This is the first video I have seen so far that shows the "source" rock with a stream running over it. Thank you.
Good stuff makes ya wanna head back up stream! ⚒️👍
Thanks, for the time by the river. That BC looks nice. Gonna have to check it out. Raised in Leadviile, Colo. Working my way thru Morganton , NC. Summers suck. Winters pretty good. Cawtaba River.
Looks like a beautiful place to spend a day
I like how that canyon looks like the glacier carved it out yesterday
A good hike up a beautiful canyon and finding gold. What a job! It doesn't get much better than that. Great video. Thanks.
Awesome! Very cool area!
Your scientific approach adds to natures beauty, inspirational as usual, thanks
Educational video. It saves me from scouring the hills trying to find gold. From most of the videos people post I have found that precious metals are truly rare.
Thanks for the uploads man, been watching you for about a month now. Got me so inspired, i'm taking my girl with me to my place in Auburn to go panning! Tomorrow's the big day.
If anyone's curious, it's not as easy figuring out what Fools gold is compared to actual gold flakes. We left with a few, after a good 6 hours lol
Really great upload! It truly felt like you could be 100 miles from anything! That is an amazing canyon, got my gold fever spiking to 104.f! Thanks for sharing that!
That area is screaming to me explored, what an area, what a beautiful place, full of precious metals, an minerals! Score... Keep me posted on that, when your ready! I'm super excited about collab paydirt upload! I can't wait to see that BC spectacular paydirt. Wow nice stuff you guys landed on Over there!
do you take these fines that you show us? Or are they too hard to colect out of the black sand?
Incredible location and ore! You fellas definitely have the knowledge and grit to "git er done"! Thanks for taking us with you.
Nice pan of gold!
We have alot of rocks like your videos ,when i will back
I will try to explore them like you
Thank you very much
and thank you very much again and again
Nice spot to sluice 🔥🔥🔥🤙 top gravels
A polarizing filter might help.
What amazes me is that a speck of gold falls to the bottom of a pan faster than other materials
Fabulous colour in that canyon. Is that on the mainland? You are getting pretty good at panning with one hand. Thanks for all your effort to make these informative and entertaining videos.
Really nice color wish we hand more time there this visit. And yes it is on the mainland!
That goes or accords to my college years where we were taught that coarse gold becomes visible at around 4gm/ton.
Awesome video mate I’m always learning something new from you 🤠 thanks mate
Busted knuckles Prospectin
Thank for sharing that's great stuff probably pretty course gold I hope with it being that close to the source nice stuff the area I regularly dig has half the oan will be black sand with the gold not wanting to get to bottom easy at all have to shake it like crazy to get it to drop
Nice scenery, Streep climb
Very steep.
Wouldn’t the best spot be downstream? Can you find nuggets in dark rusty / red soil?
I just subbed your channel! As an avid prospector in Colorado myself, your video was both interesting to watch and educational. You clearly know some geology. peace out
Lovely area --what an office !! :)
Man what a beautiful property! Gotta be some high grade hiding around there somewhere!
Great country nice work finding the Gold
awesome, thanks for sharing. gorgeous location. just curious , instead of sending every small sample to analysis would it not be easier and eventually cheaper to powder the samples at home and use a handheld xrf scanner?
Eventually over time yes it would be cheaper. Two small issues. One being XRF analyzers and very expensive (20-30grand), also when every claim you have you have to apply a certain amount of annual work/$$ to in order to keep it otherwise you have to pay fees to the government. So we apply our sample analysis to each of the claims so we don't have to pay fees to the government always. An XRF would still be very handy, maybe is the future when the $$ permit it!
@@911mining Ah right i see, indeed thats a great way to stay fee-free then. if you ever get one , an xrd scanner is the way to go. a bit bigger then xrf but far more detailed results. btw, is this your website? www.911metallurgist.com/equipment/portable-xrd-analyzer/
No they are a huge supplier of refining and testing supplies.
We are mainly a mineral exploration company, we option, sometimes sell our properties, and we get hired a lot for exploration services. Here's our site

great teaching video thankyou
I got a few grab samples that I’m trying to figure out what names they go by. The video is on my channel if your curious. Samples came from Idaho Springs Colorado
Nice area. Wish I lived near there
Around 2 minutes 45 seconds there are some large black box like stuff in the rock I was wondering if you know what it is
Yes I believe what your seeing is Argillite it is a fine-grained sedimentary rock composed of mainly clay particles. There were a few in the center on the canyon area which have fairly straight edges.
Ugh I cant wait for spring Im just starting this hobby I'll be gold hunting in North Idaho....... hope I find something lol
I have the same plan, be careful, i'm going to honing my skill in some easier lower elevation areas before i risk broken bone and bear attacks in Idaho.
Great job on videos. Can you show us a little more specific s on how to is a quartz vein
I'm very curious how you monetize the various minerals that you identify in your prospecting. The gold panning is obvious, but what about veins or other ore deposits that entail many tons of minerals to be removed and processed? Do you sometimes re-sell the claim to others who will process it, or do you do your own mining? If so, what happens to the mined material? (i.e. steps to physically move it, how it's processed, how you get paid.) Sorry if you've answered this before (please point to answer if so.)
We typically stick to exploration, we have two main focuses, first we are hired by individuals and companies for exploration programs, prospecting, geochemical, technical programs...ect. Second we have our own set of properties, we stake claims over areas with potential undiscovered and old deposits not fully worked. Do basic exploration and find enough to get a junior or private exploration group intrested to option or potential sell of properties. Mining out deposits is a small part of what we do scince 2011 we have removed around 50 tonnes only, we will only mine out small deposits with very high grade ore, we aren't set up to be large scale miners. Some of the ore we have removed ends up at a refinery and with private buyers.
Thank you! I've watched many of your videos and enjoy them.
So when you say you stake claims do you buy land that should be free for everyone to pan and mine or is this outside the us
Were in BC Canada. Here we have an online staking system were you select a claim cell if it's not staked pay a fee and you own either the mineral ot placer rights. You dont own the land or surface rights. If you stake a claim on private property you have to let the landowner know 8 days before with a notification form saying you will be mining/prospecting. No land owner can restrict you from entering your claim or doing work (although some do, logging companies put up gates and wont give you a key without a permit and fee). There are some restrictions like how far away from buildings you have to be though.
Good job
Very informative. I really need to brush up on my geology tho!
Hey, don't know if you watch Any of Dan Hurd's videos,(he is also from B.C. like us),but not too long ago he bought some sun glasses that have a video camera in them that produce pretty good video quality! Might be worth looking into as it would be much easier for you to film your work without having to hold a camera and I would imagine you could get them with clear lenses. 😉 As always love the work and thanks for bringing us along😁
Oh nice panning
I'm trying to hang in there and watch this whole video it looks really cool but I'm starting to get dizzy
Pan samples a bit small if you were looking for gold, maybe you just wanted to see what other heavys were in the pan.? The gold could have been a little deeper down and your very small sample had nothing
Looks like a nice place. Hope you get a lot!
Yay 😃..you eventually found some colour/fines in ur test pan....fantastic...may it carry on...sending u lots of luck
Looks Sweet!
Another good one.
I might have walked that area.. parked at the bridge and walked from bridge up
Great video mate 👊🏻😊👍🏻
I have a backpack full of samples. I need help identifying what I have.
What an interesting spot you have there, looks like it was definatly worth the hike. Thankyou for sharing.
Very beautiful place
Good looking places! What does it cost to get the sample analysis done and who (company) do you use to do the analysis?
Multiple depends on sample type. ALS Minerals is good for ICP testing, cost depends on sample prep, type how many elements, typically say a 35 element ICP is around 50$ CAN
thank you from Indonesia
I wish I could positively identify minerals as well as you do
Took a lot of studying intitally and getting them wrong before being able to identify them correctly. It will come 👍
Just keep testing yourself everyday... pretty soon you'll be good... a lot of info to decode but like a game once you learn the level it becomes easier and easier
Thanks for the great videos. It would be a great help to me and others if you could identify the minerals in the sample either by pointing or editing with an arrow. I can read and read but it won’t sink in or be retained, however watching and listening I get it and can retain it.
Thanks again.
Wow the rock specimens are beautiful. I Calco Pyrite with sulfides?
Chalcopyrite, pyrite, galena, Molybdenum and free gold mainly.
Awesome area and adventure thanks be safe
Since you refer to measurements in meters would it be correct to guess your in Canada somewhere?
Yes, BC
What state or river are you prospecting in?
Looks delicious
Great video that creek looks so good. Love the mineral identification are you a geologist?
Just a season prospector, did 2 years in university but got to eager to get out in the field!

I have no formal training An old north Idaho miner who had travelled the world married my mom and taught me a bit about gold mining before he went his way ... I spent thousands of hours at fine gold placer back in the 80's / 90's moved to Alaska for a time ... back in Wash . Oregon , Idaho , Montana now semi-retired and learning to recover fine gold ( 100 to 300 mesh ) in paying quantities . Lots of it in this country . Not hard to find . Your vid's are teaching me alot about mountain stream gold and ore recognition
Thanks ! Gold to Ya'
Oh cool ok then ill be coming to canada. I prospect and am very good. But i like panning and classifying because of my autism. But is dredging free or do you have rules there too
You basically can't dredge in BC, you need a permit, conservation permission, MTO permission, has to be on bedrock with a 1.5" nozzle max. Not worth it really.
Need to learn some better panning techniques like the bounce to separate the blacks from the gold.
That's not new fairly easy to do. I had a camera in one hand and a pan in the other so I wasn't being to picky
damn this is SUCH A BEAUTIFUL location!!!!! What part of BC is this?
It is very beautiful, this is believe it or not 400 meters from the Canada/US border. It's a 4.5 hour hike in and 4.5 out for a 4 hour prospecting trip. There are huge steep mountains preventing you from going more than a few km over the border though.
@@911mining Well that & it's massively illegal to cross the border. There used to be a wagon road on the other side...that's how they accessed the mine on the US side of the border. Part of it is still there, with bits washed out...I've been up there from both sides of the main river.
If i send a picture of sample can you tell me or give me a guess what is it ?
I understand that
Look at 2:45 seconds of vid. There’s a white jacketed being 3/4 the way up mountain on the right. Very very interesting.
Lol We had 4 people on this trip, that's just one of our prospectors, must just not have his gear and visi-vest on 👍
It's an albino sasquatch.
Nice
only referring to the load samples
I don't like the videos.... I LOVE them! Thanks again. So Jealous. Now I'm going to go clean out my snuffer bottle from my last panning expedition a week ago. Just a few specks here and there but that's all I get here in SW Lower Michigan!
What state is this?
Wow lokasi yg mantap bro
Valeu meu bom ABRAÇO John in brazil
Maybe bring a metal detector with you sometime 💯👌
"MolyBENdenite"! Hahaha :) I think you mean "MoLYBdenite" ahaha I find that stuff a lot, but some of it looks more like Arsenopyrite I think. But if anything arsenopyrite is usually more closely associated with gold than molybdenite, so thats a good thing!!
Molybdenite. Probably had a brain fart! Lol
Can we see your lab?
How about the microscope can you explain what you're looking for and at?
where is that exactley ?
Cant tell exactly, somewhere in BC
It would be nice if you gave locations lat and lon and is this private land or a claim
It's on our claims.
Near Canada/USA border on Canada side closest I can tell
@@911mining You work with Brian?
No, Brian Who?
@@911mining The Brian who owns most of the other claims below yours & along the border in that area. He has piles of reports on Minfile. An Australian mining company held lots of titles in there in the past. I've been up both sides of the creek
Which state you in?
BC, Canada
Meu super like + 1 incrito!!! Brasil 😉👏👏👏
Good jub thank you..
👍🏼
You are geologist?
Have 2 years of geology in university and have taken prospecting courses. I got to eager to get out and prospect and eventually got to busy prospecting to finish university.
Why 911 maining?
If gold is stuck to the rocks like you first showed why not just scrape the rocks off into a bucket
Our bucket is our pan. It's a 5 hour hike in and 5 hours out, packing extra tools is a pain. The purpose of the trip is exploration and see the properties potential bringing tools in would just make our hike longer and limit our time there even more. We have about 3 hours of we don't want to camp over night.
Muito legal

2 specks, the rest is sulphide. if nobody mined it before then there is a reason
I guess you didn't watch the whole video were there's definitely more than a few specks. No one has mined it cause no one has found it till now. Also most minerals in this area are found in sulphide form.
Yg jawab tempat khusus Indonesia...apa pertanyaan??
Cuma batunya gold kecil semudah ya
2:36
...oh...the swinging of the camera....too dizzy for me to watch... maybe next vid...
Sorry had to hike and film same time, can't afford a camera crew lol
For Pete's sake stop moving you're camera so fast and back and forth. Your knowledge of geology is commendable but your videography sucks. Need a tripod on some of your shots. I think I'm going to be seasick!
Dude, where and why are your prospecting? Are you prospecting a claim in order to stakeout a mining operation? If you're not on ground that can be machine mined, go home dude. Stop wasting your time.
We are a professional exploration company so we dont mine anyway we prospect, option, sell claims and are hired for exploration programs. We are in a very remote area 400 meters from the Canada USA border, which has had multiple huge mining operations only several KM away. Including some old workings on this property. Machines and equipment for opening mines can be brought anywhere with the right prep.
What state or river are you prospecting in?
In BC Canada.
