Hey got a question could the reason of finding good gold got anything to do whith the frost letting out. just curiouse winter is letting out hear in Maine intresting vid liked it . Might buy a couple pans an learn how to pan whith the grand kids. Any idea if gold is in maine???? Looks like fun lots of Brooks rivers ponds here is their a kind of terain to pay attention to?? Or is their no gold in this state??? To even try ??? If any one knows please message me. you guys are the only ones that tell how much gold they get. I know I wouldn’t tell , and I think a lot of these television miners aren’t being completely truthful about how much gold they are getting, for government tax purposes.. you have to consider that you may come out with 1 ounce of gold. But by the time you send it away to have it smelted, you’re only gonna end up with about 3/4 of an ounce of 24k.. there’s still a lot of magnetite, and hematite, and possibly platinum, and silver mixed in with what appears to be pretty clean gold..
have you guys ever used mercury to get the very Feingold out of your tailings, and sent that mercury to be processed to get the gold out of it? I remember seeing an episode on gold fever where a guy would go out with his Cadillac Escalade full of 5 gallon buckets somewhere in California that he wouldn’t tell, and this place where he would scoop up the dirt was somewhere where they Just dumped dirt in order to make expressways through parts of California. And this dirt is just laying there. And this guy would come back with a Cadillac Escalade filled with 5 gallon buckets, and he’d run it through his loose in the backyard in the city, night out where there’s a lot of room n grass.. and he would get what he could out with his little sluice box/pump set up, and what he could not get any more gold out of, he put that in a 30 gallon drum, and he would pour in a quart of mercury and stir it, then send that out to have it processed. I know it’s dangerous/actually deadly to handle mercury if you’re gonna burn it off to get the gold..But that’s how that guy was doing it. I know gold fever runs repeats at least they did whenever I used to get the outdoor channel. And I have never seen a repeat of that show/episode

Would you like to meet up and go to that spot with me? I have 2 reverse helix trommels one that can process 1 ton per hour and one that can process approx 10 ton per hour that is 99.99% efficient that I built both myself! They are small enough for 1 man to carry and it classifies the material and the gold all comes up the screw and into the catch pan while running you can watch the gold fall into your pail!

When you dumped the "clay water" out and raised your pan , there was an "X" marking the spot !!!! I'd definitely go back to that spot and claim your nugget . It was at the 5:44 time stamp ..... In creeks with higher current, I always put a larger rock on my sluice. I made my sluice from an aluminum square tube 200x100mm, 4mm thick. And this sluice can float also... ;-)

I have a question; How many flecks of gold does it take to make an ounce? Or what is the approximate value of one fleck?? Is each of those flecks even worth a dollar? If you have to spend several days to only get an 1/8 teaspoon.....it just doesnt seem worth it?

Have you seen how the Indonesians do their sluicing? A Square of AstroTurf and they just throw gravely material at it and it works!! They get lovely gold in those wooden pans of theirs.

Excellent vfrequently. Nice sluice work and nice tips. One o these days I want to find a clay layering that. How often do you clean your dluice? Seemed to be quite frequntly.
With black sand and tiny iron stones in amounts like that i clean out every pail, I could probably do it every other one but i like the whole process!!!!

Man seeing you toss everything in the classifier pains me. If there were any good sized pickers they're still in the creek. I would have to either have non magnetic classifier and metal detect it or dump off somewhere I could metal detect. Not sure but I imagine a nice picker is worth alot of little flakes.
The 99.99999999 % of powder fine gold keeps us happy, on occasion you’ll find a piece you can pick up but are rare and nuggets???? Might as well catch bigfoot 🤣✅👍🏻

Their are a lots of rivers here in Maine . whith gravel beds in rivers an Brooks like this video . an lots of quarts rock also. Making me think it might be worth giving it a try if anyone knows anything I'd be awsome to know what others think thanks againe.
