When Dr. Van Gayton is speaking I notice that many people in the audience look either bored or confused. (I understood everything he said and what he said makes sense if you align yourself with his theology.)
But later when Bishop Bloomer speaks, or Jamal Bryant, they get to whooping & hollering.

This is my first time hearing about this man Dr. Van. He's a teacher and many people would rather the hooping and the emotional make me feel good talk. It's sad. Jesus taught and we should also if we're called to do so. We have to be students of God's Word and follow Him. But we never align ourselves to a man's theology which he is not presenting here. That's his conviction as he said when he started to speak.

Reading some of these comments, proves the statement that I'm getting ready make.
The Body of Christ as a whole is sick. We are sick with bitterness, unforgiveness, jealousy, anger, fear, and most unfortunately, self-righteousness.

I have heard so many people just verbally destroy Bishop Pearson, and claim to do it out love.

He did not deny God. He just now feels the love of God is for everyone and not for a selected few. And if he was willing and has lost millions of dollars, acres of land, and a lush lifestyle to preach his new message, I dont think you can discount that.
Dr. Van Gayton is my Bible teacher and he is awesome!!

You can be at peace with people but that does not mean that you compromise your beliefs. I hope and pray that Carlton receives a revelation, all we have to do is love him.
We can't pretend there is no hell because it doesn't make us feel all warm and fuzzy. The truth is the truth whether we like it or not.
I think one of the reason that has changed his mind about what he believes is because he did a careful study of this four words translated for most as hell in the entire bible...
1. Sheol
2. Hades
3. Gehenna
4. Tartarus
and also eon(age) and aionious (age-lasting or ever-lasting)
once you study this hebrew and greek words.. you might have a look to where it started for him to rethink what he believes..
France Quijano Yes this is exactly what happened. He said in a different interview that he was studying the Greek and Hebrew versions and they were not saying the same thing as the King James Version. I am not sure why other pastors do not get what he is saying.

Is God just seeing how he loves justice? For it is written, the just shall live by faith. Would then the Just One then cast the wicked with the just in heaven? Is it just to cast the offended with the offender in prison or allow the innocent to remain with the guilty? What then is the purpose for heaven? Is it not for those who believe in his only begotten son? If so, then what place is there for the wicked and to those who have no repentance?

The mistake of scholars like Van (and myself a bible college grad cum laude) is our misunderstanding of a simple word like "repent". We were taught through the ages it means to change your actions while it really means to change your mind to God's view of you instead of the church's view of you.

when i hear Bishop Carlton's Gospel of inclusion, I am reminded of Ps 1:5 "Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment , nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous". Cartlton can no more stand in the congregation of the righteous God has pushed him aside, he has an other congregation now..the congregation of sinners/perverts/serial killers & evil people..he is a bishop to them. We forget that it's the goodness, the UNCONDITIONAL love, the mercy, the kindness of God that leads us to repent, or "rethink".
Gyaton is too deep. No1 is going to get saved by his gospel. I have been "saved" for years and I understand what he is saying, but if my mother had not raised me in the way of the Lord, and perhaps she was a drug addicted prostitute and never mentioned jesus, I would never come to christ listen to Gayton. Bishop Pearson could reach me. God bless you bishop and keep preaching the gospel. Eyes have not seen nor ear hath heard...
@Psalmist100, "this is so crazy it's scary", and sad too Psalmist100, but the Bible did say things like this were going to happen prior to Christ's return. I feel so very sorry for his wife (who it seems has followed in his foot-steps) and his children. Please pray for all those involved, that the Holy Spirit will perhaps raise up either one or both of his children, in the hope of drawing Carlton and his wife back to God/Christ. God help and have mercy on us ALL.

I think there is a BIG misunderstanding of what Bishop is saying.
He NEVER said that people should not respond to the Gospel, he has simply said that whether you respond or not, you are yet redeemed.
Should we respond? ABSOLUTELY!!! That is how transformation takes place. Also, in Romans 2, Paul lets us know that it is the "goodness of God that leads us to repentance...". Not hell, not judgment, none of that. Religion uses that, and that's why Jesus told the Pharisees in Matthew 23

CDP and others are showing everyone where & how those doctrines were created, which men created them to create & maintain power over others. Yea, I have to agree with you there. I honestly don't get Carlton Pearson's theology. But neither do I get the abusive attitude of the "Hellfire and Brimstone" doom and gloom preachers. There has to be some kind of middle ground in this whole thing. I think the issue here is finding the (theological and spiritual) balance.

The difference between Carlton and Van Guyton is that Carlton is promoting his own idea but Van Guyton is basing his position on the facts-- His scripture is alot more specific to the question of are we automotaically saved or must we REPENT AND BELIEVE to be saved..The Bible shows alot more support for the latter than the former-- takes someone with common sense to see the facts and accept it

Just so you are aware; the so-called church in Chicago where Carlton is the interim pastor is not now, nor has it ever been a "real" or "traditional" church. The founder is a woman named Johnnie Colemon who came out of the so-called "unity" church. They dont believe Christ is God or our Savior. They believe Christ is our 'way shower.' They sing about Christ, but are Universal Unitarianistic in there beliefs, doctrine &dogma, which is Y Carlton is there. Christ Universal Temple is "new thought."
I must be missing something -- what is wrong with believing there is no hell? Is it because these nay sayers would be missing their satisfaction of knowing those who are not in their following may come to heaven too? The only times I would say, "You don't have to go along to get along" would be when saying you don't have to do drugs, have sex, steal, etc to fit in with people or make friends. I wouldn't use it to explain Christ's work on the cross mainly because of Romans 10:9.
What I notice in each comment posted by those who hate CDP's message is an intense hatred for their fellow man, sitting in judgment of others, something Christ said not to do, but, I've come to stop expecting self-identified "Christians" to treat others as Christ actually taught. It's not their bag. They'd rather project their own personal issues onto others, saving their most "potent" venom for those who remind them of who & WHAT they really are when they think no one's watching.

Teach Christ so that the soul does not have to endure punishment before being reconciled to God. Teach Christ so that a person know that while they are here on earth, they can manifest Christ by loving their fellow man and treating him/her in the way they would want to be treated which Christ said was the narrow road to life. He said the Law and the prophets is to treat others in the way that you would want to be treated and then He continued on about the narrow road to life (referring to what He said previously as being that narrow road to life: treating others as you would want to be treated). THAT is the faith of Jesus. We are saved by grace (ie. nothing we have to do on our part) through the faith that says, you must love others as self. That's really the meaning of being saved by faith which should really be 'saved the Faith'. The Faith being His commandment to love one another (as self).
Ok so I'm not biggest Jamal Bryant fan in the world but I do want to say this and it's not just for him but for all the preachers that we have up on youtube let's not keep putting them down because for 1 their human and for 2 if we as christians keep putting down our own then people that are not saved and come upon clips like these or other will start to think that there is no preacher that isn't crooked. If you have a problem with a certain preacher or preacher for the sake of those watching

So many people hear his ideology and miss the larger point. People, who claim to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, judge, condemn, and push away the people who Jesus Christ would have loved unconditionally. We should be able to disagree peacefully. If you feel that a person is in error, pray for him. If an opportunity arises to talk about the disagreement, we should do so in love and in the spirit of Christ.
please don't down them on air because we don't know who we could be hindering from getting something that they might need to help them though the day. Like I said I'm not the biggest Jamel Bryant fan but he said so very good things on here and we shouldn't want people to lose focus on that because of his personailty. Or post your pastor or wife preaching and send people to them.
@zewak4567, How can it be love and Christ centered when it speaks against the very Word it's supposed to stand for? Have u verified by the Bible and the Holy Spirit if any of what Carlton says is true by "God's" standards? Just because Carlton doesn't accept hell which is spoken about many times over in the Bible, doesn't mean it is not there. My heart goes out to him and I pray he comes back to Christ before it's too late.

II Tim. 3:13-17- Imposters will become worse and worse. We need to get to know our doctrine and God's Word for OURSELVES b/c if not, we will be so easily deceived!

On the day of Judgment, when we all have to stand before the judgement seat of Christ, the blood of all those mislead, lied to, and deceived by preachers, will scream out for justice and someone will have to answer for it. I am a young minister in the gospel and I pray often to God to let me only say what He puts into my heart, to come out of my mouth!

I stand amazed at some of the comments support pearson's "gospel of inclusion" when the WORD IS CLEAR ON THE TOPIC-- I mean people pick up the word and approach it objectively instead of reacting by your emotions..truth is truth and the word is the absolute truth dont add to it and do not take away from it....it is not that peaopl crave freedom it is that they crave not being held accountable in accordance with God's standard and his word. God's word tells us that the leaders of God's people are held to a higher stander. And we are all called to call out any false teaching. Pearson is changing God's word and he wants people to have a warm fuzzy feeling about him. It's not going to happen. Especially if you're continuing to spread lies.

If your experience of God is through Jesus, I bless you with that experience. But you cant deny other people's experiences of God. I do not feel that in an earth with 7 billion humans here currently and trillions of human beings that have passed through earth that God meant for everyone to be automatons to the same message.

What has happened to Carlton is devastating to me! Saddly, he problem is not a theological problem! There are few ministers, historians, philosophers, theologians, etc that know the "WORD" and the and the biblical languages and test as well as he does. His problem is simply MORAL one. He MUST have some iniquity that he has got allowed the Holy Spirit to give him victory over so he has changed his doctrine to accept his immoral lifestyle! My personal opinion, he is a closet homosexual!
Stephen, speaking the truth has nothung to do with it-- It depends on HOW you spoeak the truth. We must speak the TRUTH but we must do it in love. Saying that God loves you but you must believe to be saved is not a doctrine of hate and ignorance its God's word.
