I find the Bluetooth range on mine to be quite surprising as well. It reaches fine in most parts of the house where I’d be roaming and it will give an alert if it loses connection which is nice. I use it whenever I need more probes than the 2 on my Smoke.
I’m glad you are getting good Bluetooth range with you 4 probe unit. I have the 2 probe model the signal barely reaches into my kitchen, 50 ft away from the pit.
Smoking n' DC as of now it’s working well. Time will tell. If the range starts decreasing I’ll let you know.
Smoking n' DC I sent mine back. Temp was 10 to 15 degrees off.

I have the inkbird 4 probe with remote monitor. I just used it yesterday and it worked flawlessly. I smoked a pork loin and a port belly. It took about 5 hours. The outside temp was -5C to 0C. The thing I like most is the rechargeable ion battery. The transmitter had more then half a charge when I finished and the receiver had about 3/4 charge left. This was the second smoke on the charge. I have a master chef and can not find any specifications for it.

Is there a temperature alarm
A good way to check temp accuracy of Thermometers and Chef Alarms is check it on boiling water.
Unless you're not at sea-level or your barometric pressure is low or high due to weather, in which case your boiling water *might* only be 200degF. First, find the barometric pressure at your location and then look up the boiling point of water at that pressure to do the calibration against.
The temperature of ice-water (long sitting water with ice in it) is a more stable calibration point.
Make sure you're at sea level
You did a great job on hitting the highlights of this thermometer. I have one of these and been using it for several months and I love it. I've left it outside in the rain a few times and it still works. The one thing I've realized is that the probe I'm using for the pit temperature needs to be clean to get an accurate temperature. If there's black soot or whatever on the probe, it appears to cause some inaccuracies. This may be true for all probes for all thermometers.
Tom's Food Factory I find that same think with the built in thermo on my pellet grill. If it has any debris on it it reads 10 to 20 degrees higher then it should.
What's a safe is highest temperature it can read in the BBQ
Did you ice water test it boiling water test? Can you calibrate it?

No I don’t think it can.
Lol you wouldn't want that feature. Every piece of meat is different. Does any device claim to have such a feature and how would that be possible? the accuracy would have to be + or - 2 hours in some cases.
Can you set alarms for each of the probes (low alarm and high alarm) as well as showing the current temp? I find the low alarm is useful if I have an unintentional flameout on the smoker. I also find it handy to have an adjustable high alarm set point so I can be notified with an audible alarm of a grease fire inside.
I believe you can set individual alarms.
Does the app work on both iOS and android? Did you do an ice water and boiling water test? I have a Samsung S 9 and really don’t want to have to go out and by an iPhone. I have ear marked this one as one that I really like. The four probes got me. If it registers in a two or three degree variance that’s not bad.
John Manthey I looked on the internet and it appears they make the BQQgo app for Android. Didn’t do the ice or boil test. Just used my thermoworks smoke and thermapen to compare, which I know are accurate. Thanks for watching
How do you change this to Fahrenheit? Is only done on the app

Thanks for the review. But how can you say that having a display that you can't read in sunlight isn't really a problem?
I would think the whole idea if having a large display is to be able to check the temperature at a glance and not have to look at your phone. It seems that this is an oversight by the manufacturer and is something they could easily fix if they wanted to. I have this same unit that I bought on sale. It is still new in box. I got it for myself but will now be gifting it and getting myself one that I can read.
Most displays suffer from the direct sunlight problem, I just hold my hand over it for a second to shade it, or change the angle of the display so the sun doesn’t effect. No big deal.

Its nice but it is worthless once you get a new phone. I paired it with my old phone. Now I have my new phone and it will not pair. There is no way to un-pair the old phone so I am stuck.
best way to check your thermometer is in a glass of ice water, they should read 32 degrees

It asks for a pass code wen I try to connect it to my Samsung galaxy s10+ .. can't connect it

Bradley Davis the screen is a little hard to read in sunlight, the the bluetooth app is a bit limited, it works, but I’d like to be able to customize it more.
