    I’ve just been bought one for Xmas, it’s great! I’ve noticed that it says pork is done at around 65 degrees c which is wrong in the UK as the Gov guidelines is 75 degrees c can’t change it on the pre-set temps…

    Great video. Might I make a suggestion on your choice of can. I've been told told to use a soup can. Open and clean removing the label. Apparently the paints use on beverage can don't hold up to heat well and can release toxins

    Just seen this video as I am looking for a thermometer, just admiring your grate, where did you get it, the standard Weber ones are pretty flimsy

    One of the probes should have been blunt and without a cover for the ambient temperature

    • @BBQForBeginnersUK
      @BBQForBeginnersUK  3 года назад

      Thanks for the comment. Having the cover on makes no difference if just measuring the ambient temperature, it will still show the ambient temperature and same applies to probe being blunt or not. But if you mean the temperature inside the bbq beside the chicken! - the cover of the probe was removed . Please note, the probes supplied are pointed , but that makes no difference to the recording of temperatures.

      I purchased this thermometer today, one of the probes isn't designed for meat. Check out another video on RUclips to see.

      @@47AgStudios all four of the probes in the box I received contained 4 identical pointed probes. All of which are suitable for measuring the internal temperature of meat as well as the temperature inside the bbq beside the meat. I am aware of the blunt probes your are referring to, but this particular model only came with 4 pointed probes.

    Are the probes and cord waterproof?

    • @BBQForBeginnersUK
      @BBQForBeginnersUK  4 года назад

      The probes are pretty much like other probes, you should not put them in a dishwasher, just clean the part that goes into the meat with warm water and a cloth or gently with a scrubber. Thanks for the question and for watching the video.

    At 9:55 you stick the prong into what your saying is the breast. I'm pretty sure that wasnt the breast but rather the back or hind leg if you will. Otherwise thanks for the video. Just having a look as mine is in the post.

      Yeah, I think it was more on the side of the chicken. Well spotted. Thanks for watching Rudi. 👍🏼
