Depends who's breeding (there's always that guy breeding for 'feisty' cattle), but for the most part they're incredibly docile. They're calm enough to make pretty great pet cows, and can be trained almost like dogs.
our heifiers we just sold were a bitch to move the were big ones too! 2 got behind us out side of the barn and thank god we got them back before they went into the corn!! we need a set up like yours! :)
are longhorn cattle prone to being aggressive ???? I'am so glad brahmans angus heriford ect here in Australia don't got horns like that looks so dangerous
the only thing steers are good for is beef.... heifers/cow and bulls are usually bought for breeding.... that's why there more expensive than steers.... it would be foolish to buy a bull or heifer/cow for beef
Your longhorns sure are beautiful!
They sure know where the tips of their horns are.
Life as a longhorn is one of constantly saying (mooing) "excuse me" and "so sorry."

Finally realized what that thumping noise is, all those horns clacking together XD

What a pain!! Doesn't it just make you want a plain ole Angus right around loading time? Down the chute, into the truck!

rebeks ando, no. They’re usually pretty docile. So much so that you can train them to be ridden, with a saddle on their back.

Why not cut the horns off? They going to be killed any way?
