Agreed. I like John, but I really don’t care for any of the other “Ramsey Personalities.” I get succession planning, but Dave is the brand.

Actually, a lot of “boomers” make sense.
The younger generation is often impulsive, impatient, disrespectful, and a bunch of “know it alls” who don’t really know anything.
The older generation has experience and wisdom. Respect your elders and you just might learn something.
school choice the money should follow the kids. being home schooled is a gift when its done right, the social experiment where the schools are more like managing a prison system then anything else should be ended now if the school isn't producing. being around proper adults with adult behavior is a great benefit
I'm a liberal, but I think the estate tax should be eliminated. It's double-taxing!
Taxing an estate and taxing a person are not the same thing.
An estate is a legal entity and a person is a human.
It's like saying cooperate taxation is double taxing.

Hi Dave, I live in Cananda. I have two houses with mortgages and 2nd, 3rd mortgages on the property. Is it better to refinance and pay off the debts or selling is the best choice

Your right there is no tax
The state of Florida does not charge an inheritance or estate tax, but the federal estate tax applies everywhere in the US.

Death tax always seemed the least evil of all the taxes.
I mean your dead, your rights to property have gone away.
If I was in charge of deciding tax policy I would have a 50% death tax on everybody and reduce income tax by whatever the extra death tax raised.

Your policy would benefit estate lawyers, who would find ways to avoid this tax for anyone who could afford to pay for their services.
That's a terrible idea. Ban people from saving money for their children and see how fast this country goes bankrupt.

The same dollar can be taxed a hundred times a year, when people buy things which the income of is spent on something else and so on and so on a hundred times a year. But it's still taxed every time it's earned or spent based on the fact that new person owns the money.
