This is a fan work cover covered by creative commons. Arrangement by Dean Kopri heavily inspired from Tomb Raider Anniversary by Troels Brun Folmann and original TR1 theme by Nathan McCree.
What to say about this? I was blown away when Anniversary Edition files went public and how TR community got together to make it playable in just a couple of hours. BIG THANKS and congrats to everybody who made (and are still making) this happen!
I'm not a programmer and don't have the skills to work on a game itself, but music is something where I feel comfortable so I made this theme for the game. :D So this is would be my present for the 25th anniversary of the Tomb raider game and all TR fans around the world. This canceled game was supposed to be released back in 2006 (I think) and here we are, in 2021, finally playing it!

Beautiful work! Definitely gives Crystal's Anniversary theme, which is exquisite in its own right, a run for its money. I also think that it sums up what Core's game was shaping up to be - a more faithful update to the original.
Thank you! :D yeah, when I was working on it I wanted to stay true to the simplicity of the original theme, and more ambient aspect of the Crystal's theme. I just used more strings, much more xD For so called main theme, I love it to be more focused on pretty melodies then on ambience... guess that's why it turned out like this :)

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Dean, your work is always a joy to listen to. Nobody captures the emotion, mystery, adventure, and spirit of the game like you. I only hope that one day you're invited to score an official title - it's the absolute least your work deserves

You gotta love how the reappearance of one old, barely working alpha more or less revived the fandom. I love this take on the theme, and I may or may not be replacing the official anniversary one with this.

If anyone manages to create a completely working version of this game (and I'm sure someone will), this needs to be the main menu theme! It's absolutely perfect for the Anniversary Edition 😻 this year has been off to such a great start for everyone in the Tomb Raider community, the things that happen with this build daily are absolutely amazing, I think we have discovered our very own artifact and we are all part of restoring it to its full glory and making it shine the way it was supposed to!
I honestly hope this will be included in AE one day! Thank you!

This is wonderful! I can't wait for the files to be fully playable and hear this in a menu - it perfectly captures a lot of the memories from the originals and feels nostalgic but still fresh to me! Great job!

Please remake the Trailer that was Releases back then. ( I know Weopans and Cutscenes dont work yet, but maybe you can fake or replace that).

this is all nice, but i really dont understand why people spending so much energy on this piece of unfinished turd. Why people just all dont get together and use all that time they investing into this crap, and create amazing fan made remake in unreal engine 4. I really dont get it, frankstaining product that was so poorly made that looks even worse than some fan made levesl is beyond any logic to me. I would rather put all this effort and help nicobas to finish that TR2 remake that he have started.
On some level I do agree with you. However, let people choose whatever they want to invest their time to. I worked with Nico and I can say that was such a great experience because at the beginning it was only 2 of us... When you have more people, bigger fuss. Especially when working only over the internet. I can't imagine having a big team of people working on DoX.. On some other TR project, yeah, why not :) Although making a big TR related project in, as you said it, Unreal engine might end up badly with SE or CD not giving it permission...
@@DeanKopri People can do whatever they want I'm not stopping it. I work in games, VFX and animation industry, and now due to covid we work on huge projects over the internet. You just need good leaders and money of course to do that. Yeah I was just saying dont get it, but people can do whatever they want lol. But me personally instead of fixing something that is fundamentally broken it would be way easier to make same thing in unreal, will save you money and time and will look better. But again anyone can spend their lives how they want.
