Hi Dean, I have to say that you've truly captured the spirit of Tomb Raider with your music. Music so often goes under-estimated in games and having played the Demo I was as impressed with contribution of your score as I was with the visuals and gameplay. There's an outstanding faithfulness to the original themes whilst still expanding and modernising them to fit the next generation. My favourite track is Beneath the Chamber, with it's perfect orchestration for the surroundings. Thank you for sharing the complete track list with us, and I can't wait to see where this project goes in the future.
Hey David! Thank you :) "Beneath the Chamber" started as a test track (and more ambiental loop track) , but during the composing, Nico liked my preview and we agreed that since it will be end of the demo, it would be cool to make a TR motif more present. Adding the rest of percussion once the Credits start to roll was I nice touch.
This is so brilliant! I'm really dissapointed on the last TR trilogy. If they have anything planed for the future, I really hope they can revive the true Lara Croft. Amazing work you guys have done. Amazing
The Finally Out song from the game does bring me to tears, It does sound like A Long Way Up from the original Tomb Raider 2, it's just beautiful to listen to that :'(

Majestic is the only word I could use to adequately describe this. You have such a talent for evoking the *perfect* vibe for Tomb Raider, honouring the source material and adding all these magical embellishments that just takes them to the next level. And they're incredibly emotive - the nostalgia rush is *intense*. The '20th Anniversary Theme' in particular; it would make an fantastic opening theme for a Classic Lara movie.

Its a tragic thing, this attempt of recreating a true to the roots TR game never saw the final light of its release. The still available demo version is such a galant homage, a well forged amalgam out of the older spirits with some new mixed in features (like diary entries). I'd wish the team behind it might have tried to get it done via Kickstarter or some company would have approached them. I hope all of them achieved their utmost best possible after the work upon this astonishing demo version. Have a good day everyone.

I love the remake of the main theme. The Tomb Raider 2 theme has always been my favourite and most relaxing piece of classical music since I was a kid and always makes me imagine myself being outside in my dream large rural garden of my dream house during a clear blue night with the wind blowing through the trees. I'm crying now lol Thank you so much for recreating that track in a perfect and respectful way to the series. I like how you've given it the touch of an Asian atmosphere with your version of the woodwind music to fit with the main China setting, more so than the original game itself lol
It is so pure oldschool Tomb Raider. It is like the soundtrack should be in a TR game. Not the new reboot crystal dynamics shit. I have the feeling in Shadow of the Tomb Raider there is no real soundtrack. Just some jungle drums and ugly violins during the young lara scene.

Gosh, Tomb raider2 is my childhood and this remake is perfect. I SO wish it was a full game. The soundtrack is rich and I swear it gave me a rush of pure nostalgia.
Lovely from start to finish. Every piece is superb. I especially like the jolt of adrenaline you get from "Laohu (Chinese Tiger)"; the sense of awe and wonder of "Light and Water"; the creepy, horror-film vibe of "Spider Tower"; the tense and ominous feel of "Run or Die"; and the sense of discovery that permeates "Secrets in the Chamber." My favorite piece is "Beneath the Chamber," though. It oozes mystery and exploration, and I absolutely love the way you incorporated bits of the iconic Tomb Raider theme while adding a distinctly Chinese feel. Extremely well done. I can only imagine how amazing the pieces you'll create for the rest of the game will be!
I can't thank you enough for your amazing music and the justice you've done to my favourite game character. If I'm down in the states again, I'd love to shoot a promo for you. Cheers

TR2 was one of my first PC games and the main theme gave me the same feeling as if i had run the game and heard the original again after a long time! You earned a sub for the outstanding work
Thank you for the nice comment. At first, "Finally out" and "Towers of the Great wall" were one longer track, but it didn't fit because of the crows attack, so I had to split them... but "The Crows" track turned out good so I didn't mind :D

“The finally Out” part was always my fav part in the original Tomb Raider 2 game and I love how they kept it and completely amplified it with this fan remake and made it count with the visuals showing an actual authentic looking Great Wall of china that goes on for miles rather than what was presented in the original where this scene was only like a quarter of the wall before coming across another town…to be fair it was 97 at the time so I get technology wasn’t as advanced as it is today…but still. But always loved that finally out music the few times it was used in Tomb Raider 2 and I believe it was utilized at least once in Tomb Raider 3!

One of the tracks which intrigues me is "The Cave". It captures the feeling of a mystery dwelling under the surface... A little bit Uncharted 3-like... Really like it. But every tracks are great.
Glad you like it! :) "The Cave" was the 1st one I did (not counting Main menu theme) and it was easiest to make since the atmosphere of that part was amazing! :)
We should almost create a new style in ambient / incidental music, called something like "archaeological ambient", because it's actually a style on its own, and as it so happens, one of my favourites.

I really love the demo! I always wanted a Tomb Raider 2 Remake and Nicobass project meet all my expectations and beyond. Now it is almost a year and there are sadly no news about it. Is it still going? I hope so, because the demo was so amazing!

Where is the theme "Venice"? I like that one a lot
Since the demo is based on the Great wall level from TR2, this soundtrack has only those tracks included so far
