Hey everyone! Recently I have been learning SO many life hacks and home hacks from the app TikTok! These are so good I just had to share them with you all! I am testing everything from affordable home decor hacks, easy organization hacks, cleaning hacks, life hacks and home improvement hacks! Trust me, these hacks will make your life so much easier! I liked the tape behind the picture frame. I think that's helpful and smart. I have seen X.O. McKenna use paint with Baking powder/soda. Great idea too. Also the towel folding is classic.
Actually any kind of oil, like cooking oil, works for removing sticking label residue.

Remove stickers with hairdryer on the hot mode, it can soften the glue on the back of the label, start from one corner of the sticker, gently peel it off as the hot air soften more glue, this method removes the entire sticker with the back glue all in once, and the surface remains dry ( so it can remove labels on Amazon parcel boxes like a pro)
Or use hand sanitizer or any type alcohol it dissolves the adhesive.
Rub baby oil over the glue and it comes right off
Omg ty lol now I can finally take off the stickers my sis put on my bed without hurting my finger ;-; lol

What are those towels for? I’ve never been to a spa or hotel. Are thy body towels to use after showering or does each person open a whole new towel to dry their hands after going to the bathroom?

I would like to say that you have even taught this old dog new trick or two. But I would like to add a suggestion that you might would like to try on hanging your pictures and stuff take two marbles set them on the top when they're level the marbles won't roll if it's downhill one side or the other marbles roll down hill.

I am trying to understand which one is my favourite: it must be the first one with the baking soda. I knew that it made it a sort of chalk paint, but I didn't know that in big quantity of soda it could be so textured.

Love the bath towel technique. The only thing I would not do is fold my towels on the floor and then put them out for use.

You can use Vaseline to remove the sticky from labels as well
Rubbing alcohol helps with the labels as well for those who don't have essential oil!
I use my blowdryer to warm uo the label then it comes out easily and there's so glue or stickiness on the jar
Yesssss I use Rubbing alcohol for Everything and I mean everything 😂
Cooking oil works as well
I have been resealing my bread bags in this manner since the 1980s. Yes I’m old!
Donna Terry so I don't need to save the hundreds of tabs that "decorate" my three tier hanging metal baskets. I AM my father's daughter. Maybe there's a Pinterest post about what to do with them besides jimmying the "In Jack cables" to that old DVD player. Have also used them to mark which plug is which so I don't unplug the clock to vacuum. That's two uses. Now to find two hundred more. I'm older probably. Not depression era but parents who were.
We just store ours in the fridge 🤷🏻♀️. We just don’t eat it fast enough and hate wasting it!

Lemongrass is not a citrus fruit. Glad it still worked for you though.
The removal is probably more to do with the oils rather than the acidity of the plant that they’re derived from. After looking this up, it seems like any cooking oil can remove sticker adhesive if you leave it on long enough.

These were super helpful! The paint/baking soda upcycle hack is amazing - I have sooo many half-used sample pots of paint that I could use for that project LOL!! you can also remove sticker residue by rubbing peanut butter or coconut oil over it, then letting it sit for a bit. I think any oil removes it, really.
Love it! I’ve been using the tape to hang up my wall decor for awhile now and wow it’s a game changer!
You can also use nail paint remover (acetone) to remove those adhesive marks or sticky messy stickers. Loved these hacks ❤️
I've used rubbing alcohol on hard surfaces to remove the sticky left from labels. But you have to pick and choose when that's safe. I ruined the suade under the bottom of a pair of blue suade boots from Dirt Cheap using rubbing alcohol.

My favorites that you shared that i never knew about since I'm not on tik tok is the painters tip for wall hangings and the essential oils on the glass products. That blew my mind. Thanks for sharing Kristen especially for people like we who don't use all the social media apps out there.

Hi Kristen. Love your videos! Can I make a suggestion? When you record in a room, wear a microphone. Without it, the sound in echoey and you sound distant.
Now for these hacks... I love the towel roll hack. I will definitely be rolling our towels. My linen cabinets are stuffed with all the bath and pool towels. This should help!
The bread bag hack made me smile. I grew up doing this and I’m 56. I guess my mom was the original “hacker”!

I do the same with my towels. But I add one more step (makes a huge visual difference)
So.. Do the first two steps.. Then flip the whole thing over and resume your following steps.
It will create a triangle figure. I find it more beautiful ;) Let me know what you think :)

Using the towel hack, label remover hacks. I like the measuring hack but I have a Samsung cell. Love ideas for bedroom, bath, living room, family decors, vases, plants etc.

I love your videos. For one thing they are not too long. To get stickers and labels off you can also use a hair dryer. Did not appreciate the hair care commercial. More and more you tubers are putting them in their videos and it is getting annoying. At least I can skip past it LOL.
All the hacks are good. Personally don't approve of folding towels on be floor, too many germs and nasty stuff tracked in and then transfer to towels you're going to use on your body and face, gross.

Swiss coffee is the paint I used throughout my entire home. It’s a great color.
Hot water also removes the tags from products! Save you on using your precious and expensive essential oil!

It's great hair care and they are really helpful. But...I stopped using it as it has silicones...
For the price sticker residue on things like candles and jars, a couple of drops of water and drop of dish detergent works just as well. Rub it around a bit and let it sit for a minute and then wipe off with damp cloth
I've been rolling my hand towels for years but might start doing it with all my towels looks really good.
Another hack for removing labels is to heat the sticker with your hairdryer and it will peel right off leaving no sticky residue

For the labels. Soak them in hot water for a couple minutes. It comes right off!

If you’re getting these tips from others on TikTok or other social media, it goes a long way to give them some credit by including their handles or clips of their videos. It shows you care about other people’s ideas and work.
News flash. None of these ideas are Tik Tok genius ideas. They have been around forever. There is no reinventing the wheel - you just roll with it.
Measurements taken with the iphone app are not accurate. I took measurements of my blinds that needed to be replaced and all the measurements were off so I had to make another trip to home depot.
