As someone with no kids, I enjoy seeing what motherhood could look like on the day to day! The flowers in your garden look so beautiful Ashley. Also what a cool potential opportunity for Rook to go to forest school! My partner had a very outdoorsy childhood, including lots of time spent exploring the bush in NZ. He loved it & its made him a more independent and confident adult. Whatever choice you guys make rook & finn seem like super happy kids :)
Forest school is amazing if its thoughtful and intentionally organized. Highly recommend 😊
We had the exact same thing happen. I'm on mat leave with my second until may but a spot on the waitlist for childcare became available to us. We have been on the waitlist since the day he was born and he is 2.5 now. Childcare is nearly impossible to find in our town (northern BC) so we jumped on it even though I am home.
From my experience, I did feel a little guilt at first because I was feeling like "well im home, I can spend time with my child", but honestly it has been so good for him. He finally has friends and is learning to listen and adapt to other adults before school. We are so happy we did this. Only downside was now he gets sick from the other kids.
The forest school sounds like an amazing opportunity! Educational time playing outside with other children for Rook during the fall and a little more time for you. If it’s only two days a week I would go for it.
Definitely enroll him. What an amazing opportunity-for you and him

I’m a stay at home mom with a 2.6 year old girl and I used to work before I had her. I wanted to be a stay at home mom so so bad because like you said this time with them is so precious and short etc. But man it’s tough 😆 she is a busy busy girl and needs so much stimulation and play and she challenges me so much so I’m also constantly going between loving some days and not doing great on others! I totally feel you!
Would love a video on tips on how to go out with two small kids in public. I can't even handle one outside the house.
If is just twice a week maybe it’s good to try it, sometimes you get to meet other mothers (not always) that can share the struggles with you.
