You asked and I say no, not yet. I can wait ‘till the M12 comes out first and then decide if I want a used M11. New would be nice but used is a better value. People are buying new M11Ms and selling off their M10Ms right now. I just bought a used M10M for a thousand less than they were selling for just a few months earlier. It’s damn near new and a great deal.
I love that but damn I am afraid of buying used at this price point - if for nothing else the repair bill if needed. Having a warranty with a camera at this price point is imperative for me.
Hi! I'd rather save $3000 and repair if needed. Leica Store Miami stands by their stuff and have a good return policy. Also, nothing ever breaks under warranty haha.@@kaskoPhoto
@@kaskoPhotoWell I see it the same as Scott. I mean we also buy a used car without warranty, for much more money, and it’s much more (ab)used. So I personally have no problem with buying used products/cameras. You can repair almost everything, so it’s ok for me.
You are a man after my own heart . Used the M6 back in the day. The only reason I stop was the newspaper I was working for stopped insuring & repairing Leica.
I get that. I am def in the same boat. Finding a backup that works with the M11 is a never ending journey. The Q2 works but the 28mm is not my first choice (as amazing as it is)
Long story short, he sold/traded in his M11's because of reliability issues and now uses SL2 for work. Just another M11 user who had complications with the camera. I hope Leica gets their act together. I still love my 15 year old M9.
Great vid! I’m trying to choose between an M10 and the M11. I intend to keep it for a very long time so naturally I want to go with the M11 since its electronics, etc are the newest and not aged, but I keep reading nonstop stories about freezing, shutter failures, misaligned RF from the box, etc…really makes me think twice about an M11 especially considering the cost and it should be flawless at that point imo. How has your M11 been treating you? Also, how do you feel about the difference between the black aluminum and the silver brass? Do you think the aluminum will hold up over time?
I just sold my M9. I have Leica 35mm and 50mm f1.4 FLE and both are old version. Do you think these 2 lenses working well with 60MP sensor of M11? Some people said that you should get new APO or FLE II to get best result from M11 sensor.
May be a blessing in disguise. You’ll be able to afford the M12! Just take the extra money you earn from your work and put it away for that day! Have an amazing year.
@@kaskoPhoto Well, I will certainly try, might take a while, made an impressiv amount of 250€ last year with my Photography... I guess thats the trait of someone who loves Streetphotography 😄 You have an amazing year too! 🙂
Mr. Kasko, i’m just a year plus into using Leica Rangefinders. I bought 3 Film M’s all new. One of which a Leica M-A has been sent to Wetzlar after developing a trivial fault. I greatly enjoy using them and due to this have considered purchasing a M11. Even a superficial googling and even Reddit turns up multiple posts of issues plaguing the M11. And the fact that you had to get yours replaced multiple times. What are your opinions for a potential digital Leica user like me ?
If you get an M11, Make sure you need all the MegaPixel (60) that comes with it; and also get an APO lens to go with the M11 so you are able to resolve a sharp image with the 60mp of M11. Otherwise, you might want to consider the M10 or M10-P or M10-R/40MP. Also, you will need to choose a higher shutter speed when shooting with the M11, because with a sensor that high of a resolution, there is no room for even the tiniest camera shake.
All you need is another M11 to backup your first

@@mullerman1104 honestly, I bought and buy a lot of beer used. But I do have to look at the brand, the cost of repair and the timeframe for repair.

I use 2 DSLRs for weddings. They allow me to shot from 16mm to 200mm and it means that I always have a backup camera. I can’t afford 2 M-11s.

I've got an M9-p that's got such a vibe
Thanks for ur review. Love this
M11 Monochrome has been a joy to use, and when I feel the itch for color 5% SL2s which also is a joy to use.
If I could switch to black and white exclusively I would in a minute! Damn clients and their needs 😂😂 Someday I’ll be able to 🙏🏻
M11 and film MP is perfect for me and love the experience of both. Pure perfection.
I did love film and my daughter enjoys it now as well. But the current pricing is such a financial burden
I’ll stick to my S5iiX aka basically an SL3-S.

Wish I could afford one

If you buy new you should have no issues at all. They did have issues with the first run (a component) but have since replaced that issued part.
Is it not difficult to sharpening the shoots with portraits?
If you mean to focus correctly for sharpe photos - no
What is that finger/thumb strap? Thanks.
That is the finger loop that screws into the Leica Grip. You can view it on the Leica website. It will be listed as a grip accessory
M11 mp is coming out soon!
The upgraded internal memory is very attractive as an upgrade. (Just a presumption that it will be upgraded)
Do you think Leica M would be good to take Sports Photography?
No. If you shoot sports for a living, I would go with a autofocus camera.
no!!!!

Can’t afford it my only reason 😢
I saved for a long time to get it. Loooong time
Will you PLEASE fix your sound?
It’s gotten better in the later videos. It took time 😂
