I really enjoy filming these videos because I love my ipad pro. Today I talk to you about the reasons why I bought an ipad pro for college. I tell you guys my personal pros and cons about the ipad pro and just my opinion in general on if it's worth it or not (: Hope you guys enjoy!!

This is really nice, I wouldn’t have to bring a bunch of notebooks with me + I get to cut off my spending on ballpens, highlighters, and such. Thank you so much. I’m going to suggest this to my parents and hopefully I can have my iPad Pro next year. 💜

i've been debating on whether I should get an iPad as a prospective freshman in college. I already do a good amount of online notetaking as a student since I use Onenote on a touchscreen computer, but the problem was the lack of storage on my onenote account for all my notes. so I have been debating on whether I should make the switch! This really did help with my understanding, thank you!

I personally use my Ipad pro for writing all DB posts, some notes, daily communication, readings online and checking in with school work/emails/scanning documents. With work i use it for all my CBT trainings and all of my monthly meetings. For all "real" papers for college i use my Macbook.

I was so excited when I bought my iPad! It definitely helped me with a lot of things. I agree that when I use paper, I use so much paper and the iPad helped me with using less paper💞because I could just type it or write it out on my ipad.

I’m thinking about getting an iPad for taking notes in college when I go next year and I like writing stuff down it help me remember but I think I might also use my chrome book that the school is giving to us after I graduate just in case
I use my iPad and my laptop so you can totally use your chrome book and an iPad if you wanted. 😀
With this being a 10 month old video. As of NOW, would you recommend using an iPad Pro as a laptop for a freshman? I am finally starting my path in the University and honestly I went into the military service first, then got experience in working fields. So you can say I’m foreign to school now. So what are your thoughts on this? I got an iPad Pro (2018) with a keyboard and pen for $500. So instead of spending more money, would you think this is good for now?
Personally the time difference doesn’t change that a laptop is necessary for college and it can do a lot more than a iPad Pro can. An iPad cannot replace a laptop. There are some things that I can do on my laptop but not on my iPad. However, I take my iPad to school for all my notes and use it for some hw assignments while I use my laptop more at home. @@natalieminassian Hey!I was wondering if you could give examples of cases where you tried to do something on the ipad pro and you couldnt,im trying to decide if i should buy an ipad or a laptop but u said that there are things that ipads cant do,so I just wanted to knwo some examples to see if i were to find me in that case one time
@@yofrqn810 Excel, sometimes ppt doesn’t have all the options like the laptop does. Also Microsoft Word is formatted a little different then the laptop.

i'm doubting whether i'd want the MacBook Air or the iPad Pro, and watching videos from seniors in accounting really help me a lot in deciding
What did you decide? 😊 if you don’t have a laptop, I would definitely recommend getting one first. I don’t consider the iPad Pro good for replacing a laptop in my opinion.

@@domdom-hh9tx that’s just my opinion bc I personally don’t think iPads replace laptops. I had my laptop first, and then I got the iPad to take notes!

hey! I'm a junior in high school and I was thinking if I should get a really good Ipad that I can use for my senior year then for college and save money by not getting a computer. do you think I would be set with just an Ipad?
@Moesha Chhatlani I did buy the iPad and it’s amazing! But I think you would be better off with a computer? I guess it’s really up to what your gonna use it for. I’m using the iPad for notes and most of my school work!

Was debating on getting one because I also take crazy amount of notes and I have the Microsoft surface laptop 3, I love my laptop but I can’t for the life of me take notes on a laptop, just writing things down helps so much more with my learning process than typing. We have the same apple products too. I was debating on the pro or the air, do you know the difference for note taking or if it would it be the same?
I believe the note taking is the same just on some RUclips videos I’ve seen but I would definitely do more research to help you decide!😊
If I were to get the iPad Pro would I be able to use it for everything college? Homework, essays, classes, submitting or would I still need a laptop? I start school in October and am trying to decide between a laptop or the iPad Pro.
Yes. You can type essays on the iPad, upload documents and submit homework. My recommendation is, if you do not have a laptop, buy the laptop first and then purchase the iPad later. In my opinion the iPad can’t replace a laptop.
You can get a student discount year round on apple products!
Have you had any trouble between having a Microsoft laptop and an Apple tablet? The only thing holding me back from getting an iPad Pro is that I feel it would be easier to have the same software on both my laptop and iPad (I have Microsoft laptop).
Hi there! I have not had any trouble using Apple or Microsoft. I just prefer apple. You can always email things to yourself or have Google drive to access everything if you are worried 😀

do you think it matters what generation iPad you get? I was looking into getting one but was looking at the 8th generation Ipad. Are there any disadvantages to that?
I don’t think the generation really matters. Before I bought my iPad I went into Best Buy and looked at all the iPads and other tablets to really get an idea on which type I wanted. In my opinion if I was going to buy a tablet, I wanted the newest one which in this case was the iPad Pro 2020 11 inch! Not too sure about the 8th generation but I think some people have said they use that for notes too. Hope that helps!☺️

Awesome video, though I am a year late to it. I just wish there were tools like this back when I was in college. It MAY have made my studies a little less stressful. I was in college back when Windows 95 had just gone up, and we were still using 3.5 floppy disks! …😂😂. There wasn’t anything like tablets, at least not to my knowledge. Now though, they’re everywhere. I just recently, invested in an iPad air-which is almost as good as the Pro, i guess. They are pretty convenient to have and use, especially with Apple Pencil, etc. This video, along with another of yours that I’ve watched, makes me want to try going back to school just so I can use this iPad of mine, lol!
Haha I totally understand. It’s so crazy how technology is evolving and continuing to transform our lives especially in school! The iPad is definitely a fun tablet to use without school too!
@@natalieminassian Indeed! It seems that as soon as one buys, and seemingly sets everything up, the next day there’s a “new” version on the market. Lol. BTW, I am curious as to your take on OneNote. I tend to favor that over GoodNotes…Perhaps because, I’ve had OneNote since forever, 2010. Everything you can do with GoodNotes can also be done on OneNote. Just wondered…
@@irvinson4026 I tried Onenote once but never liked it on my laptop as much. I prefer Goodnotes on my iPad, but to each their own!

Hi! Have you encountered any problems with the keyboard connection-wise recently? I have had a bad experience with the smart keyboard for my 2nd gen 12.9” ipad pro, them (including my replacement one) breaking after a few months. The smart keyboard folio seems like a good fit for me but I’m afraid it will get broken again

Quick question can you split screen multiple safari browsers on one side and a live zoom call on another? Is office 365 and it’s file system Onedrive compatible with the IPad?
You can only do a split screen with 2 different sides I believe. I use office 365 on my iPad which is free through my University and I haven’t had a problem!

Well I be joining uni soon and I'm contemplating on which decide to pick, I really want ipad cause that's how I like my things to be portable, touchscreen and easy to use but I don't know if laptop is important or not. I want to start with ipad so what do you suggest

Hi there!! Depending on much you use your iPad for 😬 my iPad is 64 Gb and that’s plenty for me! When you say desktop, you mean a huge computer at home or a laptop?
@@natalieminassian A huge computer at home 😁 planning on bringing it to college though. It definitely isn’t portable but I wanted something I could bring to class or work on the go. And then most likely do coding and CAD programs on my desktop.

can you copy and paste things in the split screen? when i use a laptop i always copy something from google and paste it in another app wondering if i can do this on an ipad before i buy one!!
Yes! I have been able to do this!
When you split screen can you use the camera when in a virtual class?
I’m not sure, I’ve never had to do that!
No. That is one of the downfalls about the iPad. I can’t keep a split screen with Microsoft teams with my camera on or the split screen with the blackboard app.

I have the one I use linked in the description box, but it’s personally not my favorite bc I think it wears down my Apple Pencil tip.

This is the screen protector I use. A lot of people have this one and some of they say it doesn’t wear the Apple Pencil tip and some say it does but I just bought extra pencil tops and just change them out!

I didn’t do the cellular option, just the wifi! But if I wanted to use my iPad without having wifi I can just add it to my phone plan with unlimited data! Hope that helps☺️
