FYI, always a good idea to add a jump ring at the top to prevent it from breaking-if only one jump ring it will get caught on things (hair, clothing, etc) and break. I have long hair and find an extra jump ring at the top is a life saver. ❤
Oh I just really enjoy your videos!! You make everything look so easy. And you explain everything so well. It's a pleasure watching you create and share all your extensive knowledge about the Cricut with us!! Thank you so very much!!❣💐❣💐❣💐
Love the tutorial. I would love to add that if you had a jump ring with your hook on the earrings they will move better. I made jewelry for years now and I always had a jump ring with my hook to give it more movement instead of making it stiff. Just my opinion. I wouldn't just add the hook to the earring it makes it really hard to move. To have a free flowing it makes it easier to add the jump ring and then add the hook and you can also move the hook on the earring slightly by holding the needle nose pliers and twisting the hook on the earrings and make it go the way you need it to.
I tried this with faux suede but the blade cu into my mat. I used the string grip mat, faux suede setting and fine point blade one my explorer 2. Are these not the correct settings and material?
I have problems with the faux leather coming off the mat as it is cutting and completely ruining the cut. What can I do? It seems like I get one good pair and the next 5 or a disaster.
Can you do a video carefully showing how to work with SVGs on a Mac Book Pro? I have the most difficult time tryint to download and use them - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and I can never figure out what I did right. I can't possibly be the only person who has problems with this.

I didn't know that you could cut faux leather on the Joy. That's cool! I love the color of your Explore!

I'm so glad!

I do that a lot!
I've tried cutting faux leather on my explore air 2 and never had success so looking forward to trying these tips :)
You can do it!
I liked your video it was easy to follow and clear thank you.
You are welcome!
Is the fine point blade the one that comes with the machine? Or will I have to buy it separate?
It comes with the machine.
Awesome. Easy project. I’m a new subscriber 😇

Those are correct, however, brands of faux leather can vary drastically. You can alter those settings as needed.

I would check how sticky your mat is and how well you pushed you material down. It sounds like it is lifting up.
Thanks for this video Angie. I've found that Cricut doesn't let me ungroup the SVG once I've uploaded it - is that a new change to DS?
It depends on how the SVG was created. You may have to slice them or contour to remove the ones you don't want.
I enjoyed the video but I'm not able to open the svg file for the earrings on my cell phone.
You generally cannot OPEN an SVG. You will want to upload it to Cricut Design Space.
@@AngieHolden How do you do that because I'm using my cell phone.
Open Design Space and click upload then follow the prompts.

I don't have a Macbook! I have a video I did with my iPad. Would that be the same or no?
Did you mirror the heart pair?
You would mirror if the good side is down on the mat and not mirror if it is not.
@@AngieHolden thank you
Ok so the heart will be close to the face or the outside? Sorry to bother you
Oh you could do it either way! I didn't realize what you were asking. You could mirror if you wanted to.
@@AngieHolden thank you.,😊
Do I need to buy dies for the earrings
No dies as I cut these with a Cricut.
What blade are you using?
Find point blade.
I would like to make some post earrings on my Cricut. Have you tried that?
Sure! Just use jewelry glue to attach your posts.
Angie Holden Thanks. Do you have a link to where I can get the posts?
Hmmm...maybe Amazon? I always buy them at Hobby Lobby.
Great video! Thank you
I couldn't find your svg files
Should be at the link in the description.
Love the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was hoping you'd model them!
Well...my secret would be that I don't actually have my ears pierced any more....
where did you get the tools?
The pliers? Online somewhere?
I meant the thing you poked a hole with ans the earring parts
Oh try a Cricut weeding tool!
