Sorry for the delay, I thought I had replied to this. The two main sections are 6’ wide and 4’ deep. The smaller third section is 4’ wide and 5’ deep. The smaller section is a little deeper because it doesn’t have nest boxes in it. Though my new plan is to combine the smaller section with the cock section to add 8 more nest boxes giving me a total of 20 nest boxes for widowhood cocks.
The drop sliding doors? The only thing that keeps them shut is the weight. They are inside of the aviary so something would have to break through the dowels to get into aviary and then raise the drop doors. The aviary sliding top has like a small gate hitch at the top to hold it open, at the bottom when it is closed off it is just the weight of it.

I couldn’t afford to build a loft so I turned My upstairs Bedroom Balcony into My Loft, My Mom isn’t so happy with the idea though.

Wow. One of the loft best set up I’ve watched. I like the aviary and trap door. I want to know what you use to lock the sliding door.

I got this loft off of an older flyer that was retiring from the sport. He built it 30 plus years ago. The expensive part was moving it 50 miles!
Bt y ar thy kept separate
I keep them separate so that they do not make babies year round, I feel that out a lot of stress on the birds to constantly raise babies.
I rather buy a house for birds
