This is the helpful information I needed 1 month ago, I had purchased a pack of large hooks and gang hooks and just used the large hooks and then purchased some frozen Pilchards from the local tackle store, anyway I get to the jetty with my mates and it was so windy and I sat there fixed the lines up on the rods with sinkers and swivels and what not, I get to hooking up the Pilchards and there body was so soft it was near impossible to fit much of them onto the hook. It wasn't working out any good for me at all, now I've watched this video I see why, I found out I needed to use x3 of the gang hooks, so I will do this next time.
You can fish them on the surface or as a sinking bait or on the bottom for many species of fish around the world, Have you tried them yet, great bait mate. Regards Scotty & Paul

We use Ganged hooks when fishing for Tailor as they have sharp teeth and will bite through a snell, also works well for Mackerel in the same way. Better off using needle nose pliers to close the eye, you will get more presicion
Does this guarantee that the hooks will get hooked onto the fish ?
krayzie9 No. Nothing will 100% guarantee a hookup.
