    Such clear and precise instructions. Why can’t they have this on the actual package? Thank you for making this video!

    Just wanna say I love this product, it has worked very well for me. If you fallow the instructions you get a fairly soft (somewhat thin) piece of custom printed fabric. Colors vary ALOT based on your printer so keep that in mind, and always test print on a separate sheet of paper.

    I used a washable fabric glue on minature photos for a snippet roll. I used a paint brush to apply the glue. I made 10 for Christmas presents and they turned out great! I posted some pictures on Pinterest.

    Looking for this kind of video for long time.

      Hi Asha,
      Yes, you can wash your quilt. We recommend gentle cycle with a gentle detergent and low heat drying.

    What printer do you use?

      Hi Sarah,
      You can use any ordinary home ink jet printer. We recommend avoiding photo printers as the inks are dye based as opposed to water based. Do no use with a laser printer that applies toner. HP makes good ink jet printers that typically work well with this product.

    Does it matter if you use a pigment base ink or a dye base ink on pictures that will be in a quilt that is washed?

      Hi D, While we recommend dye based ink, the industry and ink formulations are continually changing. Positive results have come from pigment based inks as well. A lot depends of the manufacturer. If possible, avoid Epson printers as we've found the most negative results from this brand.

    If you don't want to sew the photo on fabric, can you use fabric glue?

      Hi Susan, Yes, you can use fabric glue or fusible web if you prefer not to sew. Use caution when using glue that you don't get any on your image.

    In the video (ruclips.net/video/ToBtlL3proE/видео.html) Jill says if a person wants to wash the fabric after printing use the colorfast treatment... soak in water to get rid of excess ink, if any. She then tells us to use paper towels to get rid of the excess water, then press to dry. She also says that pressing will completely set the colors and allow us to wash the finished project. When I looked up the product on the Internet, on several sites, it does not mention that a person should wash WITHOUT detergent. In the video Jill does not mention that. I purchased a pack of 50 sheets of this product thinking it could be laundered. I would be printing labels to be placed on quilts which are donated to several charities. NOW, what should I do? Needless to say, but I will anyway, I'm a little irritated by this.

      Hi Margie, That is correct, you want to do the colorfast treatment to set the ink to allow for washing. This also removes excess ink that could bleed onto other portions of a quilt when laundering. Most people use this product for keepsake projects such as memory quilts, where it is extremely important that their images maintain there integrity and do not fade. Different brands of ink jet printer inks may also be more susceptible to fading or changing color with different laundry detergents. Because of these variables, we recommend washing only in fabric softener when maintaining the original image is important. You're labels may fade depending on the laundering methods, as do all fabrics over time, but should still be legible.

    Hello I tried printing my photo and the photo sheet did not go through the printer well and it only printed one third of the photo. What do I need to do

    • @JuneTailorInc
      @JuneTailorInc  7 лет назад +2

      Hi Angel, There could be a couple reasons why the fabric sheet did not print completely. The most common is a lack of memory in the printer. Most people don't know this, but printer's as well as computers have an allotted amount of memory. Photos and clip art can take up a lot of memory to print. We recommend shutting down your computer and printer for a good 15 minutes before restarting. Then, print a plain piece of paper before printing on the fabric sheet. If this is still a problem, try setting your printer for card stock or thick paper. The rollers of some printers are more sensitive than others.
