What do you think would would be like with just axle back 5” mufflers? All else stock. A daily driver and want to keep somewhat quiet but stock set up too quiet.
I think it would sound pretty similar. The Forester XT's stock midpipe has a big resonator in it, so I would guess you'd have a similar tone, but a lot quieter. From the other videos I've watched, the 5" muffler axle back is a pretty quiet option. I know some people will swap the Forester XT midpipe for the WRX midpipe (which doesn't have the resonator) along with the 5" mufflers because it is a little louder. Hope this helps!
Good question. The axle back I chose has mufflers so that might quiet the turbo sound a little bit. Also, in this video, the j-pipe and midpipe was all stock, which also may have quieted the turbo sound. I've since upgraded the exhaust to a full turbo-back exhaust and the turbo noise is much louder. I'll have to make a new video soon. Thanks for asking!
I have been waiting for this. Thanks for the video.
No problem, thanks for checking it out!
Is that with stock midpipe?
All those exhausts sound good around town but on a long trip the drone gets to you in a hurry.
The drone really isn't too bad once its warmed up, but yeah it's noticeable on long trips.

Great video, thanks for putting together
NP, thanks for takin a look!
Why it doesnt make the turbo sound, a have an axle back sometimes the exhaust is overpowered by the turbo sound going out from the exhaust
