    Man I had to come back and let you know that you're a God-send for this case, brethren! I sincerely appreciate the comprehensive review. You really took the time out to cover everything in detail. Salute.

    I purchased the TQ-L model based upon your review. It's good. Easy to setup. I'm using a 24mm lens and not getting any shadows from the teleprompter. Rather than using an iPad or tablet, I'm using a 11" remote monitor. The cables necessary for that come with the teleprompter. Thanks for the tip.

    I agree. You need a case for everything. Love it. I totally agree. I video outdoors and putting everything in a CASE, or making a travel, carry bag, is a must. Everything must be bagged except tripods.

    I like the camera adapter and wish I had one like that for my teleprompter. I like how you can adjust the camera's height up and down. I wish I could buy that part.

    I got a big travel (like a sports carry bag) bag, LINED it with heavy duty cardboard. I leave my Teleprompter FULLY assembled all the time. I put it in the bag and travel. Film outdoors, and reduced hassles. It is always assembed.

    is the Axler QRA-501S Quick Release Assembly
    the one you used for the tripod? I bought the teleprompter and the tripod on you video, not sure which quick release you are using

  • @JustinPorterMedia
    @JustinPorterMedia 2 года назад +3

    I couldn’t tell from the video, but could I put my quick release plate on the part that connects to the camera. I’d rather not have my Ursa hanging off the back end like that. I’d rather the heavy part (the camera) be on the tripod with the teleprompter extending over. Is this possible?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  2 года назад +1

      The maximum load capacity is 10KG or 22lbs. Yes, the Ursa is a huuuuge camera. I already put everything away and don’t remember if the rods are removable. They should be by loosening a screw or something… I’ll let you know the next time I have a chance to grab the teleprompter.
      If it is removable, then, I see no problem you using “half” of the setup for the promoter itself and meet it with your camera on its own separate tripod.
      Lastly, since this is listed on Amazon, this product is returnable. You can buy, and if it doesn’t work, return it. 🤷
      Thanks for commenting and for watching!

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  2 года назад

      6:57 you’ll see that there are screws that mount the rods. You could simply remove the back rod leaving plenty of discs for your Ursa on its own tripod. But you can also use another camera you might have too…

    Thanks so much for posting this review. Since you have reviewed them both, let me ask you, is the glass/hood size on the TQ-L same as the GVM TQ LD? Thank you in advance!

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  2 года назад

      For that, I would have to setup both units which is not practical at the moment. As far as I can tell, or remember, I think they are the same size. Not sure.

      @@ArtVideoProductions I have a fallow up question and thank you in advance. Do you know if the TQ-LD has an hdmi input such that I can send my own video signal from my computer?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  2 года назад

      @@jimpiterson4052 no HDMI. It would be a game changer if it did. You can have another monitor installed. Just borrow the VESA mount that came with the original monitor.

      @@ArtVideoProductions Thanks for the idea. I may do that. Now they are running a sale. The Ipad one for $400 and this one for $600. I was thinking of then getting the ipad version and "hack it" to be able to use my monitor but it is in back order for a few weeks. Your idea of using the Vesa from the monitor that comes with the GVM TQ-LD is a good one.

    Where do you get the GVM foam for the case?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  7 месяцев назад

      The link (bag) is in the description. The FOAM comes with the package. At least, when this video was made, the box came with this foam. Should still come with it UNLESS the include a GVM case in the package, which a case wasn’t available at that time.

    I see the doctor's eyes going back and forth. I wish there was a way to avoid that being so obvious. I want to buy a teleprompter, but not if I'm going to look that obvious. Any tips?

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Год назад +1

      If you put any teleprompter on the subjects “face”, obviously, you’d have the eyes behaving this way. The lens’s focal length is also important. Place the teleprompter NO CLOSER than 10 feet / 3 meters away from the talent. Font size, select large ones. Lens: no smaller than 50mm. But the DISTANCE is the most important fact. There will be no eye movement.
      lastly, instruct the talent to FEEL the text, not just reading, so they will look and sound like they’re not reading. Another thing they must do is to move their head occasionally, while the eye is focused on the teleprompter. Don’t let your talent reading and speaking totally stationary looking like a paraplegic.
