In the new season, Din Djarin, once a lone bounty hunter, has been reunited with Grogu, a child of Yoda’s species whom he rescued and subsequently turned over to Luke Skywalker at the end of Season 2. As the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history, the Mandalorian crosses paths with old allies and makes new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

I KNOW WHO SAVED GROGU FROM THE JEDI TEMPLE BUT I'M NOT GONNA SPOIL IT
"Bad baby, you'a bad baby!!" So funny!! Great reaction as always!
Seeing the shadow of the Purgill in the hyperspace tunnel was a reminder that we’re inching closer to “Ahsoka”. Filoni knows what he’s doing, and I love it.
One of my favorite moments in Star Wars such a nice touch on what’s coming soon 😎
In the words of the great Commissioner Gordon: Filoni is the hero we need, but not the one we deserve.
If I saw a shadowy figure of Ezra riding one I would have lost my ever loving mind. I need Ashoka now after that
@@TheOnlyHawkeye666 I really believe Ezra is the mentor Grogu needs for his Force training. Luke and Ahsoka are too traditional and have too much baggage with them. Ezra however has been one of the most unorthodox and older padawans we know of + he understands the value and importance of having a family surround you while training in the Force. He'd definitely be like "Oh, so you wanna train AND stay with your dad? I gotchu, I'll come with then"
@@ArtWithSR plus they have displayed similar power sets, so it is a high possibility. Also........Sabine meeting Din is another thing I just thought about and know I need it to happen
Grogu hugging the Anzellan. Like a fiver year old and the terrified family cat
"No squeezie! Bad baby!"
And honestly I just love that shot of Din and Grogu flying upside down, Grogu starting to slide out of Din's chest baldric, and he just puts one hand on Grogu's head and presses him back down into his lap. Such a Dad move.
Din is becoming such a dad and I love it, the "that's using your head" line is such a dad thing to say
@@justinpehala2740 he’s no Will Livingston
@@AL-fl4jk the former governor of New Jersey?
it's taken me three seasons of The Mandalorian (and BoB and Rebels) for it to finally sink in that there's probably symbolism behind Din's chrome armor. Every other Mandalorian we've met has their armor or helmet painted, whether it's for a clan or self-identity (like Sabine or the Fetts). This has been a journey of self-discovery for Din as he searches for an identity of his own. We didn't even learn his true name until the end of Season One (or even Grogu's near the end of Season Two). Din is still a blank slate, and his journey to Mandalore could be where he finally finds himself.
Yes! I was thinking about that last night . Why is he the only Mandalorian with no paint
Hector - "Bo Katan can get it, The Armourer can get it..."🤣 Hector is me
This episode firmly places Greef Karga into the same category as Jabba the Hutt of “boss who can have a Mandalorian lean against something behind them and be ready for action at any moment and must therefore be taken very seriously”.
Facts
Greef upped Jabba’s monkey with drip-droids for his cape.
Well... Yeah. Vane and his buddies were just "background mooks I wipe out on my way to my real job" to Din.
Loving the hands folded pose Din has but you know he's ready to go full throttle.
Man the pure joy you guys had during that entire Anzellen scene was so infectious 😂
I was rolling and now my side hurts!
"Ees boken, ess boken. Bad baby."
“Is this what we sound like when we talk?”
That part with Grogu omg couldn't stop laughing .." bad baby"
So glad Mando is back. This show makes me happy. I love Din and Grogu together. This show is pure fun.
This episode alone had:
A giant monster fight
A Wild West quick draw
A cutaway gag at the end of the Anzellans scene
A pirate saying “Avast”
A space dogfight
and some royal/political intrigue at the end.
Man, I love this show.
If Mandalore is irradiated and poisoned, then a droid is the safest thing to explore it. So it makes sense.
I loved all the little moments with Grogu and Din. Din explaining the navigation system on the ship to Grogu. Din scolding Grogu for playing with the Anzellans. It's these little moments of interaction that make the show. Above all else, the cameos, the action, these two are indeed the heart of it all. Their relationship as father and son has developed so much since the first season its actually amazing. And like you guys said, I didn't realize how much I missed these two until I was watching the episode. I love them so much, and this episode was great! I can't wait for the next one!
@12:45 Grogu hugging from behind had me cracking up 😂
Me too. Haha
Din Djarin has returned loads of Beskar to his group, wields the Dark Saber, just rescued them from a giant crocodile.
Amorer still won't give him a break about taking off his helmet! lol
Kinda to show why they are such a small cult. In the process of initiating 1 member they lost many. They are a dying breed because they are too true to their creed. Bokatan is the opposite she has no creed to live by anymore and has lost her warrior spirit and could potentially be swayed away from an honourable path. Really shows that djinn is basically the grey Jedi equivalent of the mandalorians
It’s almost like a commentary on being too rigid with a belief system .
That's religion for ya... Where sometimes rules are more important than actions.
The Anzellans were my favorite part. That scene encapsulates EVERYTHING I love about star wars. From the physical effects and puppetry to the world building to the comedy. Perfection.
The Grogu moments are just priceless but he’s interaction with the little guy made me cry with laughter 😆 the “bad baby” comment was brilliant. He needs a pet pronto….
11:58 the funniest thing I’ve seen in quite a while. Had me bursting out loud laughing.
The Mando theme never gets old. Love the musical cue as he zooms by the alligator monster for the first time
Just picturing din djarin crawling into the workshop after shooting dowb pirates makes my day
In Jimmy Kimmel's show, guest John Favreau just mentioned that the kid is actually Jimmy's nephew Wesley Kimmel who was already in the Book of Boba Fett as one of the young Tusken Raiders. Give credits to MythBusters' Grant Imahara who built Grogu, unfortunately he died over a couple of years ago. What a great legacy to his credit in making baby Yoda. Also i don't think these guys ever take baths so just imagine Mando taking a selfie with him naked in a pool of water underground with only his helmet on.
First off, space gators are new nightmare fuel. I can totally see Mando wanting IG-11 back. He not only protected Grogu but he trusted him enough to remove his helmet.
The Bobu said “bad baby” after Grogu tried to love on him broke me 😂
This episode reminds me of the vibes of season 1 in the best way. Mostly in the sense that it feels a lot like a video game and this is the collecting side missions part. He picked up the fix IG-11 quest, he accidentally triggered the space pirates quest, and then picked up the fix upset Bo-Katan quest; meanwhile Grogu started the space whales storyline, all while on the way to Mandalore (main story)
You know there's gonna be somebody waiting for him to exit the mines just like after you kill the krayt dragon in KOTOR!
@@jedimaestergandalf9090 honestly i expect someone/something to be living in them. Someone convinced people the surface is poisonous and then hid out among the ruins.
I think he is headed to Tatooine for droid parts for IG-11 and ends up with R5.
The Armorer looks down at Grogu before she says "this is way".
She realized Din isn't doing the fool's quest to visit Mandalore and redemption for himself.
Yes!! I think a lot of viewers might be missing that . Also, she realizes that if Grogu is raised with the Mandalorians he would empower them as he gets older . She’s taking the long view !
@@catherinesanchez1185 oh, I didn’t think about that! Grogu will outlive them all.
dumb question but why do you think dins seeking redemption and doing all of this for grogu?
@@terriflying maybe he's is not. But the armorer clearly sees that it's not just a self interested endeavor. He wants his child to have a chance like Paz Vizla's son in the beginning.
@@terriflying because he's a good father. A big part of the way is selflessness for foundlings. A cult leader would get that first, but Bo in ep 2 starts to remember too.
Honestly the thing I love the most about this show is that I get to enjoy it with you guys after. I love being here and laughing along with the three of you. Also, it's pretty cool that 2 latinos are carrying the Star Wars franchise on their backs, Diego with Andor and Pedro with the Mandalorian.
A little homage to The Expanse when Karga calls the asteroid miners “Belters.” I like it.
"Bad baby" .. love it.
Does anyone else get the feeling that Bo Katan is intentionally sending him into danger? My theory is that she knows tale of a dangerous creature that haunts the specific cave system she directed him to. He will find a mythosaur and, with Grogu's help, tame it and prove himself to be THE new Mandalore. Bonus points if the pirates followed him there to confront him if he survives. MAJOR bonus points if they hired Bo Katan's old crew as muscle and they immediately declare allegiance to him after he and the mythosaur absolutely body their ship/crew, potentially dueling the pirate captain in single combat. Avast ye mateys. We are in for one hell of a season.
Oh I am here for that. 😁😁😁
Bro did you write this season? Because I’d love this to happen lol
@HeroesReforged Can't believe we got the return of the Zillo Beast from The Clone Wars in The Bad Batch & the live-action debut of the Purgill from Rebels in The Mandalorian on the same day! Awesome!
My thoughts this week exactly. Us long term cartoon fans eating good.
My life will not be complete until I get me some little cape robots to follow me around like Carl Weathers has.
when yall said "lets see the next one!" i was like "...lucky bastards!!🙂"
I think this is the only reaction I've watched that didn't assume the intro was a flashback to Din's initiation.
The idea of a Mandalorian Star Tours is fantastic. This episode practically writes the storyline, too. Greef Karga needs to get a shuttle full of tourists leaving the "Jewel of the Outer Rim" past a pirate blockade and hires Din Djarin and Grogu as the escort craft.
I know these three together like this won’t be certain for future episodes but seeing The Three together reacting to the season premiere is pure joy. This Is The Way.
You three were in my dream last night. We went to a movie premiere and just starting shooting the shit in the parking lot after. That’s how much I tune in.
My theory is this: those guys were already drunk BEFORE they came to fight. If they had been sober, they would have recognized the Bescar on Mando (matter of fact they would have recognized a MANDALORIAN!) and backed off. There is no possible way you're walking away from this fight. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣My bet is that they were drunk already.
Mandalorian is my #1 SW show, period! SO GOOD!!!
When I saw that asteroid field dog fight, I was sent back to my childhood when I saw the original trilogy in the theaters. You're right with the music, but that sliver of Grogu having a blast was perfection in the scene for me. I forgot how much I love this show.
What’s funny is at the beginning I was so convinced the youngling mando was din djarin in the past that I was taken aback when the starfighter appeared LOL
Finally! Someone mentions "Lake Placid" with that beginning! lol.
I realized with this episode that Grogu is the perfect visual punchline. He always gets a reaction, the ones that are timed perfectly become iconic
Yes!! I was waiting for your reactions - I was so excited that I stood up at 3am EST watching! Was I the only one thinking that the beginning was a flashback to when Din received the helmet to find out, Oops, you’re wrong! 😂 I think Grogu was so happy to see creatures that were close to his size to hug & squeeze!! 😂😂 Great first episode! 👍🏼😃
Omg my mom thought the same thing with thinking Din was the kid🤣
Scene with the Mandalorians fighting the monster and Grogu looking at purgils in the hyperspace were the highlights for me,great start of the new season :)
Grogu is much faster now....Notice that Din just walks and Grogu follows at Din's Speed!
When the pirates were chasing Din and Grogu, I was so glad he had the souped-up N-1. The razor crest could not have done half the stuff the N-1 did.
Damn you guys make me homesick. Every time I watch you all watching good stuff together it makes me miss my brother and brothers in law and how we talk about shows while we watch. 😢. This channel has been great for years.
This episode alone has so many iconic moments already, this season is going to be great.
They came out of the gate with the suspense and action
Where?
PURRGILLLLLLLLLLSSSSSZZZZ in that light year jump! I can’t wait to see more of them.
Love seeing you guys all together for this reaction!!! And Hector just quickly mentioning who can get in these reactions are my new favorite thing 😂😂😂😂
Not even for the sexy times, you must not take off this Helmet, Mando just couldn’t resist 😂😂
Heyyyyy!! This is Paula from Michigan. Glad to see you all for more Star Wars content. And the droids holding Greef’s cloak was everything:)
Grogu hug 😂😂😂
Greef looking absolute FIRE.
Doesn't Grogu sound like he's saying "For real??" at 6:07? LOL.
Captain Swampy looks a lot like Sigmund the Sea Monster, and next season Grief Carga gets a red crushed velvet pimphat with a huge Varactyl Feather, and he will also now have four Robe-Otts (carrying his cloak).
Thanks, Adam! Thanks, Hector! Thanks, Agustin! 👾 I enjoyed it very much, as y'all did. Plus, we got purrgils... and Anzellans!!! #HeroesReforged #StarWars #TheMandalorian
Notice how Mando knew to hit the belly of the monster!?
Yeah, he learned that from fighting the dragon
Did not realize how much I needed Mandalorians vs. kaiju until I saw it! 🐊😅
On Twitter someone mentioned this was filmed on location in Florida. Fitting.
I LOVE all the practical effects and all of the puppetry.. puppet creatures and robots are just SO star wars to me. I swear I could watch an entire episode of the Anzellan tinkering with IG-11... great episode and so happy to be back in the world. That space battle was awesome too
Love that Mando is back! I do wonder what Bo Katan's story will be this season. And dude! Those Rebels space whales 👀
THAT is how you open a new season!!
I love watching these reactions…especially when you’re all together…u guys are just so much more exited
Quite a few thought the kid was a flashback of Din, and though that never crossed my mind, I still thought it was just some random foundling initiation. The idea of him being Vizla's kid is really interesting though and could be a neat juxtaposition to the Din/Grogu dynamic given how often those two have butted heads. It would recontextualize some of his action in that opening scene as well in a cool way.
DIN IS BACK BABY!!! God I have missed this show!
I love that we are learning more about Mandalorian society, how even though they have been around since before the Jedi they are also incredibly fragmented, and also kind of fickle. They should’ve followed Bo-Katan! She is not only of royal blood but also the best person to lead her people. But unfortunately too many Mandalorians follow different and almost outdated ways. The Children Of The Watch are far too conservative and traditional to look past removing their helmets, no matter the circumstances. For God’s sake he just saved his people from a giant space crocodile and they still shun him. Meanwhile the “regular” Mandalorians are so attached to the myth of a single legendary weapon that even though they know Bo is a worthy leader they still only follow the wielder of the Darksaber. Honestly I think Din should either expand his own clan beyond just him and Grogu or just take up Greef Karga’s offer and be the new marshal of Navarro.
On a brighter note, seeing the Purgill aka hyperspace whales was amazing, and Grogu hugging the Anzellan droid smith was SOOOOO CUUUUUUUUUTE!!! Those guys are literally the only great and original thing to come out of TROS.
"now that's using your head." din making dad jokes? wholeheartedly approve.
The workshop scene is as my favorite ! Hilarious ! Some people think Miggs would make a good Marshall or IG11 if he gets fully fixed up
Nice to see y’all together for this one!
Thanks for this… So good to hang out with you 3 again for Mando reactions!
Liked before watching. This is my favorite reaction channel. Keep up the great work ya'll.
You guys should add Czechxicans to your channels tab!
It feels so great being back in this world with you guys!
SO great to have Mando and Grogu back - and your enthusiasm makes it even better! Loved the Babu Frick scene, the Pergils, the dogfight and a thriving Navarro!
the droidsmiths reminded me of the worms in M.I.B. and i am very much here for it.
I need "No Squeezy!" on a t-shirt 😆
Makes perfect sense. Mando doesn't trust any droids at all. The only one that earned his trust was IG-11
ah yes, my daily dose of serotonin. great reaction! look forwards to the next!
So excited to see you guys back on the Star Wars grind, I'm SO excited. AMAZING premiere, can't wait for the discussions.
I love to see all three of you together. YAY! Great episode!
I thought the 1st scene was a flashback, I thought it was Din's initiation, helmet looked very similar to his. But also it was very cute at that size haha
it took me way too long to realize yall are sitting together run one room 🤣🤣
The closer we get to seeing the Purgill oust side of hyperspace. The closer we are to Ezra. And Thrawn.
The prosthetic work is amazing.
Great start for season 3 ^^
Thank you for your Reactions! So much fun!
Din is a dad...he has dad jokes
Congratulations on the silver plaque. Bravo, gents!
Genndy Tartakovsky would make a killer episode, great callout!
Love these reactions where y'all are in the room together.
Always love seeing your guys reactions to shows I love 💞
He got up in...."Dem Guts!!" 🤣🤣🤣 I missed You Hermanos!!
I was so glad that the show is back. Missed my guys Mando and Grogu. I hope Grogu gets a mini Mando suit by the end of the series lol
He’s still a child and it was obvious that they don’t allow the kiddos to fight .
Bros, this isn't only the first show you did reactions for, I found you via Johnny O'Dell's S2 finale compilation, and I'm sure I'm not the only one!
12:47 That part is going to be a new Funko Pop someday!😅
When Hector said “some day they’ll go back and do every Star Wars 2D thing in 3D”. George Lucas actually intended to theatrically re-release episodes 1 to 6 in 3D. They got as far as episode 1 then the Disney deal happened so the rest never happened.
HECTOR YOU MADE JONATHAN MAJORS CRY
I love how excited you guys are. It just like me when I am watching 🥰
The pirate king ship looks like a scaled down version of The Eclipse.
Disney released a statement that Din and Grogu are now at Galaxy's Edge to celebrate season 3.
