DJI Mini SE is my first drone and I'm super content with it. It has good control, excellent video quality and a rock-solid gimbal. The video quality is so good that I don't even miss that it doesn't come with 4k. The other day I went with some friends to record video on a dry lagoon, and on their very first time flying they shooted some nice footage. I love your videos man, always giving imparcial and honest opinions.
It's a great comparison Marcus and regards to the video quality I'd have to give it to the DJI SE hands down. Thanks for taking the time to make the video and sharing it. Take care
I’d like to see some of the comparison of the Fimi from the day before with white balance set to “Sunny.” I suspect a lot of the odd contrast issues while facing the sun is due to WB freaking out in “Auto.” To my eyes, the Hubsan has the most sophisticated & detailed image quality. I think the Fimi needs extra help with ND filters & WB settings, but is capable of some unique and special images. DJI is so middle of the road and pleasing. Simply gets the job done.
Wow you got some nice fall colors already. Well of the 3 the DJI Mini SE to me has the best quality video. They Hubsan seemed a bit blue and the Fimi was oversaturated. That is not saying they were bad. They all had great pictures but my preference was the Mini SE. That is just where my eye goes. Great video Marcus as always.
Great comparison. Thank you for putting that together. After watching the comparison, wish we could take some features of each drone, and make the perfect drone.
Great comparison video Marcus! It’s good to have options at this level (wi-fi) of drones. In my opinion the mini SE provides the best video and best bang for the buck with best overall performance. DJI has set the bar and the competition appears to be attempting to step up their game which is good for the drone community. Can’t wait to see what Autel brings to the table with their new drones! Thanks for your great content as always!
The color and white balance looked much better on the Fimi in video than they did on your last video. Great testing, and you put a lot work into this video, and I think it will help many potential, buyers out. I saw that neither of these drone are for me. As a Mini 2 owner, I saw nothing here that would make me want it instead of the Mini 2.

Great video, Marcus... with regards to video quality, I'd have to give it to the DJI Mini SE, even at 2.7k. The jello on the Zino Mini Pro is very hard to watch, and the Fimi on auto is way too saturated on Auto.
They all did quite well as far as video quality. Any differences could easily be addressed in post. If these were all the same price I would probably recommend the Mini SE to someone wanting to get their first drone but any of them would work. Good comparison video Marcus!
Watched this on a 4k TV which I'm sure most at this point will do once processed for family entertainment. The Hubsan is slowly getting better but again, Jello flying towards Cosco and just terrible color science. The Fimi.. Much improved but wayyyyyy over saturated. And the DJI... Well its a DJI...say no more !!! . This observation is purely off what I saw and not with any bais. I so want a viable alternative competitor to DJI in the sub 250 market, so now looking to see the Autel nano in action because at the moment the fimi is better than the Hubsan in quality and price point and even the SE is streets ahead even of them both at 2.7k not to mention the Mini 2.. Brilliant video AGAIN Mr C... Cheers ❤️
Thank you so very much @Drone City! I have to agree, the $299 DJI Mini SE blew them both away. That new Autel drone is exciting, and I really look forward to getting one in hand.

Are you able to toggle that on and off? iTs really whats holding me back from getting one at the moment. I cant stand obsticle avoidance, its always finiky, keeps me from flying through areas I want to, I would love to be able to toggle it off.

My total honest opinion on watching all 3 in action. Based on location with local WiFi interference. Best was zino mini pro 👌. Mavic 2nd then fimi. But if you was to take away from buildings and built up areas that zino would be awesome. Definitely going to invest in one. It also has the smoothest and most natural video 4k shooting. Mavic to much colour and fimi really blurry. I think the zino with future updates will beat DJI mini. Just my opinion 😁
Battle of the Mini’s!!! I think the DJI SE was best. Quite liked the look of the other controller though with the phone in the middle. Think I’ll stick with Platypus though 🤣👍🏻
hey friend, with hubsan, when you chose carpet landing, didn't you touch the gimbal? Because it initially dropped correct, but strangely it moved during landing.
Great video comparisons. Although, I definitely would like to see you do a video playing around with the Zino Mini Pro’s manual camera settings. That would be interesting to watch and see if there’s any notable differences there.
Hi Marcus great video as always love your content Just a question im excited to see reviews of the zino mini se I have a feeling it will be the mini drone that will surprise
Does DJI still require that new owners “activate” the drone by agreeing to allow DJI to monitor your use? That’s a deal killer for me. Does Hubsan and Fimi require something similar?
HEY Marcus i wish you wouldve used the Mini 2 for this but that being said i think as far as vid quality i think the SE is the winner but also the fimi footage is awesome the zino to me had to much blue tint what you think friend
A compass cal for each b4 flight would have been fair. The Anafi would have fit well in here too, though we all know it's Wi-Fi is its Achilles heel... But her handling is amazing. I just flew mine tonight. Good comparison though, Marcus!
I had the DJI Mini 2 do something similar. I was flying from a very small pier. When I was landing at some point I lost the signal, I really don't know at what altitude because it was coming down and I had the left stick down, I was looking at the quad and not the screen, if I lost the signal it would seem like the quad was doing what I was inputting . It wasn't until I tried to make some adjustment to the landing that I noticed that something wasn't right. I looked at the screen and it was blank. The quad was determined to land but I had taken off from on top a bench and I didn't want to risk the quad missing and dropping into the Delaware river. I grabbed it out of the air. At that point the quad started to fight me, the blades started to spin at what I think was full speed. It was getting hard to hold onto so I turned the quad over to shut it off. It was a very challenging signal environment but what surprised me was the total loss of signal when the quad was so close.
@@IdahoQuadcopter I now have two that DJI minis that I picked up used. They were great deals at $200 for a Mini SE and a Mavic Mini 4K for $275 with the fly more setup. Enjoy your flying.
Ok, apart from some unusual strange things happening, the image from hubsan looks a but dull, foggy, just like the camera glass had a fingerprint or the protection film still on.. (I just clean the camera glass when I see dirt but most of the times I just check that from times to times at home or if I see image is too foggy) anyway, hubsan camera should obliterate others (according to specs on paper), but it definitely need HDR video mode to compete with the colour saturation from other drones, at least it looks sharp. There was also is some camera shakes that shouldn't be there and it might be hard to get rid of just with firmware updates, but from some tests I've seen on other people testing ("the great explorer"), it seems that a camera filter will help with this (adding a tiny weight to gimbal, and if it really solves this issue it can be an easy solution, I ordered a CPL filter to test on mine). You should do another test in the future with these 3 (with new firmwares) plus the DJI Mini 2 and the ones that are coming out this year (Hubsan Mini SE, Autel, etc) to see the pros and cons of every drone.
Video on the Hubsan reminds me of the Original Zino, Just soft and washed out unless it was a bright day.. I have never owned a Fimi product so all I can say is the Video is better than the Hubsan but not as good as the Mini.... For me the Video quality is more Important than the Quick shot and Gimmicks...... Out of the 3 the DJI still seems to be the best value for your dollar...
The stickers on the arms of my hubsan zino 2+ are wearing off because of the plastic rota blade holder, it ruins the look, I don't suppose they do replacement stickers. It's making it look tatty Can't belive how many soccer pitches you have in that park. Even in England we don't have that many in one area.
Why did you buy the DJI CE? Clearly the Mini 2 is far superior. I fly mine over 5 KM all the time with perfect control. The CE model is nothing more than the DJI Mavic Mini renamed. Get the Mini 2 if you want a perfect drone. It also has 4k 30 and HDR video modes. Just saying brother.
I'm going to hold out for the Autel Nano. Also, I'm saving my pennies for an Autel Dragonfish. I only need 18,000,000 more pennies. OK, maybe I won't be getting a Dragonfish....
Hubsan and Fimi have improved a lot their products, but there is still a lack of quality between these two and DJI. That's why I decided to buy the mini SE. The most important of all is that if Fimi and Hubsan improve their drones we finish having more options. Here in Brazil people like Hubsan and Fimi a lot, but honestly i suspect that's a matter of DJI's price. Nice video, Marcus. Tks Sir.
This the longest video I have seen for a long time. I've said that as complement. I am very biased towards Mine SE. I will left this to your audience why would I. 😆
Great testing, you did a great work here. I'm a Dji Mini 2 and Parrot Anafi owner so this 3 Drones are not for me and i know the Anafi Drone is not under 250 grams but still it's very small and the most capable of all.
@@IdahoQuadcopter Yes i know but because it's older doesn't mean that it doesn't fly great and it has some features that even today drones don't even have. The only downside is of course the WiFi connection. I know Parrot is not in the consumer drone business anymore but just imagine if someday they decide to produce a consumer under 250 grams drone with today's standards, let's say a Anafi Mini it would be awesome!!! Just dreaming, because i really love Parrot Drones especially the Anafi.
Other than battery life, range, video resolution (check the yellow leaves on the tree in the first corner), low light performance, tracking, automated features, waypoint flight and extra features like obstacle detection the Dji Mini Se really blows the others away. Sure, Dji might have over saturated the colors so it looks a bit like a Bestbuy tv left in demo mode but it's still just better. Go Dji!

@@IdahoQuadcopter Marcus please forgive me on my comment after ok i really believe this
dynamic range on the fimi is superior. just watch the clouds. will b mu choice for film. the saturation part is easier to just post away.
The Fimi Mini camera is a vast improvement over previous Fimi cameras.
Saint drone Marcus let me get sum popcorn air2 s army out
Ha! Enjoy that popcorn Mike! 😎
🇧🇷. Mais um excelente conteúdo. Parabéns 👏
Thank you!
Looks like a fire started out there in the distance
When you were flying the DJI SE
I saw that too.
It was the second flight.
A compass cal for each b4 flight would have been fair. The Anafi would have fit well in here too, though we all know it's Wi-Fi is its Achilles heel... But her handling is amazing. I just flew mine tonight. Good comparison though, Marcus!
I did the calibration if the drone asked for it. 👍 Thank you Fox!
Nothing is worse that total loss of stick control.
Oh man, your antenna's angle is completely wrong again. point them down . That way the flat side is facing towards the drone.
Got it. 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter ;-)
Thanks bud
No problem 👍
I choose for dji for eazier to get sparepart
The DJI Mini SE is great!
The Fimi doesn't come close to the other two. The images are fuzzy, stability isn't great and the signal loss thing wow.
I'm a big fan of the DJI Minis. They just work. 👍
@@IdahoQuadcopter I now have two that DJI minis that I picked up used. They were great deals at $200 for a Mini SE and a Mavic Mini 4K for $275 with the fly more setup. Enjoy your flying.
Good video!
Thank you!
Let's hope that Hubsan continues to give us some helpful firmware updates.
Hi Miguel, Where are you finding filters for the Hubsan Mini. It appears this camera needs ND filters to help in bright situations. Thanks
@@hectorz7860 i don't know why my comment is disappearing, I bought a pack of 3 on Ali express
I had the disconnect problem, after I did that same download, before that no problems, I shouldn't of did the firmware update 😅
It worked fine after that issue. It was odd.
nice video
Thank you for the visit!
I agree with you one hundred percent! 👍
I was at Heroes Park today. Youth soccer is really popular here. This park is pretty much dedicated to it.
You need an Autel Nano+ in that group now Marcus =p
I'll have it in hand in a couple of weeks Rod! 😎
@@IdahoQuadcopter Have to test low light for us. It won't be quite 1" but could be close in quality.
@B wayne Annalee I hope it is that good. Would be great for the community.
The DJI mini SE looks SO much better on my 4K tv. That was shocking.
The little Mini SE is so amazing!
I used the DJI Mini SE in this video to emphasize what a value it is. Thank you for watching.
The mini se just way better camera ,even at 2k . Zino mini is blue and hazy the fimi is not as bad but a little hazy and over saturated.
I agree, that's a true statement.
For the video quality, I thought the Hubsan was too dark, the Fimi was too light and looked fake, and the DJI was the best. Just my opinion.
I agree with your assessment James.
dji products are just more polished all around drones. I already have the mini 2. I wouldn't trade it for anything here.
The Mini 2 is amazing. 👍
I'm going to hold out for the Autel Nano. Also, I'm saving my pennies for an Autel Dragonfish. I only need 18,000,000 more pennies. OK, maybe I won't be getting a Dragonfish....
That Nano is going to be a good one! 🙂
Tks Sir.
Thank you. I agree, the Mini SE is the best choice here.
Don't know what you do for a living brother to afford all of these drones, but I want in ! Lol
I'm just an old retired guy on a fixed income. 🤷♂️
@@IdahoQuadcopter sure appreciate your videos my friend. If you ever sell any, please reach out. Thank you!!
i wish i have one of drone
Nice. 👍👍
This the longest video I have seen for a long time. I've said that as complement. I am very biased towards Mine SE. I will left this to your audience why would I. 😆
Thank you very much! I agree. The DJI Mini SE is a real winner.
hubsan win.
Okay.
I still like the dji quality
I hear you! 🙂👍
Great testing, you did a great work here.
I'm a Dji Mini 2 and Parrot Anafi owner so this 3 Drones are not for me and i know the Anafi Drone is not under 250 grams but still it's very small and the most capable of all.
I agree, even though it's a few years old. The Anafi is still a great product! Thank you!
Fix
I was all set to watch.. but an hour video is to long 🤣
Yep, grab a bag of popcorn GM! 😎
@@IdahoQuadcopter 🤣 It would take me 12 hours to render an hour video 🤣
Other than battery life, range, video resolution (check the yellow leaves on the tree in the first corner), low light performance, tracking, automated features, waypoint flight and extra features like obstacle detection the Dji Mini Se really blows the others away. Sure, Dji might have over saturated the colors so it looks a bit like a Bestbuy tv left in demo mode but it's still just better. Go Dji!
I agree, the DJI Mini SE was the one to beat.
The Fimi has the worst video quality and it still has the tilted horizon.
It was windier when I flew the Fimi. 👍
Pls i can need a drone because is my dream i hope you give me a drone for my birthday pls pls because the drone is my dream THANK YOU.😙 I LIVE in the philippines. I watch you. Here in the philippines
Thank you for watching my video.
