Yes! This is such fab news! I am so glad you have been able to book your DAS passes! I hope you have an incredible trip! It is so exciting it is so close now!
I wish I had known this when I went last time! I have adhd and a lot of sensory issues so did struggle when I went. Will definitely be applying for this when I go back! Would definitely like a video about using DAS and genie plus together! 😁
Hi Lucy! The DAS Pass is so helpful for hidden disabilities! I do love that Disney World is doing a great job of helping everyone to have a good time and trying to making the parks as accessible as they can to aid this! I really loved using DAS and Genie+ together so I will definitely make a video all about how they can be used together and the pros and cons!
Thank you so much for this video! Ive got a trip in a few weeks and also suffer from painful Plantar Fasc., and I ALSO felt I didn't qualify for DAS. Now I can apply and feel better about it. Thank you so much!!!
Hi! I hope you have the most amazing trip! It is so exciting it is so close now! The DAS Pass helped so much and being able to rest and take breaks whilst waiting for the rides completely changed my experience!
Thank you so much for watching! The DAS pass at Disney World is the best system of any Disney Park I've been too! It was so easy to use and helped massively! I hope you have the most amazing trip!
I hope this doesn't come off any kind of way (lol?) - just hoping to maybe give some insight for people visiting DLP. The one card has a list of pre-approved conditions and I believe that card entitles you to come back later. The other card (it used to be a green piece of paper!) you can get if you have one of their approved forms of documentation. This can be a PIP/DLA letter, Access card, blue parking badges etc. I think there's about ten different documents they can approve and this one lets you "skip" to the front of the queues. Thank you for another great video, you've quickly become one of my fav channels!
Hi Sarah! Thank you so much for this! This is super helpful information! I definitely don't know much about the Disneyland Paris Access Card but I know when I looked into it is seemed much more strict than at WDW, so it is fab to have your insight! Thank you for all this information!
That's awesome thank you. My son has Autism and qualifies - so, I am considering just getting genie+ in advance too for convenience and using them both together. :) xx
I really liked using Genie+ and DAS together as it just meant you could combine the shorter wait times and being able to do anything that makes your time more comfortable so it was a fab combination! I hope you have an amazing trip! It is so exciting when you have a countdown!
Hi Natalie! You don't need to bring any medical certificates or proof to Disney World, they aren't allowed to ask or view it so instead they just ask what would be difficult about standing in a queue. They were super friendly and helpful which was fab! It is an amazing system that really helps everyone enjoy the parks! I hope you have the most amazing trip! When are you visiting?
Plantar fascitis is the worst! I hope you are all good too! What I found helps a lot is mixing shows in with rides so you get breaks to sit down. When I went to DLP in May I had plantar fascitis and this really helped! I also did stretches and massage each morning and took compression socks with me that I wore at night too. I think DLP being a bit smaller in size helps as you can try and lessen your walking (a tiny bit!). But I definitely think mixing breaks with walking helped me loads at both DLP and WDW!
Thank you so much for this video. I'm due to go next year and this may well prove an excellent part of pain management. Can you tell me if any rides are excluded from DAS? - Also +1 for a video using DAS and Genie + together!
Hi! There were no rides excluded from DAS which was great! The cast member I spoke to during my interview was so friendly and knowledgable and really great at being able to answer any questions you have. It is great that Disney take into account a whole range of hidden disabilities and have this in place to help people enjoy their time in the parks! I will definitely make a video all about using DAS and Genie+ together! It worked so well for me!
Hi Sophie, I was wondering, do you have any experience of using the priority card system at DLP? I am applying for one for my upcoming trip and I would love to know how it is actually using it in the parks. :)
Hi! This is a great question! Unfortunately I do not as DLP only has select disabilities that they allow the pass for so I do not qualify. But there is a fantastic Facebook group called Disabled at Disneyland Paris who have lots and lots of information plus tips and tricks so is a fab page! You can also ask any questions you have and the lovely people on the page will answer! facebook.com/DisabledAtDisney/?locale=en_GB
@@MostMagicalGuides thank you, that's super helpful! ✨ I also found this great video by sam4god about the priority pass specifically and showing how it is used around DLP. Hi sophie Its Dantas from Brazil. Your video was very helpfull. My soon has type1 diabetic and i hope we get the das at dysney and also at universal without big Issues. Doubts: 1- From Wich VPN should i need to use from Brazil tô contact the guess 30 days bafore my trip? 2-is it possible to ride in another attraction while i hope for the other scheduled attraction By DAS? Would you recommend tô use both? Genie+ and DAS ? Or just DAS is enogh to take advantage the Parks?
Hi Dantas! It is so exciting you will be visiting Disney soon! I have heard of lots of people with type 1 diabetes getting the DAS pass which is super helpful! Thank you for your questions! I personally use a VPN called Zenmate. I think any VPN that you prefer to use would be fine! It is absolutely possible to ride another attraction if you have a return time with DAS for a different ride. I loved using Genie+ and DAS at the same time as it meant I could join the lightning lane queue and cut down wait times for lots of rides that would usually have long queue time. So I managed to fit more into my day but also have more rests as I knew what time I had a ride reservation for. And then for the rides that didn't have Genie+ I used DAS for. But I know of lots of people who just use the DAS pass during their trip and they find that works really well for them. Using Genie+ and DAS together just meant I always had low wait times so I didn't need to stand for long periods of time which helped me so much!
You can only have one DAS Pass reservation at a time but you could go on a ride with a short wait time whilst waiting for your reservation time to come around
Hi! Yes this still works the same! You can either apply online via the Disney World website or once you arrive at any of the guest services in the entrance to the parks!
It doesn't impact my ability to walk and get around. It's standing for long periods that is the issue. I've never used a wheelchair for this. I did speak to the cast member during my interview and they did not recommend a wheelchair, instead they approved the DAS pass
People with mobility issues that can be assisted with a wheelchair don't need a DAS pass as all the queues are wheelchair friendly. When having the interview to assess whether the DAS Pass would be suitable the cast member asks what would be difficult about standing in queues and depending on the individual issue a person has the cast member will make a judgement on whether the DAS Pass would be suitable for them.
Definitely aware not all disabilities are visible and I don't think I said this anywhere in the video. Just stated Disney's policy which is anyone who has mobility issues that can be helped with a wheelchair they recommend to do this as all the queues are wheelchair accessible and for all other disabilities that could make queuing difficult you can apply for the DAS pass and then stated my personal experience with the DAS Pass.
Do you have any questions about the DAS Pass system? Would you like a video about what it was like using DAS and Genie+ together?
yes i would love that video

Wouldn't that fall under a mobility issue and they could have told you to use a scooter or something? Just curious

No disrespect but not all disabilities are visible, you cannot assume that someone is not disabled because they have hired a wheelchair
