@@Optinooby least i can do after all your guides bro 👏🏻
@@Optinoobycan you share play the last 2 for me.please 😢
@@Optinoobyplease can you help me with share play I can't do the last 2😢
I essentially typed out your video since I skipped around so much that I got impatient and frustrated. I hope this is helpful to other people who, like me, mess up at totally different parts each attempt lol. I still haven't cleared it, but I know I will because your guides have hard carried me through so much already. You're the best.
Build (0:44):
Gear > Rune Blade, Cetran Bracer, Genji Gloves
Materia row 1 > Magic Focus - Lightning and Wind, HP Absorb - Wind, Enemy Skill, ATB Boost, Phoenix
Materia row 2 > Elemental - Fire and Ice, MP Absorb - Wind, Swiftcast - Wind, Magic Up, First Strike
Weapon Skills > Magic Attack Power +20, ATB Charge Rate Up, Full-Power Magic, Enemy Parts Damage
* Make sure your stats are maxed in the folios. Remove synergy abilities to free up SP.
Notes:
When I say "[x] ATB," build to that number by attacking.
Build ATB for Zack: hold square until he's in the air after 3 strikes, quickly release square, then hold square again for 3 strikes coming down.
Build ATB for Cloud: spam square in Punisher mode, hold square in Prime mode.
Berserk: hold square for 2 hits in Punisher mode, 3 in Prime.
Fury: hold square for 4 hits in Prime mode. I will note when you NEED it to do enough damage. It's otherwise recommended but not required.
If I put a name in parentheses, don't switch, just give them the command.
Assume you need to be QUICK at the start of each round.
Titan (3:10):
1. Spam buttons to enter Tactical Mode ASAP
2. Zack > Stop
3. Cloud > ATB Boost > get close to Titan > Prime Mode > 2 ATB > Wind 3
5. Zack > 1 ATB during Wind > Stop
6. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3
7. Zack > 1 ATB while Cloud casts
8. STAGGERED
9. Zack > Stop
10. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3
Hueyacoatl (4:47):
1. Cloud > dodge > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > 2 ATB > Wind 3
2. Zack > 1 ATB > dodge Supercharged > Stop once Hueyacoatl lands
3. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3
4. Zack > 2 ATB > dash away > Stop > Faith on Cloud
5. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3
Phoenix (6:37):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > Prime Mode > build ATB > Wind 2 on Flan when Phoenix uses Breath of Creation
3. Cloud > Build ATB > Wind 2 on Bomb
4. Cloud > 2 ATB (activate Fury) > Wind 2 on Grandhorn
5. Cloud > ATB Boost > Ice 3
6. Zack > 2 ATB while Cloud casts > Ice 3
7. STAGGERED
8. Cloud > 2 ATB > Ice 3
* Must beat before Staggered ends
Brineborn Demon (9:24):
1. QUICKLY switch to Cloud > dash towards 2 o'clock > ATB boost > Fire 3
2. (Zack) > Stop
3. Cloud > Punisher Mode > Berserk > 2 ATB > Fire 3
4. Zack > 1 ATB
5. Switch to Cloud
6. (Zack) > Faith on Cloud
7. STAGGERED
8. Cloud > Punisher Mode > Berserk > 2 ATB > Fire 3
Kujata (10:50):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > dodge > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > build ATB (block attacks, dodge Ferocious Lion to avoid paralysis, dodge Thunderous Stomp)
3. Cloud > Wind 3 when Kujata tries to summon element
4. Cloud > continue 2 ATB > Wind 3 loop
* If Kujata changes element, use lv 3 spells of the element it's weak to 2x.
Ironclad (14:00):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > circle behind Ironclad's right leg > 2 ATB > Wind 3
* Thunder is more effective, but Wind is better for its speed, healing, and MP neutrality.
* Dash behind and far away when he uses Condemned or Thanatosian Blade.
Alexander (15:53):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > approach one arm > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > Fury > 2 ATB > Thunder 2 on each arm
3. Cloud > get behind Alexander > 2 ATB (Fury) > Wind 3 > repeat
* If he recovers from Staggered, he will recreate his arms. Beat him before that.
* Use R1 + X or O to use Counterfire on projectiles as Cloud.
Mindflayer (17:40):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > Wind 3
* When Zack builds an ATB on his own, cast Manawall on Cloud to be safe.
* Dodge away from Astral Apprehension and Sinister Seizure.
* After Telekinesis, either interrupt Psychotic Break with Wind 3 or hide behind a rock.
Bahamut Arisen (20:30):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > dash away > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > Counterfire (R1 + X or O) on projectiles > 2 ATB
3. Cloud (during Particle Charge) > Wind 2 on each wing > 2 ATB (Fury) > Wind 3
4. Cloud (after Transform) > hold block until Particle Charge > Wind 2 on each wing > 2 ATB (Fury) > Wind 3
5. Cloud > try to stagger with Wind 3 right before Neodrive's attacks begin
6. STAGGERED
7. Cloud > Wind 3 > 1 ATB > ATB Boost > Wind 3
* When he's holding 2 blades, Bahamut will focus on physical attacks.
* OPTIONAL: you can allow Crush Grip to catch Cloud use that time to build ATB on Zack so he can cast Manawall and Haste on Cloud.
* Make sure Faith is always up on Cloud.
Odin (24:31):
1. Zack > Faith on Cloud
2. Cloud > dodge away > ATB Boost > Prime Mode > 2 ATB > Wind 3
3. (Zack) > Manawall on Cloud
4. Cloud (during Sleipnir's Furor) > dodge away and then back in > Prime Mode > 2 ATB (earned mostly by blocking) > Wind 3 > 2 ATB > Wind 3 > build ATB until staggered
5. STAGGERED
6. Cloud > Wind 3 > 2 ATB > Wind 3
7. (Zack) > Manawall on Cloud when he builds up ATB
8. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3 > 2 ATB > Wind 3
9. Zack (during Spatial Distortion) > attack until Temporal Imprisonment
10. Cloud > 2 ATB > Wind 3
* Try to complete step 4 before Pressured wears off.
* Dash away during Ring of Helheim.
* The only attack that won't be interrupted by Reprisal is a lv 3 spell.
GOOD LUCK!!
ETA: I DID IT within an hour or two of posting this hell yeah
Dawg you aren’t gonna believe this. But I was having SEVERE trouble with this. More so than rulers ngl. And I followed BOTH optinoob’s guides. Yet this one I couldn’t crack.
But using your comment with the strategy spelled out for me to read along as I played……..I did it after 3 more attempts. This comment is the reason I’m getting platinum. THANK YOU!!
(And to you too Optinoob, if you’re reading this!!)
Огромное спасибо!!
Your comment save me dude! For a inexplicable reason, read instead of watching the vídeo work better for me. One thing or two got out of control, but i managed to get past it. Thanks optinoob and your comment.
THANK YOU FOR THISSSSS
Odin kept kicking my ASS right at the finish line, but this comment along with the video really helped me through it, so thank you thank you
An extra tip you can add for the odin fight is to use a limit to avoid imprisonment. Otherwise, your typed out summary helped me with the other 9 fights.
This challenge utterly BROKE me, if it wasn't for you posting these, I'd still be stuck on the first Brutal challenge. You have been an absolute saviour in helping a lot of people obtain platinum and I am one of those - finally after 179 hours and literal tears.
Seriously. Thank you so much Opti - may your steel foreskin guide you
I never comment on videos. This man's guides are so f****n' amazing. THANK YOU! I've platinumed games like Demon's Souls (PS3 & PS5), Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring. I've beaten every boss in the Soulsborne series, and I can unequivocally say I would NOT have be able to beat these challenges as quickly as I did without your guides, Opti.
That being said these guides will give you the HOW of the challenges, but you have to fabricate the WHO. Pausing the game and following the guide got me through to about 15% on Odin on my first run. It then took me another 8 hours of retrying to finally beat it.
1) Be patient with yourself. Understand it will take time. Don't give up, but give yourself a break if you find yourself getting worse (it will happen and its okay.)
2) Learn and commit the first 9 fights to memory as soon as you can. It will help you with subsequent retries.
3) Use the Odin (Full Might) 1v1 with Cloud Combat Sim to practice the final phase without having to spend 11 mins to get there (and learn things like when Odin does Spatial Distortion, if there is cyberpunk effects on the floor, then get to the other side of the wall before it becomes impermeable or else you will take Damage over Time.)
4) Commit hard to your Prime Mode attack cycles and learn what damage you can take (that you will then heal up with your Aeroga), and what attacks you can afford to Prime Mode block-counter (underrated). Also, what attacks to quickly dodge out of (anything with a "/!\", Sleipnir's Furor, Charge).
5) YOU. GOT. THIS.
Opti gave you the map, but you have to condition yourself to get over the terrain. It will take time. It will be rewarding when you get there, and you WILL get there. You got this. Congratulations when you do, because you have earned it.
Well said mate ;)
Thank you I needed to hear this! I just finished to be a hero with optinoobs guide. And they got me through a few hard mode story fights. Just need this one to finally platinum it. Could’ve never done it without these guides.
Souls plats are easy. Try Ninja Gaiden 💀
Congrats to everyone who platinumed this game.
His guides have helped me beat ruler of the outer worlds plus the other legendary ones. Currently on this one with Zack.
Defeated in 2024, came back in 2025 to get it!
Thanks so much Opti. Your guides gave me motivation and definitely got me good at this game. I join the many people here in thanking you!
Spend 15 minutes getting to Odin, die within 10 seconds of fighting Odin
This is ridiculous.
Odin is the goat also bahamut
lol just died the 10th time to Odin. This challenge is brutal, yet I’m enjoying the torture hope I beat it today!
@@nathanprentiss7578 u can do it , sephirot is very hard .
same here. then I went to fight just him (full power) and only with Cloud to learn how to block and dodge his attacks (blocking is better since it pressures him much faster in primal mode). I spent 10 minutes doing this and beat him the first time I fought him in Bonds of Friendship :D
A few days ago, I thought obtaining the platinum trophy was absolutely out of my reach, and tonight, I’ve just obtained it. And all thanks to you! Thank you for helping me appreciate that game even more !
How did you get through some of those tough musclehead hard fights? Did you follow a guide or just brute force through them?
@@mspionage1743 if you aren’t above it, replay chapter 12 or 13 on normal or even easy, the advanced 2 and 6 person bouts at the gold saucer don’t automatically switch to hard mode like the brutal/legendary fights do
"Yeah, me and Zack are no longer friends after this. I've had enough" 🤣
Haha I loved that line
I’m literally crying right now right after beating bonds of friendship. Had trouble with it yesterday, always dying either on bahaumut or Odin. Woke up this morning and beat it on the first try after my cup of coffee. Thanks Optinoob!
@@krystalstardust1457 Sometimes just needs a good nights rest for ya brain to catch up and adapt when you've been at it nonstop ;)
After a 172 hours of despair I became the planet's hope. Without your guides, I would have to dwell in despair and give up. Thankss🎉
This is the last trial I need to get the trophy. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve tried this - but thanks to this guide, I can get to round 9 (Bahamut) most of the time. Occasionally I can make it to round 10 (Odin), and on my last run I got Odin down to 30% health.
Slow but steady progress - hopefully one day soon I’ll be able to crack it
Thanks so much for this guide, it has been invaluable so far!
EDIT: And with that - after about 20 hours of dedication - it’s finally done! It was a clutch victory against Odin (thanks to Zack’s limit break at the last second before death). Now on to Temple of the Ancients, and the Platinum - full steam ahead!
Did you get it in the end? I am pretty much the same; most times I can get to Odin but then he gets me. Even when he casts spatial distortion, for some reason he doesn't go on to cast the temporal spell. What's going on? Which of his abilities other than the one mentioned in the video can't be blocked in prime mode please?
Got all the way to Odin on the first try following this guide, lost to him and then got stuck on Titan and Hueyacoatl for a half dozen tries, then got back to Odin on the next try and beat him. Thank you for taking the time not only to explain what you're doing, but also why you're doing it and when -- truly makes it easy.
I did it, after TEN HOURS of trying I finally fucking did it last night. Opti, I'm telling you, I wanted to cry tears of joy. In over ten years of trophy hunting, I've never felt such agony trying to obtain Platinum - Bonds of Friendship is easily one of the hardest challenges I've ever conquered as a gamer. I can't even take all the credit though because I used your amazing guide, but even with that it was still excruciatingly difficult.
I cannot thank you enough for these outstanding guides, man. I did the first five Brutal challenges with my own build but I categorically refused to attempt Ruler of the Outer Worlds and the Legendary Bouts without a proper guide. Without you, I definitely would've given up on this Platinum, so I just subscribed to your Patreon to show my support.
Thanks buddy, appreciate that ;)
Congrats. Any tips ? To help us do his strategy even if we f ed up some steps, what do u think helped u the most in ur own experience with his strategy
@@aali4726 Thanks. Yes I do have a couple tips actually:
1. When Odin casts Spatial Distortion, make sure you're in the middle of the arena so that you can quickly move over to the non-electrifying side with your partner. Also, when he gets close to about a quarter health, switch to Zack because he's about to cast Temporal Imprisonment and start building up ATB to cast Manawall on Cloud, Healing, Haste, etc. If all those effects are already applied just try to damage and pressure him as much as possible before he subdues Zack. I cast Fira a couple times and surprisingly that pressured him quite a bit. Doing this will also take his attention off Cloud.
2. To speed things up with the Mindflayer, I recommend doing the synergy ability to pressure him. Obviously, all you gotta do is get to Synergy Level 3 which will happen naturally with Cloud but you gotta make sure to cast two additional ATB actions with Zack; whenever Cloud is casting Aeroga, simply switch to Zack to quickly build up one ATB. I suggest Manawall then Haste on Cloud. Now when he goes to do his next Psychotic Break, use the synergy ability to cancel the attack and pressure him - this'll speed up things up a lot.
Oh thanks alot man for the tips I'm excited to try ur way thanks alot n thanks for ur time n ur reply
I destroyed both of Alexander's arms right away and when I did I ran behind him like you did and he just did a 180° turn and shot me with something and killed me.....
I made cliff notes that helped me out so I didn't have to keep rewatching specific parts of the video. Thank you opti!!

THANK YOU for doing this! I also work much faster off of notes, and you saved me a ton of effort! You helped me get the win just now just as much as Opti did.
This just helped me out today. I had been determined to not watch guides really.
After 20 titan fights, and 10 bahamut fights or so, I ended up here. The video helped a lot, but I still had trouble. These notes and my notes added to them got me to Odin finally.
I was really worried about Odin after all I read, but I absolutely destroyed him first try. I don't know how much was luck but I'll take it.
Thanks guys.
thank you so much, that simple act that makes all difference
Thank you both so much.❤
Took me 2 days and many hair roots being pulled out, but i finally beat odin, using a limit to evade imprisonment since zack was already dead. Your guides are a life and sanity saver.
Love when I have to restart the whole gauntlet because Zack randomly starts with a little less ATB than usual
HAHAHAHAH YES
Dude you are legend. Thanks so much for your help. You have no idea how many times I’ve heard you say “straight away, cast faith. Yes, faith.”
Lol, sorry for sounding like a parrot
It's too bad we can't use steel foreskin on this fight
Just finished these last two legendary bouts last night using almost exactly the same strat. Found another youtuber doing the same build. However, they didn't use Stop on most of the enemies that were susceptible to it.
Anyways, I used your guides for most of the solo fights and I just wanted to say thanks. Also, I love how you explain your reasonings behind certain builds and go over the encounters step-by-step. Keep up the good work!
Unreal guide. This took me so long and was so brutal I told my mates it wasn't worth it... This strat makes it look 100x easier!
Got it on my first try - thanks for all your great guides on this game
appreciate that, thank you ;)
Like everyone else here I just want to thank you so much for the time and effort you put into these videos as without out them there is no way I would have got the Platinum! It is currently 01:28 in the morning and after a week of trying I have FINALLY beaten Odin! Just a couple of notes for any one who is struggling:
1) I replaced the Enemy Skill Materia with a HP PLUS Materia and by doing this it saved my ass on more than one occasion!
2) Apart from the first Fight against Titan do NOT spam the back buttons to open the Menu. This resulted more than once for me with Zacks first ATB bar not quite filling causing a delay which caused havoc on fights such as Alexander.
3) Do not give in! Just take breaks from it every now and again to relieve the stress levels!
4) Do not expect the fights to go exactly like they did in the videos. Some are very RNG based! Odin was kicking my ass all over the place but on the run I defeated him I did it even quicker than in the video!
5) All the fights are about trying to defeat the boss as quick as possible so you need to be aggressive else alot of them 'evolve' and start kicking your ass.
6) Remember that Aero Magic also heals you so even if it is not the time to do the magic attack use it if you are low on energy.
7) Bahmut - Block all his attacks, do not attack him you will build ATB from blocking and only use your magic when his 2 wings come out...disable them and try and get a level 3 aero on the body.
8) Odin - Stay in Prime mode and go at him from the start. Watch for when a move name comes above his head and then block. Blocking raises your ATB and his stagger. Use Level 3 Aero as soon as it becomes available.
9) When Cloud is casting magic switch to Zak and have a few cheeky hits against the enemy. This will build his ATB bar and allow him to use Cure and Barrier magic. Sometimes I would leave Zak with 2 full ATBS as a precaution so he could cast RAISE, Cure or Barrier Magic in a split second.
Good Luck all And thanks again Optinoob!
Putting Odin at the end of this challenge was absolutely brutal. I think someone hurt Nomura and he's taking it out on us. Thanks a bunch for helping me get through it and all the other brutal/legendary stuff.
Square did when they rejected Versus XIII and he's been taking it out on us since
The game director is Hamaguchi tho.
I blame Miyazaki setting the difficulty standard for RPGs
Time for all of us to Get Good.
I hate Odin so much. Most of the others I can get through with a bit of practice but Odin is just so incredibly frustrating.
@@Rhys-Lightning he also took it personal on us in kingdom hearts 3 on the remind dlc. Those fights are also brutal.
I 1 shot this pausing before each round and going step by step, these guides are absolutely incredible
I’ve actually already completed this and Sephiroth, but I was still waiting for you to drop this guide. I’m so glad you even mentioned Weapon Level 9 lol, cause everyones posting there guides at level 10 and not mentioning it.
You’re the king of this game lol. Everyone on RUclips wants to put “easy” on their guides, but your guides are comprehensive and truly the only easy guides, even the worst player can complete a challenge if they followed your guides. You earned the subscribe and likes.
Amazing guides always Optinoob 10/10
There is a weapon level 10?? So 9 isnt even the max level???
Yea, 'Easy' is clickbaited a lot nowadays, same with the term 'Walkthrough' which are basically Playthroughs not walk
@@Optinooby Oh, I thought you could get your weapon to 10! If it’s only 9 that makes sense then. I’m still working on my hard mode play through because of work, so I’m still at 8. 9 gives a significant damage boost to weapons tho when I look at the “Next level Upgrade”
100% agree! very clickbaity. Either way, we all know you’re always going to come through with amazing guides! Hope you blow up, you deserve it.
Agreed, beat this last night with another guide but giving you a like and comment cause your guides got me through every other brutal/legendary fight!
@@Optinooby Level 9 is max Weapon Level and Party Level 10 :)
Yeah a lot of the guides is just playthrough, Opti's are goated.
There is NO better guide for a beginner play through. There just isn't. this build (which I saw another creator use) is OP for this bout and your tips are just 100/10 mate. A tip I have for anyone doing Odin in this bout is do not panic at any point. I did that and it cost me my first two tries. Calm and collected and doing what you do in this guide got me through. Bravo, mate. Bravo.
Finally beat this to get the platinum. I can’t thank you enough for all you videos that got me here. After a week of trying this I finally got it. Before round 9 and 10 I paused and took 5 minutes to watch your fight and relax. Really helped.
I finally did it man, I got my platinum. Your guides got me through every one of these challenges. Never seen a better guide series, thank you for all you did, I couldn’t have done it without yah!
Bahamut always defeat me any tip ?
I would never have gotten through these challenges without your videos. Thank you so much for putting your time into sharing all of this!
Finally managed to beat this challenge after many many hours stuck on Odin. Many times when I’d see Odin only having a little bit of health I’d keep rushing him instead of staying calm and kept dying lol. Thanks very much for this awesome guide.
Finally beat this after months of on and off attempts. After 7 hours of trying 2 days straight and 5 attempts at Odin, I have conquered the insurmountable. I would rewatch your Odin section at each attempt to bring up my confidence. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Hey man, 2 or 3 weeks ago i finally got my platinum after more than 300 times retrying the bonds of friendship challenge... In the end it was cloud vs odin , both very little health left, he was almost staggered and right before he got staggered he did a couple of deadly attacks , i dont know how i dodged all that crazy shit but when i defeated him i literally jumped around and celebrated like i have scored the winning goal in the champions leaugue.
I totally forgot to thank you properly for all your guids , because i was about to give up after the first legendary bout with cloud against the white terror i think. No other guide was usefull for me and think i speak for lots of people now , your guides are legend.
After bonds friendship, i had one more to do: to be a hero, i followed every instruction you mentioned as precise as i could and i fucking won afrer first try.
After that i only had to destroy some boxes with cait sith of course before i got my platinum. Finally something i could achieve without any guide hahah thanks a lot man !! You rock
I have the platinum now and it’s largely in thanks to these amazing videos. I appreciate how thorough each one I’ve watched has been for each of these VR missions.
I was able to beat this one and the Sephiroth one in 2 tries each with these builds. I made it to Odin both of my failed attempts and he rofl stomped me but the second try I played more aggressively and it was a breeze. Thanks a ton man keep up the great content I’ll definitely be watching more videos if you cover a game I’m playing.
Bro, I was really about to give up on the platinum trophy because of this challenge. I even switched to playing other games. But then I stumbled upon your video, and it reignited my hope. Although it took quite a bit of time, I finally did it! I just got the platinum trophy! Thank you so much, your tutorial was incredibly detailed and effective!
You are a golden God. These guides literally saved me so many hours of trial and error. Not ashamed that I used them. Awesome video my man; you have the honour of a true SOLDIER.
Got my plat today, thanks so much!
I can't believe it, I finally got my platinum trophy after about 240 hours...all thanks to your guides!! I wouldnt have been able to platinum this game without your super detailed guides! Thank you so much for your dedication to the FF community!!
Wow bro, what an excellent way of showing how the build works. I was struggling with this challenge for 2 days with other guides. And did it first try with your vid.. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥🔥
Harder than any fromsoftware game
Also not balanced what so ever, so there's that
@@rijusnar1994 And the tutorials suck! You cannot properly train with Zack or Sephiroth, this game was made by assholes.
@@vedomedo Breaking the 9999 limit should be an ability not an Accessory!
@@kingkazma3246 AGREED!!! I remember when reaching level 99 in a Final Fantasy game made you OP and you could breeze through any challenge with one hit kills. That was your reward for level grinding dozens of hours. This is a pain even at level 70 with mastered materia across the board!
@@alecaquino4306 Ah, the good ol days, when you could sit down and play a game, no Trophies, no DLC and no BS.
When Odin imprisons one of your characters, you can get out of it by using a synergy ability! I've literally just scraped by and managed to beat Odin first attempt! Great guide, just one more challenge to go!
If you limit break is up you can use your limit break just in case you have cloud selected when he does temporal imprisonment. I'm sure synergy ability will work too but I know limit break for sure will resit the stop.
You are the only reason that I will be able to achieve this platinum. THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK!!
You are a LEGEND, sir!!! It took me about 15 or so attempts, but your guides are now the only ones I look for! Absolutely brilliant. Well-explained. And definitely doable! Keep up the great work, Optinoob! Now on to “To Be a Hero!”
I write this comment as tears of joy stream down my face (figuratively). I've finally done it!!!!
Thank you Opti for this guide! It's done finally!! I can't believe it. Easily the worst bout ever and even worse than Rulers! I can't even say how long it's taken me to get here!
I will NEVER do this challenge again! Weiss was a cakewalk compared to this! Never ever ever again will I even attempt this challenge. I never wanna see Zack's face again.
Thank you again Opti!! You're the man!!
Sephiroth can wait. I need a drink lol
Looking forward to trying this one out, you make it look so easy! Really appreciate you breaking down the builds and strats while going through each round, most RUclipsrs just smash out the challenge and do a basic breakdown! Keep up the good work man 👍
Hey I don’t normally comment but your guides on rebirth have been absolutely phenomenal, some of the best guides in general I’ve ever seen. I can tell the time you put into them as I’ve seen others use similar strategies to the ones you present but yours are always more precise and foolproof no doubt from your knowledge of the game as well as the many attempts you’ve done off camera. Hope your channel explodes my friend, you deserve it!
Appreciate you taking the time to comment mate ;)
@@Optinoobyit's true, your videos are literally the best I've seen. The fight methods, precise narrating, nothing else like it from what I've found and watched. You definitely deserve more likes and subscribers
Thank you so much bro, this helped me a lot! I've always heard that this is the hardest challenge in the entire game, but following your guide it actually took me 3 attempts!
Just here to say THANK YOU. I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I just finished all the VR missions, and I have you to thank you for getting me through them. I decided to comment on this video because Bonds of Friendship was by far the most difficult challenge. When I finally beat it, it was like a dream, and I somehow managed to whoop Odin so hard he didn't even have time to cast Spacial Distortion before he was beat! It was surreal. For anyone struggling, playing him solo with Cloud in the VR summon at full strength helps tremendously, just to get used to what you're dealing with. .. To Be A Hero only took me two tries, but I'll admit I cheesed a bit with Odin - as you can spam circle triangle with Sephiroth and cause damage without getting hit, and build up limit. So pretty much did that for majority of the fight and switched to Cloud when an opportunity presented itself for some nice wind level 3 damage. But thank you for these videos. I'm not even here for platinum, I just wanted to collect everything for Johnny's Inn. You are great at explaining what to do even for those of us that aren't hard core gamers. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I want to say a HUGE thank you for helping me with this platinum. I watched all of your brutal and legendary combat simulator guides and it helped me so much. I wouldn’t have done it with you, you’re the man!! THANK YOU
Optinoob, i did it buddy! after trying other builds I cycled back to yours four days ago... Got all the way to Odin and paused it. I left it there all week, and tonight decided to give it one more go. After following the first couple steps of your vid, I branched out and casted Reraise on Cloud and Zack, here is the kicker though, NONE OF US DIED! I had stopped using Magical Focus thinking that the loss in damage would not be too great, but putting it back on turned out to be the winning formula!!! Now I finally get to do the Sephiroth/Cloud legendary bout. Im so stoked. Stuck on that for over a month, feels like a great weight has been lifted!
EDIT: I forgot to mention faith, I always cast something else instead, like haste or manawall, this time I casted faith and Odin could not keep up with the damage. Never straying from your strategies again. Though I only have one left, you have helped me get this platinum trophy immensely.
@@Ir1shman well done mate ;)
Took a break for a month after hard mode & came back on the 7th month and finally got the platinum today! Couldnt have done it without you. Cheers mate!
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth plat complete on the 7th! MONTH!! Feels good!
Howwwwww it’s impossible 😢
Just wanted to give a huge thank you to you dude. I loved this game and if it weren’t for me platinuming Remake back in 2020 I wouldn’t have bother but man did your guides make things a breeze. I really only struggled with this one and The Seventh Seal. You’re a legend!
Just coming back to this video at the end of 2024 to say OPTINOOB IS THE GOAT. Absolute masterclass in excellence for modern gaming 🏆 Legend.
Man I never thought to stop Titan right from the get go! That’s brilliant.
I don’t normally comment on videos but all your strats have kept me sane trying to complete all the brutal/legendary bouts. You have earned my sub and I thank you!!!
Again you knocked it out of the park and saved me so much miserable frustration. I can’t thank you enough for these guides man, I’m a bit older now and don’t have as much time to beat my head against a wall so I gotta say I truly appreciate all your effort and the time it took to make this
Owe my plat to you, you have my eternal gratitude 🙏
Always a pleasure ;).
Even using your awesome guide, I just managed to beat this beast!! My hands are literally shaking… Took me about 20 or so tries and a total of three days (can only play around 2-3 hours per day) but I did it! Now I’ve got the final legendary bout and the final chapter on hard mode and it’s platinum city!!
I just came here to subscribe and say THANK YOU FOR USING TACTICAL in these guide videos. The amount of content creators using the term "Guide" in their titles who input actions so quickly I have to slow down the video is beyond annoying. Thank you!
My dude, you are an absolute legend. Yes, this js intimidating as hell and it takes a coupe of tries, but believe it or not, it took me way loger to do brutal challenges 4 and 5. Thank you!!!
I just finished the brutal challenges with your videos you got yourself a sub thanks for your guidance
was a nice journey, don’t have the mental to keep restarting to get to the last boss but cheers to those who complete this!
i said that too, but keep in mind we did too many other bullsh** challenges to let some crap like this keep us from getting platnium
@@ironknuckb I ended up completing it earlier yesterday after editing the class a little bit, only the sephiroth fight left but i still thank you for the encouragement 🤝
@@newbalance5250 I DID complete the sephiroth one... i still have yet to complete the zack one (on try 80), the sephiroth one is alot easier, jus know how to do sephiroths dash n spam tech (theres videos on that) but i cant do the zack one,, these monsters are too dayum OP and zacks such a lil b**** he spends more time on his back than meek mill at a p diddy meeting, I have a good strategy but im too busy keeping zacks p** a** alive
@@ironknuckb did you predict Diddy? 😅or is that news already 9 months old? It doesnt seem like its been that long.
Got my plat today mate, absolutely couldn't have done it without your guides. SUPER DUPER THANKS you're a freaking legend. Keep doing what you're doing bro!
Yeaaaah it’s finally my turn to say thank you ! Your videos are amazing, everything is well explained. I would never have platinum the game without them so thank you so much !!
And for everyone who are watching this video and struggling, don’t give up ! I know it can be frustrating but try again after some rest, you can do it !
After about 40 attempts, I did it! Your strategy was the best I've seen. But I think some bosses have a lot of RNG
I have no issues with the difficulty level being high. It’s having to go through 9 rounds to reach the final round again and again that ruins it. Very, very poorly designed.
This and then also being forced to watch all of those "in-fight cutscenes" like Phoenix reviving Kujata.
To be fair, they mostly happen in the campaign (the final fight with Sephiroth is ridiculous with these), but still, come the fuck on Square, I don't need to watch the same animations over and over and over.
Agreeddd
that is what MAKES the difficulty high though so youre kinda contradicting yourself. If it was a single battle or had checkpoints after each fight then it would just be a single battle and it wouldnt have anywhere near the same level of difficulty. The whole point and the difficulty comes from the number of rounds.
edit: also, as mentioned in the video, there are other places in the game where you can fight any of these enemies in a single fight so if specific enemies are killing you every time then its possible and probably a good idea to go do that boss and only that boss until you understand it better. That's also why the rounds are the entire point, if it was just a single fight we already have those in the game elsewhere so it would be redundant.
@@SpydersBytedisagree! It’s bad design cuz u can’t save or edit your setup once u enter the challenge. You should be able to save after beating one opponent but lose the save once u continue like a checkpoint not really a saved game cuz if u want to take a break u have to pause sometimes people don’t have time to make this challenges they are too long.
@@batiseven I mean... the run took Opti less than 12 minutes, if you cant side aside 15 minutes to play then this probably isnt the game for you. Also its entirely possible to just use pause mid-battle and put the ps5 to sleep and you essentially have your checkpoint.
As far as editing setup goes, well thats just part of the challenge. Youre supposed to make a build that can defeat all 10 of these bosses, thats what makes it difficult, if you could tailor your build every single round it would be waayyyy easier. It seems like a lot of people miss the fact that these are the brutal, beyond-end-game challenges. They arent required to finish the game so if theyre painful for you then just dont do them, its not going to affect your experience of the game or the story.
Just completed this thanks this to this guide. Few key takeaways for those who still might be struggling:
1. Make sure materia is maxed so that you can 1 shot alexanders arms and bahamuts wings. Furthermore, max magic focus level 5 is definitely worth it. I suggest doing the second battle in the gold saucer battle square to farm exp on the thugs to max it out. It'll kill these bosses almost twice as fast compared to a level 3 magic focus.
2. The only real challenge is bahamut and odin. Make sure to rewatch the boss fights for those guys in this video at least 3 times to fully understand them.
3. For odin, deal as much damage as humanly possible early on, that way if zach faints in the later half of the fight he is more than likely only going to be 1 or 2 aerogas away from death after staggering him.
Keep on trying, this is the last hurdle. Sephiroth and Cloud combat simulator is without a doubt 10x easier than this one, so if you can do this one the other one is going to be a piece of cake.
Literally could not have gotten plat on this game without you. Thanks a ton!
Thank you! I got stuck at Gi Nattak and couldn't do Rulers of the Outer World. With your guides i completed the whole game. I just beat this challenge and got the Platinum. I couldn't have done it without you. TYSM
The moment we’ve been waiting for 🥳
Everything went perfectly, but Odin felt very RNG heavy but finally beat him using this strat! Thank you!
why is odin being rng? he active zanten too early? i thought he only active that skill if he hit the player certain amount of times?
@@aidiruikkiduring the normal fight I've seen his Zantetsukan go off VERY early, after only 2 or 3 hits. But this challenge one never did that for me. Parrying with Prime mode is absolutely key to this fight. If you can do it consistently he will stagger super fast and then just blow him away. I'd also recommend holding onto your limit break for the end. It's a great panic button if you're getting pressure while Zach is napping.
@@justincluett530 Any chance Zantetsukan happens if you DO not hit him enough? I think you need to keep damaging him or it will happen.
Just came to say thanks for all your videos, got me through the tough ones. Had this mostly figured out after watching another video. How you commentate makes all the difference though to really help clarify those little details. Your work is irreplaceable!
Finally got platinum today! This was the last challenge I had to do. Just wanted to give a shout-out to you for putting together these guides. They helped me get through all the combat simulations.
I gave this game a six month break and finally came back to it the last few days. Thanks to your incredible guidance, I finally got the platinum!
2 hours before the Stellar Blade release I reached platinum thanks. Thank you bro 💪
Completed! 1st try. After training vs Odin and Bahamut for 1h in the simulations.
Thank you so much for your guides!!! Beat almost them all on 1st try. Now onto hard mode lap, I don't think it'll be harder than this.
Finally someone with common sense to actually go practice the fights!
Thankyou for not complaining making excuses about the game like 90% of the other comments.
I didnt need to practice because when I fought odin he killed me enough times to where I had his perfect block timing down. If anything bahamut gave me more trouble. I first tried odin
Today Odin killed me with maybe 2% HP left :D .... then I took my revenge and finally did this challenge!
first time i got to odin the same thing happened to me. after 4 more hours i got the revenge lol
My man, you helped me to finish all combat simulators! I even made Bond of Friendchip first try thanks to your help! I can't describe how thankful I am for your guides! Thank you so so much!
Friend! Thanks to you I was able to get the trophy from the Chadley challenges. I'm coming from The Seventh Heal. I don't usually comment much, but this deserves recognition for the great help you've given us. You've earned yourself a subscriber, a friend, even a blood donor if you want! Thanks!
Finally got it ! Odin is such a pain... I added 1 level of difficulty: try doing while your cat switches the TV off in the middle of Odin fight at the few last hits, you know that moment you are so into it... "Wait did my console just went off or just the TV?? Why?? Pooh that cat !! 😺"
Thanks for the video 🎉
For anyone struggling with this one with a level 8 weapon like I was, finish hard mode and do the Sephiroth and Cloud VR first to get to weapon level 9. After many failed attempts on this one before watching this tutorial, I followed the one for Sephy, completed it first time then completed this one on my second attempt with a fully levelled sword.
Amazing work again mate. No idea how long this would have taken me without your videos. Finally got my platinum trophy.
I never finished the game in hard mode and I'm having trouble beating this challenge so I'll follow your advice and finish hard mode and get weapon level 9 first and then I'll try again. Alexander is kicking my ass almost every time, and the only few times I beat him the next monster killed me. Thank you.
omg it's finally here!!! platinum percentage for this game is about to skyrocket!!!
I've only got this and TBaH left, for combat sims, and the last two chapters on hard mode, until I get platinum. The trophy was at 1.1% when I started hunting, and it's taken me so long that a whole, additional percent of players have since beaten me to it. You have seriously helped me through so much of this game, and I can't thank you enough for all of your quality builds to deal with each challenge. Optimal efficiency, even for a noob. It's right there in your name lol. Thanks again for all of your help, so far
You’re the goat man. One fight to go.
I FINALLY DONE IT!! My Odin run was scuffed but got through it, can’t thank you enough man, your guides are the reason for my platinum!! Wish you all the best man and thank you again!!!👌
I’ve found every guide up to this point helpful. For whatever reason the bosses just do not behave at all like they do in your video. Even the first fight against titan I find that 25% of the time Zach doesn’t even have a full ATB bar to cast.
I try and implement the basics of what you’ve shown when there’s a surprise twist- but the randomness of the boss move set right out of the gate sometimes makes it feel impossible.
I’ll keep trying - and hopefully just get good.
Same for me.. Titan Strat works maybe 10% of the time, and none of the other have ever worked for me, and cloud runs out of mana for me despite having the exact setup
I'm still struggling immensely, but imagine my embarrassment when I realized I put up absorb twice by accident. That explains the mp issues 😅
Your guides were super helpful. I finally finished this platinum. I saved my gameplay footage. It got ugly in round 6 and a bit sloppy on round 9 but my Odin fight was almost flawless. Thank you for your hard work Optinoob.
Omg finally did it. Not sure how though. At the last second he stopped Zack killed Cloud and then wanted to cast spatial distortion and my Zack had 1 atb left and came out of stop. I was able to cast revive on cloud, get my atb up then cast faith and do one last aeroga and it killed him....... This game is going to give me heart failure ! Thank you once again my friend.
339 hours on this game still haven't completed it most of those hours are just me going afk tbh. I'm hurting my hand playing this game the amount of times I've banged on my desk after dying so many times. Just two more challenges then platinum I've had enough.
The RNG in this strategy is insane. It's so dependent on the enemies behaving exactly the same way as they do in your run.
Hey man! As someone who spent the past week grinding the final sims, just keep at it :)
Agree with your RNG assessment. Of the bosses, the most "RNG susceptible" of them all are:
1. Quezacoatl (since it won't always do it's "free" pressured stance at the same time every fight - so you can shockingly see your hp drain just from random melees)
2. Ironclad (it's the swings man - cast barrier if you suck at dodging like me)
3. Alexander (his pew pew stuff sequence is very random, but know that his homing blue pew pew, ground hadoukens, and even the seismic shockwave are all counterfire-able).
4. Mindflayer (more for the Eldritch Horror. Have magic shield up)
5. Bahamut (sort of, I still haven't managed to figure out when he changes modes).
Surprisingly, Odin becomes predictable with time. ❤
Yeah…. I definitely wouldn’t call this the “easy method.” Like, it’s a SOLID guide. But this is by no means easy… I’m going on 2 days with this method… made it to Odin once…. Bahumut 3x… sometimes IronClad f#%^s me… sometimes Quez… sometimes Flayer…. God help us.
@@Bodhinaut hands down this is the best guide, again shout out to Opti, Ive looked at every other "easy" guide but i cant even get past titan, but this one gets me to ODIN, just cant get it done,
@@tbrandy1405 when he uses skills he leaves orbs I think he needs 5/6 to change for first time (bahamut)
@@Bodhinaut Did you end up beating it?
I can't believe it. I finally beat it after about 20 tries. I think was finally helped when I was about to quit was leaving this one alone for a bit and beating To Be a Hero first. The Sephiroth build is slightly easier and I think it helped me practice Bahamut and Odin for this one. Thank you so much Optinoob! Without your guides I would have lost my sanity for sure.
I have honestly never been this turned off by a game's post game content before. It has really soured the entire game to me at this point. I loved Remake so much when it came out. It was the first Final Fantasy I ever played and got me hooked immediately. I was looking forward to Rebirth coming out for so long and was so excited. Now I can't help but feel disappointed at how much this post-game content made me hate this game. Hopefully when I replay it in about year and can ignore hard mode and the legendary/brutal simulators, I can go back to enjoying the game. But at this point I am so burnt out. Even though I've beaten it now, I truly hope they nerf these final challenges to some degree. It is not fun. It is insulting to the player to abuse their time and dedication like that.
That's it, rant over. Thank you if you read this far. I really want to love the game. I WOULD love the game if the developers treated the players who want to 100% it with more respect.
Your guides are phenomenal and so accessible. It’s hard to prepare materia until you know what you’re up against and you don’t know what you’re up against until you’ve miserably slogged your way through the gauntlet. You’ve saved me so much agonising trial and error.
I didn’t mind this one as much because Zack predetermines half the build, making you somewhat optimised.
THANK YOU OPTINOOB!!!! Was honestly stuck on Odin for so long... but i kept at it with your guide... Thank you, definitely one of the hardest FF7 challenges out
Thank you so much for these guides. Before I found you I couldn't even beat the White Terror with Cloud, and now I just finished off Bonds of Friendship.
I feel like I need a support group for this challenge!!!!!!!! I’m almost there, but damn this is tough! Some days, I get to Odin super fast! Today, I couldn’t even get to him lol! Tomorrow is a new day!
Are you using this strat? I beat this with a way worse set up
@ I beat it using this strat last month.
I'm so tired of this Platinum. It's not even fun anymore. I feel physically and mentally tired. I don't know if I can keep going. I just need to finish Story Hard Chapter 14 and the last 2 Legendary Challenge. Still, I feel like I want to just.. stop.
Did you eventually do it?
No, sadly. I wish I had though. I may try again in a near futur but I needed a break.
230 hours and I now have the platinum. Thank you so much for making these. Here’s to seeing your videos again in part 3.
I never comment on videos. But I just had to on this one. I got my platinum about 2 weeks ago. I would never of gotten it without your amazing guides. You have been a life savior for me. I pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that you helped us with our platinum trophy. Thank you! We look forward to your guides in part 3!
It was the hardest battle in my life. Finally made it. It was close that I have to go mental hospital. 😂
Thank you for the guide. I managed to beat this challenge after maxing out my weapon level at 9. For those wondering what the difference in stats is, Optinoob's "Attack" at weapon level 8 is 287, at level 9 it is 297 (not a great difference) BUT "Magic Attack" increases from 468 to 499 which is indeed substantial. (All other stats of the Rune Blade remain the same)
This whole bout is so insanely RNG, not only Odin. Kujata keeps destroying me because you have to attack so many times and so fast that at times it'll leave me on the ground long enough so that it stomps over me and insta-kills me. I'm so massively done with these challenges and platinum.
After 200 hrs I finally got the platinum trophy :) thank you again for these helpful guides! you made possible something that I wasn't sure to accomplish at the beginning, You have my gratitude and my subscription!
Perfect guide . Thank you very much . At first I was stupid and didn't want to train solo for Bahamut and Odin , but finally realized that I need to learn there patterns and after little training I switched on my ultra instinct and beat it on my second try . I felt like a pro at the end, fighting Bahamut and Odin.
