I like that you show use cases for this gimbal. I recently bought it and you are giving me ideas for content. Also nice showcase with the FX30, was planning to upgrade to that camera. :)
Hey Thomas, great video! About the framing issue, I was watching a couple of videos and there is a re-framing gesture (at least there is now), where you can execute the gesture and then choose where in the frame you'd like to be. I just ordered two of these today, so hoping they're as good as what I'm seeing from others!
Hey Tom. I'm about to get this gimbal because of the tracking feature which I think is, like you said, a dealbreaker. I was also considering buying the Scorp-C, which is a tad cheaper, but having learned about the AI-powered tracking capability of the Scorp 2 I decided to get the "2" instead. From what I can see in your video (nice grading BTW) is that the tracking seems to be very reliable. I also would like to point out that the way it does the tracking seems, at least to me, very "organic" (for a robot ;) . The moves it makes are not gimbal-like at all, they're not all that buttery smooth and flowing. Perhaps it is also due to yours moving around the room in a rather quick and erratic way, so the latency of the gimbal reaction contributed to its tracking having variable speed and changing directions. Nevertheless, it all does look good. I think this gimbal , especially for the money they want for it, is a steal. I think it's awesome. Thanks for a very informative video, and all the best to you!
thanks ! i've a question, can i use this gimbal for a smartphone too ? (i don 't want to buy the mini scorp 2 because my SONYwith the lense are too heavy. Thanks
Yup! if movement is super fast or the subject is very far away it can lose it sometimes, but yeah you can walk with it, focus on keeping it steady and let the gimbal do the framing for the most part
Ive never used a gimbal, not sure if I need one. But everyone seems to be using them. I feel kind of antiquated, but Im not sure Id end up using one and end up leaving it on a shelf like my drone.
They’re nice to have, but when I was doing video work full time I used them just a few times a year. Depends on what kinda stuff you do! Don’t impulse buy just because others use them
Hello, I have no extposition settings on this stab, bluetooth can only start and pause shooting, do you have the settings menu working ? SonyZV-E1 camera
Hi, I recently bought the feiyutech scorp 2 thinking that it can take weight upto 2.5 kilogrammes. I tried to balance my Sony a7iii with samyang 35-150mm f2-2.8 lens. The total weight is less than 2 kilogrammes. But the gimbal doesn't balance it. I tried it with the counter weights but it doesn't work. Please advise what can I do now? Jose
That’s quite a large camera package for any gimbal to be honest… that’s a big, very front heavy lens. Gimbals can handle a certain amount of weight in ideal circumstances, but it also depends on the weight distribution. If all the weight is in the front or back and it’s very uneven, a small gimbal like this one probably can’t compensate. Depending on where you got it, you may be able to return it if it’s not doing what you were hoping. If not, try other lens and camera combinations
@@thomasjmcclure its working with other lenses. i was hoping there could be a way to work with this set-up also, because the total weight is less than 2 kilogrames. i am going to try another way. if that also doesn't work then ill be left with no option but use smaller lenses. thankd for your reply. have a good day
Gonna be live here in a few mins: youtube.com/@vivid95gaming
4:00 you can recenter doing the reframe sign, then walk then reframe sign again
I’m glad you made this video because I just ordered the Scorp two and the fx30 with the tamron 17-70 is my primary setup!
it's really cool.... the features really stand out for sure

I'll definitely share this video with my friend... best gimbal for her work course😄😄
Awesome!
For the centering the camera why don't you use the frame mode in the AI

Is it compatible with the Sony A6700?
Really cool everything I love about the pocket three in a gimbal need to get
It’s okay with Sony fx30 ?
Great video man. Can this gimbal also track human subject when the gimbal is hand held and the photographer is moving?

Hey great video! Subbed! Will this work with canon rebel t7?
