It’s that you should eat randy
Somebody switched out Cupid’s arrows.
This could mean one of four things:
1. It is commenting on how self-centered some people can be, even in the event that someone else's problems far outweigh the current situation.
2. It is commenting on how some people can blow the situation out of proportion, making their problems seem much more serious than they actually are. Judging by how the others at the restaurant are looking at him, this seems plausible.
3. It is commenting on how society is consumed with being proper and shallow, ignoring the things that go on around them.
4. Never piss of an assassin who owns invisible arrows.
EDIT: 3 and 4 have already been said, so I can't really take credit for them.

This video is funny, but I think it's like...when someone is on a date and all they talk about is themselves and don't even ask about you or care.

I think it's about someone going through something serious and no one sees it or chooses not to see it, while they are surrounded by people. People with everyday problems they wish they could have. I felt this way in my 20s. Thankfully I dont feel that way anymore.

The menu at that restaurant had everything he'd ever want but nothing that quite fancies him.
I think this video beautifully illustrates the imbalance of values in today's society; and the difference between real and imagined pain. It's also really funny; I love this.

Am I the only one who thought that the joke was you expect him to be elaborately faking the arrows to try and get out of the date? That's why the ending lasts so long, because you're waiting for him to suddenly get up again and deliver the punchline, but it never comes.

Honestly, it seems like a satire of American/First World Culture.
We are so wrapped up in what we are doing and looking good (in this case, eating at a fancy restaurant) that we don't help the people right next to us who are slowly dying(Central and South America are very close and yet we care more about the latest iPhone than we do about stopping hunger-- I'm talking about people helping people not government policies and foreign aid). We actually get annoyed at them for needing our help because they are disrupting our life with their needs (like medical attention). We even get annoyed when someone who is also "well off" needs our help (like when someone runs out of money because of the cost of chemotherapy or when their home is destroyed by a tornado).
I mean, you've probably seen Julian's other stuff. Maybe you haven't read the articles he posted explaining the points he sometimes tries to make but he is a rather thoughtful guy and I wouldn't be surprised if this was more than a "funny video". Especially since this isn't nearly as funny as his other stuff (which should catch your attention. I mean, he's clearly a very funny and witty guy yet this isn't his style of comedy. This isn't "normal" for him.)
Buuuuuuut that's just my take on it :P
