im watching this cuz my buddy just bought a Yamaha v star as his first bike and wants a sound system on it, me being the guy thats put every sound system in all of his vehicles i gotta do it so this was helpful and seems much better than a sound bar like im gonna have to run cuz im building a custom shadow bobber and theres just gonna be no place to hide all the wires and shit. but love the wide glide man. my dads got a custom tricked out 98 wide glide thats been lowered and raked and has a sick ass air brushed paint job, the things got close to 45 grand into it.... im not much of a harley guy but cuz of that bike i got a soft spot for the wide glides.. thanks man.

I'm thinking of using my battery tender plug for power instead of more wires going to my battery and more connections that might get corroded or fail. Other than that I'm putting the 4 speaker boss set up on my Yamaha royal star. Nice to see a video of a install before I try it lol.

No need for the toggle switch guys! Last thing you want to do is forget to turn that toggle off when you get off your bike...can someone say "Dead Battery"! If you tap the relay power off an accessory wire (or any wire that is hot when the ignition switch is on), your speakers will only come on with the ignition in ON or ACCESSORY position. Same way you install stereos in cars/trucks folks.

Hey thanks for all your videos first. Got some bags on order and a fairing for my Street Bob. Searching for a possible sound system. I ran across your video. I like the set up. But, maybe I can be helpful to you in return. Your amp mounting situation. I be seen a lot of people remove the trim band on battery box cover. People have the mounted all sorts of bags to cover after removal of band. I’ve seen them use it for usb stations. iPad carriers, concealed carry holsters inside. I thought maybe if you got a small tool bag and minted your amp through bag and to tool box cover with bolts, washers and nuts or some hardware configuration. This might keep your amp dry and safe. Thanks for the hard work and the videos. Keep them come. Keep the rubber side down and watch out for the tar snakes!

I don't like the fact it says on the box 'street legal' That might imply you can't really crank up the bass! LOL
On a serious note, It's common sense to wire the system to a power source first and test it thoroughly before attaching it to any bike permanently.
Saves on potential headaches in the long run.
On a personal note, I would have wired the power into the ignition, not added a switch, which is possible to forget and corrode, as the one you have chosen is not waterproof.
