Julia!! I just want you to know, to hear it again, to really feel your own generosity, my finding you on RUclips has inspired me, nurtured my creative process and I am smiling for having you in my virtual life!!! You are an angel!! Hugs from San Diego, CA
Hi Polly, Your comment means so much to me! My goal is to inspire others to try different things and stir up their creativity. Sewing and working with fabric can be so rewarding. Thanks for watching! Julia
Yep!! my feelings exactly, Julia brightens my days too. "fed-up" is an interesting description I think we share, our world needs to go on a fast, let's sew our way through it
Such sweet projects! We worked ourselves into bed today, lol. I couldn't wait to see if "my favey RUclipsr" posted a new video! You did! You DID! 🤗😆 Thx again Julia! Brenda 🌼
Lovely hearts. One day I will gather enough courage to do free motion sewing, in the meantime your videos will keep inspiring me. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Julia - I love the way the watercolor paint spreads and mingles together. The pink and orange look so pretty together. I love all the fun projects that you create. Word fabric is always great to add that little extra to a project. Love how these turned out. Hope you are having great weather. It really doesn’t know what season it wants to be here in Tennessee. One day 90 and the next 60. Craziest weather that I’ve seen in a lot of years. Have a great week and see ya next time. Hugs.
Hello! I hope you had an awesome day! I had a very busy but fun filled day in my sewing room ironing more fabrics and now I get to hand quilt. Thank you for posting your video.
Oh both projects turned out so cute! I love that fabric with the words, and I LOVE how you combine watercolor painting with fabric! You are my go-to artist on RUclips for that. Can't wait to give this a try. Thanks again for another great video, Julia!
HI Kerry, Thank you so much for watching and commenting. I'm so glad you are inspired by my videos. Watercolor on fabric is so much fun! Enjoy your day, Julia
Thank you so much I have not done yet is Tanya free motion embroidering for a will try this today I really enjoyed your video thank you so much for sharing your ideas thank you.
Hi Julia! I am so pumped watching your videos and have started practicing free motion. So fun, but I have a plastic plate on my singer to cover the feed dogs. I have had problems with the needle hitting that plate and poking through it. Can you share what model Janine machine you have with the button that lowers the feed dogs? Thanks so much!
Hi, I know that some machines have a cover for the feed dogs but I do not have any experience with using one. That has to be frustrating! My sewing machine is the Janome Memory Craft 8200. It is one the higher end of their models but the mid-line ones also have the lever to lower the pressure foot. I also have a small portable Elna machine that does a great job at free-motion. It too has a lever to lower the dogs. My suggestion is to ask a sewing machine dealer for recommendations in your price range. Also if the machine does not come with a free-motion foot, ask the dealer to help get the correct one. I hope this helps! Free-motion stitching is a lot of fun! Julia
I just so enjoy sitting and watching you design. You are a true artist. It’s mesmerizing! Every time I have a few minutes I sit down and watch your videos and now I have my sister hooked. I did a bunch yesterday and even spelled the word love. I also made some of the hearts with the watercolor fill and had a blast! Ironically I was asking a question on Amazon about the replacement feed dog cover and someone mentioned that you didn’t actually need it so I tried free motion with the feed dogs in place and it worked just fine if not better on my singer. I have not tried a lot of stippling yet, successfully anyway, but it did work with making the loops and multi layering of thread. Thank you so much for sharing your talents ideas and hints with us. You have truly given me something fun and somewhat addictive to create now! I will be tuning in daily!
