Great video build and review as alway. Glad you liked the project and funny you got the same results as me re some of the discs. I found a lot of games music out there too.
Thanks Jon. Glad you enjoyed it. It's a quirky little thing but it is good fun to mess with. I'll have to have a look round for some more music for it. I can't fathom why some of these disks didn't work
What a remarkable project.. I've just taken a look as how to program the Beeb to make sounds with the SID chip and there's a whole lotta POKE-ing gokng on! Not sure I'll be attempting thjs particular project on my BBC Micro, but what I have done is fitted a volume control.. it can get a bit strident!
I havent touched a BBC B computer since 1982 or 1983. I used to type in game programs from magazines for the owner, He would read them out to me and I would type. I got to know a little about the sequence of the programming and would finish before he did on some commands. But that was the last time I ever done programming on a pc. Have no idea now about computer language. A friend had the same BBC B and he was a programmer and used to create security programs for companies
Funny you should say that. I live in Georgia in the US, and have a model B on the way to me from the UK. Never owned one, so I am looking forward to receiving it.
Thats a cool little project. Its crazy to hear the BBC make sounds like that
Thanks. I'm really glad you enjoyed it 😊
Great video and an interesting project for the Beeb.
Thanks John. Its a fun little thing (and no C64's were harmed in the making of it 😊)
you have a nice looking
bbc there simon! nice project...i like how you have all of your computers on in the backround ! very good!..
Thanks Mike 😁. This one took quite a bit of restoration. Sadly it was before I started my channel so it was never recorded
My wife doesn't really get all those computers, but she humours me 😂

Ooh now, a volume control would be very handy!
A whole lotta of POKE-ing is exactly how the C64 did it.
@RobA500 To my shame, I've never owned a C64. Its on my list of things to get though 😊

being a Texan, i've never had my greasy paws on a beeb. i'd love to, though.
Yes I think they are really rare in the USA. I don't think they sold many
