This is an accurate historical account - I was at MikroGen when this game was being developed and saw all the drama from the inside. Although, I had already moved to developing for Hewson before MikroGen went down completely. The management at MikroGen had a huge bust up over the game. They shouldn't have relied on an external contractor for such an important title.
Wow! Thanks for the comment!! Feel free to PM me on FB or X. Links in channel description. I found it fascinating researching this and would love to hear some of the details
Cool that this exists. I've still got my original from way back when and can remember not playing it much even after reading the book and instructions that came with it
@@RaceDayReplayGreat that you still have it! . I watched a bit of a walkthrough video on completing the game. Even that didn't grab me as a game worth putting the effort in to play it. Such a shame really
@@RetroComputingReboot hey there... i ust ran across this video *_"I found the greatest ZX Spectrum BASIC programmer of all time"_* and thought i should mention it to you.
nice build simon.....to bad that memory upgrade never took hold...dont think that the game was right to start it off....something more simple perhaps? but time has made its judgement! let me know if you get any further in the game! thqnks simon. .

another tell for locating pin one is the square soldering pad. this is useful if there is no silk screened info shows the orientation of the chip.

Less work went into launching the Apollo 11
Before my time 😂
It would have made more sense to make it a ram expansion.
Yes probably so. I'm no expert but I'm guessing there were issues here with addressing additional RAM
