The new mid size trucks all cap out at 5,500-7,500 lbs of towing and I want to pull a medium size travel trailer as well as off-road with it. I like the midsize footprint a lot because they are easier to garage, park and 4x4 the narrow USFS & BLM trails. Bring it.

Hi watching from Australia 🇭🇲 and yes this truck sounds good, but what we need to see is this truck with a decent engine, the Ranger we have here has the 3.0ltr V6 turbo diesel, it's good, but for heavy towing you need an F250 with that 6.7 V8 in it, which we can't get, they are bringing in the F150 now, but only with the V6 gas engine, Aussies want the big boy, the F250/350 with the 6.7 V8. As for this Super Duty Ranger, it needs a decent power plant, because if your going to tow 4.5 tonnes that V6 turbo diesel we have won't cut it, so it will be interesting to see what the engineering team do about engines. For me, the only option was the opposition, and that was either 2500 Chev, or a 2500 Ram for heavy towing, and I would have DEFINITELY bought a F250, but again Ford Australia, they think Australia doesn't need the F250, F350 they are totally stupid, so we'll see what they do with this Super Duty Ranger, they need to think ENGINES this time, and good stuff, not this light duty stuff. All the best to you good Americans👍
Yeah I'd probably buy that seems like a cool little truck but they gotta throw a small diesel in it n not gas with a standard transmit n locking hubs now that would be a wicked little truck
Hardly anyone tows or hauls to the maximum capacity of an F-150. Almost no one tows or hauls anything significant in size or weight in a Ranger. So, there wouldn't be much point in offering a Ranger with more capacity when we already have options to us here in the US that fill those needs. Also, gotta consider price. We'd like to wish for a cheaper truck in the US, but a mid-spec light duty Ranger is in the $50k territory. How much more would a Super Duty Ranger be, $60k? Well's that's F-150 pricing now. Doesn't make any sense. I'm all for more options, but it's got to make sense for Ford to even consider it.
Because people do tow with the Ranger in Australia this is why we will get the Super Duty. This thing if it meets its promise will put a big dent in the US Ute market in Australia.

I think that it's good for Australia since it fits their legal requirements. There is no need to further segment the truck market with a niche truck. Ask Nissan how that worked out with their Titan XD. If it was that lucrative a market you would see those trucks everywhere. You don't. Add to that the fact that once you put a 10k pound tow rating on it, every goof with a travel trailer will want to hook up their big windsail, max it out, and expect the truck to pull it like a full size super duty. This is a solution looking for a problem. Get an F150 and be happy.

I would love to see a work version of the Ranger. I do think it would need to have a more usable bed than is currently available. Reach over heights have gotten insane. I think an extended cab with a longer, lower bed would be a hit.
Would be neat. Chevy had the Colorado with the Superduty Payload package and Max Duty Trailer tow package on my 2021 Chevy Colorado WT4, the weakest part of that truck was the frame lol, she’d twist off the line like a tractor tow rig when bogged down. Wasn’t a single trailer I needed to tow that I couldn’t over a short distance though!
If Farley acknowledges that process are getting to expensive, why has he let the price of the Maverick balloon buy about 4 to 5k compared to when it first came out?
Man I would love to have a dually ranger that would be the best truck for me. I sold my old diesel truck just because it wasn't being used and the up keep and space it needed. Always need a truck just not a full size truck
I said yes a day ago but to see. The US doesn't need it since we have vehicles already for towing larger loads. This is for those places that utilize a truck that uses Midsized trucks.
I love how rather than lowering the price of an F150, Ford would rather just make a more expensive Ranger. Make cheap work trucks again, bring back the single cab with a stick.
You are obviously forgetting the 2011 F-150 XL HDPP Long Bed with the 3.5 Ecoboost. That little unicorn can tow over 11k and had a payload capacity of over 3k pounds. It's basically an F-150 built on a F-250 frame.
Nope. The aluminum body of the F-Series trucks makes the Ranger unnecessary. It's a slightly smaller truck that weighs almost as much as an F-150. What good is that? Now, if they started making aluminum bodied Rangers, maybe. But that ain't happening either. Let's face it, the Ranger was designed in Australia for markets where the F-series trucks are either not allowed or just not practical due to their larger overall size and mainly their greater width. To be honest, I would have been more interested in a Bronco truck than the Ranger. At least that would have been more unique and better suited to the North American market and parts sharing between that and the Bronco SUV would have been even greater than what they already have between the Ranger and Bronco. And, unlike the Ranger, a Bronco truck would have pirated more Jeep Gladiator sales than it would have F-150 sales.
Yes there is a market for the ranger super duty. I have f150 lariat 3.5 ecoboost. I have done allot of upgrades for what I really needed. Upgraded turbos, upgraded coils, injectors. It is amazing what the 3.5 can really do. Rear wheel up Dino 525. It took a little to get the bugs out. Now it purres like a big cat. Would not trade it for a v8.
Yes it is a strong market which Toyota controls. The problem the market is requesting more GCVW without $80k truck. If Ford does this truck in America they need to bump up the F250 to F450 GCVWR as well. Hopefully under $50k
Definitely need these in the States. I’ve been thinking about buying a Ranger. I owned the gen 5 Bronco, a F150 and a F350 limited edition crew cab dually. I bought my first wife and Excursion when they came out. I am a diehard Ford customer as well as the rest of my family. I’m very impressed with the new Ranger. I would love a SuperDuty Ranger. It would look great in my driveway with my 2023 Bronco 😊😊😊❤
Ranger Super Duty Sounds perfect since the 2022 Ranger fleet vehicle I have is complete Duty…. Hopefully they use the same problematic 10 speed trans that won’t go into gear when it’s cold and has a random consistent slip like in the 2022 I drive daily…
car haulers, flat bed haulers, heavy equipment haulers, landscaping, the list will go on and on would love a short super duty truck better fuel mileage too.
Yes, especially with how expensive trucks have gotten. I’m still debating on getting a F150 Raptor or a Ranger Raptor because of the price of the F150 Raptor. I have saved up over the last 4 years for a F150 Raptor when they were around 65k, now they start at 80k. That’s a huge jump! most of the people that bought cars and trucks in 2020 after everything was over charged by dealers, the owners have let go of them because they couldn’t make the payments. I have seen so many CARFAX with lien’s on the records. Ford really needs to be more creative on the F150 options in order to sell more. I wouldn’t mind buying an STX but I would want an option to at least update the seats with the 8 way adjustment. The only way to get that is to go up to a XLT, spend another 5k for the seats doesn’t make sense to me. Either way, the ranger Raptor is almost as big as the F150 that you would have to consider buying it.
You're saying people were overcharged back in 2020, but here you are complaining about how your dream Raptor went from $65k to $80k after 4 years of "saving" up. In reality, had you just taken out loan and bought the Raptor way back then, you would've gotten one for $65k.
I kinda get the feeling this will just be a regular cab with no bed (like a chassis cab configuration) that will just bump up numbers a bit with a unique leaf pack and maybe a couple other small changes save for maybe a dually type rear axle.
Sure they should and while there at it allow more options for Caribbean orders. We can't even get black appearance package now just chrome so now Rams are selling more than F150s.
I don’t think so. You can already option a ranger up to 50k. Might as well get an F150 at that point. If anything it could be a max trailer tow package for the ranger. But at that point most people just seem to buy the next size up.
We need the Everest and wildtrak in the US. Bring back diesel and single cab options. Bring back the manual. Bring back the single din radio. Follow Toyota with the super affordable, bare bones work truck
If the super duty comes with 4x4, in titanium trim, if it gets a bigger motor and is still diesel id definitely be looking at it because im already looking at the titanium ranger and adding up the cost to put a canopy on the back, a bigger fuel tank (150L) and putting a suspension upgrade so i can tow a new 3.5ton caravan thats not built yet. So ford dont be pulling my middle leg about this super duty Ranger. Some bigger tyres n rims would also be on it to carry or pull the extra weight oh and not as expensive as a RAM/Silverado as ive also been looking at them. Also hope ford can fix the problems with the current Ranger so they dont go across to the super duty. If its for OZ, test it with the full weight and the max heat 🥵 50deg in WA.
Australia has a modestly sized market for vehicles with full-sized truck capabilities. Years ago, Ford sold a Super Duty down there, but it didn't go well. This SD Ranger lets them offer a product that is largely the same as what's already for sale. Also, on the busy streets of SE Asia, a higher capacity vehicle in the midsize truck format will find buyers. I America, a high capacity half ton might be desirable. Nissan badly fumbled the Titan XD and Ford themselves stopped offering the High Capacity F150.
I’d rather have the option for front and rear lockers on any truck without having to buy an expensive trim. We want off road capability without needing sunroof and all the bells and whistles.
They already have the 3.0 power stroke engine in the Ranger in Australia in the upper trim levels. I’ve got one in my Everest Sport (SUV version of the Ranger). It never made sense to me to offer it in an F150 or the 2.7l ecoboost either for that matter.
all right, I'm going to bust your bubble in your arguments right now number one we don't have the regulation that she has here in the US number two. The Ranger raptor coming to the US was because there was a need for for it GM has the Colorado ZR2 bison and the GMC Canyon AT4x so they really had to bring the Ranger raptor to America not to mention the regular. Ranger is not competing with the gladiator very well.
Should Ford bring the new Ranger Super Duty to the US?!

What engine would it use, 2.7, 3.0 or 3.5?
Bring back a retro F-150 that is exactly like a 1995 or 1996 F150. Those were some awesome trucks.
Bring it! Build it with a limited trim and towing! Maybe even a diesel. 👍🏻
I’d say yes there is definitely a market for this truck
There's a guy locally here in Kentucky that still drives his 1980s Toyota 1-ton compact truck to work daily.
Yes I think there is a market for a super duty Ranger. Bring it onto the US
They need to put that grill in the F250,F350
Calling it now: It’ll be 40k for a standard cab long bed 4x2.
Connot wait to see 5th wheels attached to a "Ranger" Super Duty 😎 Payload is KING.
It will have a 4000 lb payload
Yes. We should have ALL the vehicles. End the Chicken Tax!!
If Farley acknowledges that process are getting to expensive, why has he let the price of the Maverick balloon buy about 4 to 5k compared to when it first came out?
Inflation. 26k now is about equivalent to 21k back in 2021. (?)
Lighter version of the Ford Ranger Super Duty
What yall don't know, RANGERS been towing more than 17000lbs for 30 plus years😂😂😂😂 that ain't no truck, that's a ford f'n ranger!!!!!
They should make it a cab chassis version extended cab version so we can mount after factory service bodies.
I hope it comes with a v8 probably not as we don’t have access to many v8s
No we'll be a 3 L diesel
Yes fleets would love it
Bronco should have just been a bobbed f150 with a removable top, just like the OBS broncos.
Hell yes, there’s a market right here.
Not car Haulers or flatbed in Australia, or heavy equipment. These are done by Light medium Trucks
Is it April already?
No this is a considerable redesign to allowed to have a 4000 lb payload
A 25K full size work truck !
Heat ,Ac, cruze nothing else manual everything 😮
Sure they should and while there at it allow more options for Caribbean orders. We can't even get black appearance package now just chrome so now Rams are selling more than F150s.
I don’t think so. You can already option a ranger up to 50k. Might as well get an F150 at that point. If anything it could be a max trailer tow package for the ranger. But at that point most people just seem to buy the next size up.
I just bought the f150 instead of the ranger for this very reason. Gotta haul what ya gotta haul!
We need the Everest and wildtrak in the US. Bring back diesel and single cab options. Bring back the manual. Bring back the single din radio. Follow Toyota with the super affordable, bare bones work truck
people would gobble those up in the USA. they need to bring it home!
Yes I would buy one asap
Yes , should bring it here for higher payload , but give us a cheaper F150 with a V8.
Ford USA has already said they don't intend on bringing the Ranger Superduty to the American market.
Regular cab Long bed?? Definitely..
Cool it can tow more..but how does it stop?
Because it will be basically a brand new vehicle
Australia has a modestly sized market for vehicles with full-sized truck capabilities. Years ago, Ford sold a Super Duty down there, but it didn't go well. This SD Ranger lets them offer a product that is largely the same as what's already for sale. Also, on the busy streets of SE Asia, a higher capacity vehicle in the midsize truck format will find buyers.
I America, a high capacity half ton might be desirable. Nissan badly fumbled the Titan XD and Ford themselves stopped offering the High Capacity F150.
Except the full size truck capabilities not that brilliant US. Pickups have a very low payload capabilities compared to other vehicles
And a 4x4 I’m in!Would be nice to have a capable truck without being vehicle broke because I’m keeping my bronco 😂
They should put that front end on the superduty it looks way better
Just got an F250 or 350 in an XL trim????
I’d rather have the option for front and rear lockers on any truck without having to buy an expensive trim. We want off road capability without needing sunroof and all the bells and whistles.
Yes and the most point affordable
It be nice if they put an 3.0liter power stroke in the ranger super duty
Nobody cared or bought the mini diesel ford pick up. That’s why it was discontinued so quickly
They already have the 3.0 power stroke engine in the Ranger in Australia in the upper trim levels. I’ve got one in my Everest Sport (SUV version of the Ranger). It never made sense to me to offer it in an F150 or the 2.7l ecoboost either for that matter.
Yes they will
We need a F150 super duty. That would make more sense to me.
all right, I'm going to bust your bubble in your arguments right now number one we don't have the regulation that she has here in the US number two. The Ranger raptor coming to the US was because there was a need for for it GM has the Colorado ZR2 bison and the GMC Canyon AT4x so they really had to bring the Ranger raptor to America not to mention the regular. Ranger is not competing with the gladiator very well.
I honestly think it'll just be a small frame hd with hefty suspension
