„Les inconnues de Manhattan”, the original title of this short translates as “Manhattan‘s unknowns” - still valid today when it comes to the great Karen Dalton. Thank you!
I found her album Her walking and looking at the camera . I found her for the first time in approx 1990s I was in my 30s . I gave her to a record master in thanks for giving me samples of great music 💿 Her voice is remarkable original sound 😊 I can still find her music on the internet 😊
I wish we could hear this particular version of “God Bless the Child” from in its entirety because her harmonies and pitch is much sadder than the other recordings of her playing them.
That's a bit of a howler! Presumably a mistake, unless she or a manager told that to a gullible French TV crew! She did record her debut LP in 1969, and in one day, so maybe that was booked and ready to roll.
❤I love Karen Dalton....A big Loss.
We miss her...!!
she’s just the best of the best
WOW JUST WOW !!!!!!!❤❤❤

It's all there was, sorry!
her concentration and aura during her singing reminds me of fiona apple (im not comparing, just drawing a paralel)
It's peculiar the voiceover says she's just 19 (when she was 32) and hasn't produced a record, but maybe tomorrow will be the day.
