Gazely Gaze
Великобритания
Добавлен 21 май 2017
I gazed a gazely stare through a life in music.
Gems, multi genres, mostly unseen or remastered 60's, 70's, 80's...
Stories and interesting info are often to be found in the descriptions.
Alan Stivell at Cambridge Folk Festival 1974, 'Suite Sudarmoricaine' etc
French Celtic musician Alan Stivell and band get the Cambridge folkies dancing to 'Suite Sudarmoricaine' at 1:13, in July 1974. The climax to a half-hour TV feature on the festival, uploading here soon. I think it's a different song at the start, if anyone can identify it or the band-members let me know in the comments and I'll update the description.

He plays all the characters explaining the beer brewing process in 'I Know What I Like', a short made by Rank Films for The Brewers Society in 1973. The old brewery shown looks a lot like Fullers' Griffin Brewery in Chiswick in west London. It's still there - and they have visitor tours where you can enjo...

Jon Hendricks - a D-Day black soldier veteran with racist white officers
Просмотров 1705 месяцев назад
Jazz singer Jon Hendricks took part in a segregated black D-Day landing in France. Abused by racist officers but welcomed by local French girls, soon he deserted and was shot at by US soldiers - then court-marshalled and sentenced to 3 years jail. Here he returns to a Normandy beach in 1994 with a daughter(s?) for the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. In 2004 a film 'Back to Normandie' wa...

Ain't That Peculiar? Smokey Robinson & Miracles' rare unheard original!

Smokey Robinson & the Miracles wrote the song but NEVER released it - instead it was a huge hit for Marvin Gaye. Yet here they are performing 'Ain't That Peculiar' on Hullabaloo on January 31 1966 - just three months after Gaye's version. It's not known if they mimed here to an earlier demo or recorded it again for this show. Just 55 seconds of an ultra rarity! (btw yes, it's real ... difficult...

What a voice she has!
Drunk? In a pub? The things these celebrities get up to....
Jamie Heath, one of the great ones. he is missed.
Gone Yet Not Forgotten R.I.P Shane MacGowan
I wish I'd been there for that. One helluva band and Shane the epitome of too cool for school
Sounds like a goose farting through a tennis racquet. If you enjoy the noises he makes then good on you, but let’s not pretend he could sing.
What might sound like a goose farting through a tennis racquet to you, might sound like a heavenly hypnotic angelic choir to others.
@ - like I said: if you enjoy the noises coming out of his mouth, good on you. Let’s not pretend he can sing though - I can hear the same thing in any traditional pub on a Saturday night in Liverpool around closing time.
@@daviddawson6150 Singing is is the ear of the beholder!
@ - enjoyment of a noise is in the ear of the beholder; actually being able to hit and hold notes the right notes is objective.
God loves all of us in his creation. 👍🙏❤️
Love this prophet❤
Oh Wow! That’s Eagle Eye Cherry sitting next to his father Don Cherry. He must be around 5 or six here.
He's 5 here, by my reckoning.
Est-ce que John Lennon en toile de fond, sur la guitare? il lui ressemble un peu. I know it’s not, I’m just joking. This is a beautiful song, and her voice is angelic. The lyrics are so good, and very relatable to us all (all of us who still have at least two functioning brain cells and at least an ounce of common sense left) considering how les foutus gauchists Marxists ont détruit l’ouest, ici en Amérique, et là bas en Europe. I have to watch my swearing, so i swear in French because those of whom i speak, watch me like a hawk since I speak the truth. Enfoirés. (C’est comme ça qu’on dit “fuckers" en français)? En tous cas, François Hardey est la meilleure chanteuse française.
La amo 🥺
Don pichula presente
Great

I dislike where Valor took the band and found a lot of it cringe, and it is a shame because i always stood up for his abilities. he was a good guitarist and had a good voice. and i always loved Gitane and David Glass. and i love Bari Bari's guitar sound, would have loved to hear him work with Rozz.
Shane, a genius, poet. May you rest in the arms of creator
