    Thank you for watching! p.s: Swedish music with English Subs is not easy to find. If you find videos with English Subs, there a higher chance that we will react to it. It's more convenient, but we will still also react to music without subs.

    I find it humorous that the translation translated it to "The Item". The word is "Varandra" which means "Eachother", but it is often shortened, and then we (at least I) spell it as "Varann", but they clearly wrote "Varan" which IS a Swedish word for an.. "item".. more specifically items that are for sale.. So.. if you go to a store looking at the items they have for sale, then those are "Varor" (plural) and "Vara" (singluar) OR if you want to talk about a SPECIFIC item, then "The" item would be "Den varan".. (we can often skip the word for "The" simply because we change the ending of the word. Though we do have two different types of nouns: Soft and Hard. The soft ones are "Den" word:"en", whereas the hard is "Det" word:"et".

  • @matshjalmarsson3008
    @matshjalmarsson3008 9 месяцев назад +7

    It's not "item", "varann" means "each other", so it's a fairy tale that we found each others

    I don't know if you've ever reacted to Monica Zetterlund but she (and perhaps Alice Babs) is the queen of Swedish jazz. I believe her most famous song is "Sakta vi genom stan" but everything she's done is amazing.

    Vispop is folk-pop in English. The way Lisa pronounces the letter R is typical for most Swedish dialects. Check out Lisa Ekdal singing Tvivel. Also a good song. And I remember you mentioned you're gonna react to Melissa Horn. Her song "Jag saknar dig mindre och mindre" is so good.

    1:14 That's just a mistake; item = _varan,_ a misspelling of _varann_ = each other.

    And Horga låten, that’s a real Swedish folksong, ”Ifjol så gick jag med herrarna i hagen ” aswell, both songs are so old that nobody knews who wrote it, it’s like both songs has survived by mouth to ear for hundreds of years. Traditional is all you’ll find If you search for a songwriter…

    If you want to react to a song she a co-written and is sung by another swedish treasure you should react to Rikard Wolff "Pojken på månen". The lyrics are so sad and beautiful and Rikard had a special energy about him!

    Her voice is so unique and I love it! She made a duet with Eva Dahlgren, another of my favorite singers. This isn't the duet, but one of Eva's songs that I absolutely love. It's definitely worth listening to, but unfortunately I couldn't find a video where she performs it, only a studio version.

    Item? No, that's not a correct translation. Varan could mean ”the item”, but she sings ”varann” which is a shorter form of ”varandra”, meaning ”each other”.

    I have to comment on the song a little bit...
    Many Swedes who do not speak her metropolitan dialect (Stockholmska) have some problems with it.
    And that is how she pronounces the words in the chorus "Vem vet...".
    Sounds very "snotty".
    Otherwise a good song! Nice reaction.
