We took Mumbai Goa road trip in our Skoda Kushaq in Nov'22 & this video covers that trip in very details. We have all the information you'll ever need to know if you are planning to take the rad trip via NH48.
Complete Toll Booth Details:
Khalapur Toll Plaza : Rs. 203
Talegaon Toll Plaza : Rs. 67
Khed Shivapur Toll Plaza : Rs. 110
Anewadi Toll Plaza : Rs. 75
Tasawade Toll Plaza : Rs. 95
Kini Toll plaza : Rs. 90
Kognoli Toll Plaza : Rs. 60
Total Toll paid : Rs. 700 (each side)
Overall the roads are very good & the drive is nice. However there is Nipani Ajra link road patch which is very bad, terrible in fact. That spoils the travel to some extent. We have covered & shown that patch in this vlog.
But despite that we will still recommend this NH 48 route if you are travelling to Goa either from Mumbai or via Mumbai.

I traveled from same route NH 48 from Mumbai to Goa during May 2022 and had evening tea/ snacks at same Kamath hotel.
I traveled with family of 7 including children's and started from Mumbai 0845 & ET at Goa was showing 0930 pm .
We wanted to go via Belgavi but son took Nipoli ghat route.
When we on this route it was night 8 pm and same condition of road we faced .
On ghat it was 10 pm , no other vehicle were seen on road and my family got frightened , with both sides were very dark and praying for safe journey.
Any way by midnight reached Goa .
I was annoyed with my son , because I told him to take Belgavi route .
While returning , we took Belgavi route , since I am from Hyderabad.
Hum goa ja rahe hain.

@@shreedhartend3878 mumbai goa old highway jo kanyakumari tak jata hai lekin vo highway under work hai.
This is a correct highway to Goa and Kerla. Around 100 less distance. Should try and experience if don't know.
Don't travel form old mumbai goa highway work is yet to complete I travel with same highway to devgad it takes almost 17hrs to complete 450 km I was very exhausted.
Ya we imagined it that way so didn’t take the chance this time. When it’s done it will be best for Mumbai Goa
How is the road from Rajapur to Kudal. I am planning to take the Mumbai - Pune - Amba Ghat - Rajapur - Kankavli - Kudal.
@@gskulkarni15279 half of the 4 lane road work is done but still there are some few works remaining better to travel from mumbai pune via ponda ghat. Because of construction possibilities of accident chances is high.
What is the distance between Nipani and the point you met NH 66. I want to know the distance of rough patch road. Thanks
Rough patch road is between Nipani Arja link road which is around 13-15 kms
Use Phonda ghat road
Vada pav is not a good option. You should avoid eating carbs while long road trip. Especially when you are supposed to drive. Khana should not be the focus
Idli and dosas anyway for long trips ❤

Don't try it avoid road trip. Goa is nice but on the way to goa road condition very worst. Pls don't travel through car. The road side shine board not available on the way. No clear road. Pls use air travel only for peaceful travel experience. Once u visit by car by goa. U get afraid of the road. Pls travel before 3 o clock. Only other wise it might be a cave travel. Avoid amboli route. It's takes 80 km travel 6 hours during to its road condition. Use NH 748 only. Don't travel on SH. It tedicules😂
