    We're trying to surf tiny wakes with our hydrofoils. With the right foil, you can surf the 1st, and maybe even the 2nd wake of a jet ski, sea doo or Wave Runner. We wanted to see if we could take a wake shaper and enhance the wake of our Yamaha Wave Runner to allow us to surf many wakes back. We were pleasantly surprised with the results.
    Disclosure: Liquid Force sent us two wake shapers for testing. We were not paid to make this video or paid to promote this product, but we would like to thank the team at Liquid Force for giving us these two shapers. We do not receive a commission if you purchase from the link above. If you are interested in purchasing this product, please feel free to buy from your retailer of choice.
    Safety & Damage Warning: Please be careful installing and using this shaper. We found the watercraft harder to operate and it may cause damage to your watercraft if you operate at high speed or for too long with the shaper installed.

    Please 🙏 do a video on environmentally friendly wake surfing …. Shore wake causes the following;
    - increased erosion
    - undermines the bank
    - undermines roots of trees, shrubs, grasses that secure the soil
    - floods nests and tunnels of water living mammals and marsupials (in Australia), these critters have to relocate and open burrows become pipes for water to get in
    - undermines foundations of all the piers, docks and access paths, steps to the water - the neighbourhood may not appreciate the costly repairs they’ll be up for on account of your creating maximum wake for your fun.
    Solutions
    Keep well away from shorelines while waking
    If waking in confined areas keep to minimum wake possible.
    my thoughts! 💭

    Another great video man! I tried wake foiling last year and was hooked instantly. Just a couple weeks ago I received my first foil and it is identical to yours. I did a winters worth of researching and your channel and advice/tips are the best. What you do with your foil is basically the same thing that I’m in to. We have a skinny lake so it’s easy to get out there off the dock to snag a passing wake and we have a ski boat that makes small waves so I thought the 1150 sounded perfect. I was wondering if you have or are thinking of making a video about in water starts. I’ve been practicing dock starts and am getting a lot better but have been having issues figuring out deep water starts behind the boat. I’m not sure what the foil was I tried last year( probably a low aspect ratio foil) but that one was a breeze compared to my 1150.
    Cheers!

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  3 года назад

      It's not strange at all. We almost sacrificed a fuselage head to pull it off :) The math suggests it will be a big drag increase and a smaller lift increase, but worth exploring nonetheless. Thanks! One exists already. windfoilzone.com/horues-biplane-foil-concept/

    Is there actually a way to pull the brakes when foiling? Buddy of mine foiled a massive wave 1st roller behing our wurf boat and banged into the boat. Wakesurfing you step hard on the back foot, this slows you down, but how does it work when foiling?

    • @WakeThief
