Hey Dr3ad here,
these are the changes that affects these builds in 1.0
Minion Affixes are changing on suffix of weapons, we are getting flat damage instead of minion melee %, meaning we will have slightly less % damage for our wolves, but its a sidegrade.
Legendary Bite on Summon Wolf buffed significantly, now we get free base crit, making the gearing process insanely easy.
Howl now grants 25% more damage instead of increased %, huge buff.
Spell Leech was nerfed from 5% to 2%.
Twisted Heart went from 10-13% of your HP sacrificed to 5-8%. It is still insanely strong, just slightly less strong. The Lightning Blast Build utilized multiple different ward sources so you probably won't even feel the difference!
how are you sustaining mana on the arc lightning blaster?

Not sure if it changed, but it looks like Grand Spell Leech is from 5% to 3.5% not 2%. The regular Spell Leech (non-grand version) is went from 3% to 2%.
So considering all the lightning synergy added with Primalist, would it be worth going even more lightning based with the wolves? If that is possible?
The spell leech blessing is not from 5% to 2%. 5% was the old top roll on the empowered version, now that value is 3.5%. The actual values in the patch notes are from from 3.5 - 5% (old) to 2.2% - 3.5%(new) .
Hey Dr3ad here, so I am reserving this pinned comments for changes because Patch Notes come out on the 19th, i.e. tomorrow.
1st Change : Minion affixes are changing on the suffix of weapons, and that means the massive melee minion % damage affixes are being removed. This is a buff to the leveling, and a sidegrade for the endgame. Instead of using % damage early on, we cant stack actual melee flat physical on our weapons for our minions! In the endgame, we will no longer have that massive % melee damage on suffixes of weapons, but we will have Hybrid Lightning Penetration for minions, meaning we will be around the same damage. This does mean you will want to focus slightly more on % damage for your minions than before, but this is overall a buff to the leveling experience!

Edit: strong rec for setting up any loot filter to keep throwing damage items, it makes leveling Sentinel a pure JOY.

Ah, I have a runemaster and have yet to try that build. Should give it a go soon. The other two I have played and especially the paladin is fun.
Still not sure what I'm gonna play for launch, probably paladin. Or a warlock 😊

one build i loved during 0.95 that was amazing is cold dot werebear druid that is worth mentioning, nutty build assuming nothing has changed since.
I'll have to give this game a try, been on the fence for a while about it.
Great choice of builds! The Lightning Wolf build could potentially benefit from the shaman rework, since two of the new skills should be available to Beastmaster and also have great synergy with Lightning Wolves!

My only question after the patch notes is if Frost Wall is still the way to go for the lightning blast build. I admit I see no obvious alternative.

Would you say the lightning blast frost wall is a better starter than Frostbite frost claw RM?
The wall cool down is 12 sec which is completely kill this build , any suggestions to bring the lighting blast build back to life.thanks
Personally, I'm much more worried about being overwhelmed by menus and shortcuts than I am worried about messing up my build. Stuff like knowing which icons I can drag, which things I can left or right click and learning all sorts of shift modifiers is what I'm looking forward the most during your first stream on launch. I've played the game for a bit until level 15 just to learn the basics and I took a break to wait for launch.
About builds, I've heard that this is the rare type of game where you can go in blindly and still do ok as long as you have previous RPG experience and you pick up stuff that makes sense for what you want to do. I'll be playing the game completely blindly for a bit and then I'll pick up the skills that I liked the most and look up guides for them. I'll be starting with minions and I want to make a big army!
i already have a top one starter build. experience the freaking game by myself.
New player here. So I started the lightning blast build and took Closed Circuit along with maxing chains to 4-chains. It only chains to allies (like the tool tip says) and doesn’t chain to myself. Going one on one with bosses is slow going because it doesn’t chain at all. Is this a bug or is there another node I don’t have yet? Or did they nerf this at launch?

Honestly probably going to go with the Spin to Win Paladin, I've been playing a Spin to Win Void Knight and been enjoying it, although it seemed to be lacking something. The Paladin version seems to be just what I'd like.
What did you think void was lacking? I'm debating between these two as well.
it just didn't feel as strong. Part of it could be because I never got the apathy axe, but I couldn't get the damn thing to drop. It just felt kind of slow and lackluster once I got to empowered monos, it's great up until that point really.@@mikeworkman1759
I think the planners should show the gear you should aim for (ie not having Lightning Damage on the belt). I have a 98 pally playing the Warpath Pally build. While I believe it is a great build, I struggled as a new player to find optimal upgrades until I had more hours in the game and understood scaling and such.
I think Dr3ads builds are good I just don’t think they are laid out well for beginners which extend to league starters videos because those are mostly utilized by beginners.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't taking quadruple cast lightning blast be a waste with frost wall lightning blast pylons? Quadruple cast specifically says it will not trigger through other skills. Wouldn't taking spark charges be better?
So Spark Charges are not good unless you are focusing on them, as they do not get any of the more damage modifiers of Lightning blast, so there damage is very moot without investment. The quad cast is for yourself and for extra self chains for Closed Circuit. The Frost Wall LB's are just there for extra damage.
@@Dr3adful how does one focus on spark charges, besides the the nodes on the top right. Gear? Idols? Passives?
Pretty sure he casts it as well looking at the video in any case would move storm razer and volatile lighting over spark charges for a proc build.
I have played quite a while ago, how strong is flame reave compared to before?
Flame reave is still good! It got nerfed slightly but all you need to do is invest a slight amount of critical strike chance for it to work again!
@@Dr3adful I remember that in the past even without crit since it was stacking multipliers, you could just invest in flat damage and %damage (crit was just even better).

This is the one game I'd recommend going into blind, actually. Making builds is fun in this game.

1.0 has significant visual upgrades so it should yeah.

Closed circuit might be the most value for 1 skill point in the game. Imagine it in an actual group of players.
If anyone wants a poe experience, then the frost bow detonating arrow rogue is amazing.

Action RPG has a 1 button warlock build that uses chaotic fissures to proc a few other abilities and looks visually pleasing as well as 1 button

Kind of sad that the Sorcerer and Spellblade are left in the dust thanks to Runemaster.
I would be surprised if stuff with manascaling like lightning orb wasnt still best on sorcerer, and the melee stuff is definitely still best on spellblade (though my example for that was shatter strike, which you kinda need to be a spellblade to play at all ._.)
@@TheLhercam The only reason that you'd play those masteries is if you like the skills they offer, but that doesn't change the fact that you're gimping your own progress and playing an objectively worse class.

Have they improved their clunky Gamepad support and buggy Linux port yet? Last time I played LE on my Steam Deck it wasn’t a good experience.
Why does the DPS of the first build look like its unironically 10-20x that of the warpath build? Like I see you proccing 10k damage at literally the same speed the other build is proccing like 300-600 damage. Is this just you not showing the level so I cant see how powerful enemies are, or is this just a complete trash build compared to the first build?
Both builds are shown in high corruption (300-500 iirc but you can tell from the stats in the sidebar on the footage). Corruption scaling is a bit different at launch but this was very high corruption prelaunch so clearly good enough for that content. Damage numbers can be a bit misleading if one build is burstier or if monster defense's are higher. You do actually deal less damage in higher tier content.
First play though do yourself the favour and just play what you want. All classes and skills will get you to the end game.
This is nearly always true but like the title says: this is for people who *can't* decide what they want to play :P

@@Thekalllllllll no they were working on it for half year you can see that on 1.0 patch notes video that came out today
For a "normal" early access supporter the last year was a complete desaster! They favored social media stars/streamers/youtubers and gave them always earlier access and even exclusive access to new content (specialy with the last missing classes/subclasses before release) which made me flat out quit the game. I will not support those devs in any way going forward. And all the new content in the game on release will be unbalanced and maybe even broken. Good luck!
What makes you think that being a normal early access supporter means you also get to beta test? Early access is early access on a productive build. The "stars", streamers and youtubers play a beta version of the game to showcase it. This has been the case with a lot of games. Take your entitlement and go oneshot bosses in diablo 4 or something lol.
How, exactly, did that hurt you? You weren't promised anything. You get to play all of that in two days. Streamers and content creators actually contribute to the success of the game in a meaningful way. Besides your $35, you don't.
idk i dont think last epoch is as good as the other same type of games are out there . the story is kinda boring and the way u need to use multiple skills to deal optimal dmg is just not for me i guess i do hope others enjoy it tho ^^

It hasn't been "released for 5 years", it's literally coming out in 2 days. And you're comparing it to a game that has been out 11 years ago and has had dozens of leagues and patches and balancing and content added and tweaked and perfected. It's a weird and unfair comparison. But just go play PoE if that's what you want. Going on to a video for a game you openly dislike just to comment and say your personal favorite is better has strong "stop having fun and lookatmeeee" vibes.
@@NicholasGW I am not comparing, they are in 2 diffrent levels .i Just mention that it is in no way even close to PoE in quality and quantity and never will be. It's a 6/10 game , okish but nothing special

I have over 6000 hours in Path of Exile and a few hundred in Last Epoch and Last Epoch is miles better than PoE. They practically fixed every annoying thing PoE makes you do and build and gearing are way easier to test out and respec. Not only that but that's comparing the Beta version of Last Epoch, 1.0 has alot of improvements both visually and the 2 guilds for acquiring gear from trade or from finding it yourself without trade.
