This is what happens to games that are speedrun and glitch hunted for like 2+ decades. It's the same stuff if you look at an original Super Mario Bros speedrun, precise subpixel tricks and timings that save fractions of seconds. This isn't even close to the most broken OoT stuff.
@ in a few words, it is OoT modded in a way that items, dungeons, houses, bossfights, songs, pots, etc are randomly shuffled around, and you get to be creative and strategic to beat the game fast. (Community racing on randomizers is popular as well)
@@BananaMana69randomizers shuffle loading zones, chests, item unlocks, and more. for example, entering the shop in kokiri forest might take you to the shadow temple, which might have a chest that gives you an ocarina instead of a door key. because there are certain items that are required for progression, not all randomizers are possible without glitches. the most notable example is zelda's lullaby being locked behind zelda's lullaby, or in other words, needing to have zelda's lullaby to reach the point in the randomizer where you get zelda's lullaby, which is obviously not possible without using glitches to bypass the requirement.
57:52 According to a different short they did, it’s actually because the hit deals 4x damage to them. The kokiri sword which deals 1 damage still kills them in one hit, despite them having 8 hp.
you can also shoot the fire temple boss under the arena before starting the fight. there's also a glitch to defeat the shadow temple boss before dropping in the hole but i don't know the specifics

The real explanation is that the texture was part of a "where in the world is this?" community challenge that many people still haven't found, so saying where it is would spoil that puzzle.
I learned about 20+ heart containers when I used a GameShark to start a file with 20 hearts. Every boss fight or four heart pieces yielded an additional container just the same. Neat.

Those giant Stalchildren are kind of terrifying, especially the implication that there must be Stalfos large enough to have such large children.
Something even weirder about the hidden heart at 5:06 is it’s still there in Master Quest, but it’s invisible.
