We've neglected our grill for too long and now it's time to get to work and clean it up! In this video, we go over each step and use different products to clean up gunk that's built up over the years. Our Weber Spirit grill didn't deserve to be treated this way 😭
We clean up the inside and outside, cast iron and steel grates, and even install new Weber grill flavorizer bars (grill tents)!

THIS is what I need! My grill looks exactly like this as I've been terrible at maintaining it. Thanks for the tips! Time to get to work...
So the outside weber cleaner sucks. But the simple green bbq did pretty well
Excellent video. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Im thinking of going around and asking people if I can clean there BBQ's for them. What products do you recommend to me?
Good
You missed the dripping on the front lol
I notice you didn’t clean the door on the front bottom part of the BBQ, and that there appears to be streaks on it. This happened with my Weber Spirit (exact same BBQ as you have) when I tried to clean it with a degreaser - it left streaks on that front door part and for the LIFE of me I cannot get them off. No matter what I try. Any suggestions? Have yours come off?
On mine it looks like discolored paint and it won't come off unfortunately.
What do you use to nuteralize the simple green?
Just rinse it down with water
I think you put your grates upside down?
Doesn’t the flat side go down, triangular side up?
Well... you had me wondering so I ended up double checking with Weber. The flat side does go up with cast iron grates. It gives the best grill marks and has better contact with the food. I'm sure either way will be fine though honestly
@@TopHomeowner Exactly, you want maximum metal contact with the food. That's what will give the food that browning. The open space will allow the flavoriser bars to bring up that smokiness so you're getting the best of both worlds. Thin contact will greatly reduce that crusty sear, so flat up is usually preferred
