- In this video we review the 2021 GMC Yukon taking it on a 5,000 mile road trip from Florida to Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, testing it in different environments. Next week we will continue our travel videos as we post the New Hampshire video. For licensing or stock footage of this video contact info@TampaAerialMedia.com
We have same vehicle and love it. Our 3rd Yukon since 1999! They last, comfort, sturdy, versatile, legroom, perfect for Road trips👍 Only negative is the side view mirrors are too small for vehicle. The sleek design failed in this area. If we could swap them out we would.
Nice , very nice. So easy to listen to. Excellent review without the fluff. Refreshing not to see the “this is perfect “ with a push to sell. Actually enjoyed the trip.
Thankyou for the nice words, I appreciate that feedback.
Best Yukon review hand down. It is abusively funny when ppl review interior nav rearview mirror on these vehicles that are created to be used
Thankyou for the nice words.
Damn right! The 6.2 is a whole different monster when you have to get to a free spot on freeway traffic.
Beautiful video....definitely considering this 💯
Thank you for this review. Appreciate the owner's reviews!
Thankyou for the feedback
Exceptional video and review SUBSCRIBED !!!!!!!! Look forward to future content
Love the video, great summary. Just curious what year was your previous Yukon?
Previous was a 2019 so it also had a 10speed Transmission
We just bought our 2021 Yukon Denali and it's just how you described. #tampaaerialmedia did you get the 3rd row mat with your all-weather floor mats?
Yea I did, but they don't stay down. They seem pretty flimsy & lightweight, but the 1st and 2nd row mats work great.
Great review!!! Did you get the Ultimate Package? If you did I noticed you didn’t have the Rear Seat Media System mounted.
No got the Premium Package because It didn't want the rearseat media. I think it has all what the Ultimate package minus the rear seat media.
Very nice review Sir!
Man you kind of sound like Brent Spiner. also i enjoy ur videos
I'm late to this video, but did you fuel up with 93 octane fuel (premium) or 87 (regular)?
I'm considering the 6.2L but I'm hesitant with the premium fuel being recommended 🤷🏼
yea it reccomends 93 octane, which was a major reason why I traded it in for a Ram 1500 diesel. Had no issues with the Yukon other than mpg, but I find I have the same luxory with the Ram 1500 and have all the room I need and far better gas mileage.
Great practical review.
Thankyou Afzal.
Have you had any engine problems with yours? I'm in FB groups and there are several posts about engine lifter failures. Mostly on the 5.3L engines and Tahoes though, but they're basically the same. I don't want to drop so much money if these vehicles have a bunch of issues.
I have not had any engine issues at all. Have 10,000 miles on it. My only complaint is Gas mileage is not as good as previous model.
@@TampaAerialMedia Awesome. Thank you. :)
You’re one the best videoer 👍👌
Thankyou for the nice words Hartmut
Thank you for real world review
bought a 2021 yukon denali a few months back and a few things me and my wife hate
1. Running boards fold out too slow and I can't find a way to speed them up.
2. From time to time when we start the vehicle up and go to reverse...this weird warning comes on the screen and cameras wont work. Dealer doesn't know how to fix that issue
3. I wish the fuel tank was bigger to get more range lol but not a huge deal
4. Steering wheel leather is cheap and already wearing out
5. When you have cruise control set and sensor picks up anything...the damn brakes slam on lol and yes I lowered the sensor range, etc.
Other than those few things...We love it! but the running boards piss me off more than anything
True, yea I a gree, I tend to be in a hurry alot, and its frustrating when you step out and the steps are out yet.
@@TampaAerialMedia I was just thinking about this chat as it was raining and I got into our Yukon with the dangerously slow opening running boards lol Its absolutely ridiculous how slow they are.
I want that car!!😳
Me too
What did you get on a tank of fuel on high way miles. Can get 500 miles or more on tank of fuel? I know the 2021 have little smaller fuel tank.
About the most on 1 tank I think was around 450-460. That is the one slight disappointment. The mpg is lower than the previous model.
very cool, looking forward to more videos
Thankyou Abdel, we'll be posting weekly for the next 4 weeks.
Is that dark sky metallic?
Yes it is. It wasn't really a color that I had wanted, but I like it now. Depending on how the light hits it, sometimes it looks grey sometimes it looks more blue.
THUMBS UP: for the Review.
THUMBS DOWN: for the Girl Dog.
Bella needs a harness and to be buckled in. No reason to risk her getting hurt and she can still move around enough.
No, she is pretty smart, if she stands up, I have a arm around her. She would never like a harness, she lives for that wind on her face.
U must be back in Florida now right?
yep you guessed it. Went from Winter back to Summer
@@TampaAerialMedia there about to head into winter this weekend lol snow
Wonderful!
really like the new Yukon, but for now love my 2020 RAM 1500. Drives way smaller then it is.
yea I was close to buying the Ram 2020 instead, really like the interior.
@@TampaAerialMedia Whats your opinion on the button shifter. I personally think its kinda annoying especially that they click in different directions depending on where you going, maybe its just something you get used to after a while
Does this Denali have air ride suspension?
If you mean where you can adjust the height of the vehicle now.
Awesome bro, are you on Instagram?
yes it @Tampa_Aerial_Media. Just recently started to post regularly on instagram, alot of our New England Pics being posted there.
need more reviews like this...stop with the B.S 10 minutes press drive...
The title of your video is misleading. I’d rather see a road-trip on the SLT instead of the Denali.
Things I hate about my '21 Yukon that no one tells you: Dashboard shifting sucks if you live in the mountains. Makes dowshifting safely in the hills impossible, so the breaks get worked hard. The foil HUD wrap constantly shines on the windshield, even when not in use. Terrible design. I cover it with black paper and never use it. It will actually blind you in certain lighting conditions. The camera rearview mirror is terrible. It's a hard focus shift and my eyes can't adjust quick enough, making a simple glance impossible so your eyes are off the road longer. The safety features are ridiculously sensitive. Just passing a vehicle in the opposite direction will often set them off. Incredibly annoying. There are many many stupid engineering mistakes that I'd fire people over. They drive me crazy because there are simple solutions. IMHO, they've become far too complicated. Simplicity is always best, and the Yukon is anything but simplistic. Engineers are in way over their heads.
I don't understand why they can't install tilt second row seats like in the redesigned enclave and latch attachments in the 3rd row. Things so simple.
@@monicaalexandra2057 I tried to get captain chairs in the 2nd row, but was told they weren't available, which I later learned is a lie. The dealer just wanted to push the vehicle he had in stock and not go through the hassle of a special order.
I'll take the diesel hands down .
yep that mpg on the Diesel is tremendous.
Such a beautiful drive!
I was about to give you a A+ rating until I saw all the reckless driving habits……..I wonder what Bella would say after she was turned into a panini between your chest and the drivers airbag…..don’t say it can’t happen….it can. Yes your not the only one being stupid to do it but still wrong and unsafe. Most likely illegal but then again doesn’t have to be illegal to be stupid. As a media company promotional video no excuses. Same deal with the phone should be used with hands free Bluetooth pairing only. You have factory navigation use it. ACP/AA is nice but still can be a distraction.
That is my daily rant on safety and with that out of the way…
Review on the technical aspects of the vehicle was informative and helpful. A good long road trip with varying driving conditions to get a decent average of both speed and MPG. 14-19 is about normal for that size of vehicle. Good to see that you slightly bettered the EPA and also provided the disclaimer of extended idle time for traffic and drone shots. Yukon/Tahoe is my first choice in rentals especially winter when I like the 4X4 option to head back east. Yukon/Tahoe provides decent space, good power, comfortable and smooth, quiet ride even at highway speeds. I had no problem keeping low 20’s MPG even with a steady state 75-80 cruising speed….(Eastern TX and even Arkansas has a fairly decent stretch of 75MPH limits). Heading for a North Departure out of DFW and most of I-44 between Tulsa and the Missouri border apparently just got upgraded to 80MPH.
Driving the Yukon is nice, fairly easy, decent ride, view and you look good doing it. I like the space in fact last rental I had very limited cargo. I folddd both 2nd and 3rd row flat and my mid size Shepherd mix had about 2/3’s of the back to stretch, eat, sleep etc…. The seatbelt tether was long enough to let him stretch but still keep him safe in emergency braking which even with adaptive cruise idiots still tried to cut me off but that’s another story.
Safety notes aside, good video and good details about driving conditions and environment.
I am not reckless, my mind is always on the road. The Garmin GPS is much safer that factory GPS sits higher up, its why I use it. I pay attention to the road far better than most people with passengers who turn their heads to the person they are talking to. My eyes are on the road not on Bella. Bella lives for the wind on her face.
GMC Goofs Manufacturing Crap
Get to the point !!! Ugh
I think we did
