Original Disney villain song vs VoicePlay's version

Side-by -side comparison of Disney's Friends on the Other Side from Princess and the Frog, and VoicePlay's music video of the same song.
VoicePlay clearly tried to do a close re-enacting of the movie scene, with some minor changes. They did a great job with the costumes of the main characters, and a very creative job with the costumes of Geoff and Layne ( as friends from the other side, haha).
I didn't include the middle part (the card reading scene), to keep the video a bit more manageable in length, and instead jumped to the end where the song ramps up again.
This video was a suggestion by Felicity McDonald, one of the viewers on my channel, who commented on my last comparison video. If anyone has ideas/suggestions to videos I could make, feel free to drop them in the comments, and if they peak my interest I might just make them! 😄

Voiceplay does Disney so well. I admit I'm biased, I like Voiceplay better.
No Question - Our VoicePlayers are such skilled actors! Not just with voice but with body language and facial expressions as well. Every gesture (costumes, props & lighting, too) is perfectly planned to further the story. I love this one!☺️😂❤️
J nailed it ❣️ I’d follow him, believe him. The Disney dude comes across as too slimy.
I especially love Geoff's bass drop right before "Are you ready?" Makes that transition so much more dramatic than the original.
There is so much more depth to VP's rendition of the song, even without the visuals. The arrangement, the harmonies, the voices are outstanding. They are collectively so very talented and skilled!
Next add the acting, choreography, costumes, props, lighting, camera work, to the equation and it really doesn't even compete with the animation. To be fair, then it's apples and oranges...
Again, VoicePlay for the win 1,000%. I love these side-by-side comparisons, they really show how fantastic VP is, what an amazing job they do with arrangements and vocals, how much attention they put into every detail, makeup, costumes, props. They really are the best!❣

I really see now what people were saying about VoicePlay's version not being as creepy from the get go like the original. But honestly, I think it makes the drop after they accept hit that much harder.
My jaw drops every time I see VoicePlay’s version of this! It’s sooo much superior musically and it’s incredible how they captured the spirit visually. Totally blows me away!

This is such a fascinating entry from voiceplay. They went for a full on shot for shot recreation, and still managed to make it better.
For a moment there, I thought one of the dolls in the original was Scrump.
I am not a fan of Disney but I do enjoy VoicePlay's covers. I had to go back and listen to the full version.

Another STELLAR video Huldro, our Voiceplay Valkyrie! You know, it just occurred to me to wonder. Is a bone through the nose associated much with Voodoo? Because I associate it as more of a tribal thing. But anyway, this was the song that inspired me to make a playlist of all the songs Cesar and J. None are BOTH in! My favorite lineup! (But who am I kidding, I love all of them!) 💙
Love the side by sides! I have to admit, I haven't seen a lot of the more recent (and I'm counting that in decades) Disney. So seeing it this way is great!!

I have to giggle every time watching: the silver finger bones dangling off Geoff's shoulders, that plastic chicken (dog toy?) in J's hand and Eli silently mouthing OUCH, when J's elbow contacts his ribs... and so many things more... also love the BTS! 😂🎉❤
The chicken VP uses is actually Hei Hei from Moana.

Wow you're quick with these! So pleased you liked my suggestion! I actually did a little visual comparison myself a few months back, comparing the quick shots during the "I got voodoo I got hoodoo I got things I ain't even tried!" line of both versions, just using screenshots, and honestly VoicePlay *nailed it!* But it's very cool to be able to have a proper comparison video, thank you!

This version is better, in my opinion, due to their ability to multiply one single Disney's character into five of them. J. None nailed it in every possible way. Cesar looks really like the prince himself and the 'friends from the other side" are very, very scary. Love this cover, it's one of my favorites.

I always really like the Disney versions, but then I hear VoicePlay's version and after that, the Disney version seems flat in comparison. Even with an amazing song like "We Don't Talk About Bruno."
