18:51 I just realized the perfect Pokémon for Brycen's team to represent both his Ice-type theme and the Masked Man of Reality and Phantasm... *Weavile!* It's a Dark/Ice type, and you can catch Sneasel in Giant Chasm, which also houses a powerful Ice-type Pokémon. He also uses one in Brycen-Man Strikes Back Harder!
I like how you would add Mewtwo as Giovanni’s ace. A good added stipulation would be that after you defeat him he releases Mewtwo which goes back into hiding in Cerulean Cave. Between the time you defeat Giovanni and become the Champion police officers start blocking crowding around Cerulean cave saying ‘the powerful Pokémon has returned! please step back’ Once you are champion they recognise you as being strong enough to go in and confront it.
Am I the only one that would have wanted Giovanni to be a Normal type gym leader? His team could have been Raticate, Tauros, Dodrio, Snorlax, Persian, and Kangaskhan. I think that this could have actually been a fairly threatening team for Gen 1 particularly with all of the crits from Persian and Raticate. Tauros and Dodrio I think sort of fit the mob boss aesthetic and hit pretty fast and hard. Kangaskhan because he has one in every other fight. Snorlax is if he was going to have a 6th mon... What did you think he would have Clefable, Chansey, or Wigglytuff???
It'd also work with him being a mafia boss! Using normal pokemon in his gym would make him appear like a more "normal" kinda guy (disguise)..and it generally isn't smart to use your gym team for crime 💀like they're gonna at some point be like "hey doesn't the crime boss use the same team as the last gym?? Hmmmm"

Amazing video!! Proud of your time invested and effort. Maybe if I could suggest some changes or just help u, I would say: 1. for Misty, having Seel instead of Magikarp. 2. Giovanni could start the battle with Persian. 3. Changing one of Falkner's Hoothoot and Pidgey for Natu and Murkrow. 4. Giving Chuck a Heracross for one of his Tyrogue and 5. giving to Clair a Gyarados instead of Dragonite (too much strong in my opinion). Also, for Sinnoh, just maybe change Gardenia's Burmy for grass type-Wormadam and Byron's second fossil for Magneton. (Anyway those teams are pretty great). Last, I'd change one of Nanu's alolan Persian for Umbreon/Honchkrow/Sharpedo(?). I know he has a lot of alolan Meowth in the anime but just for avoiding repeats.
Falkner should have a Natu instead of a second Pidgey, another small bird found right next door in the Ruins of Alph I'd give Jasmine a Fortress instead of Ampharos. Amphy's got a job to do, can't be leaving post every time someone wants to challenge the gym.
Actually there's a another Pokemon that would also work for Brycen as not only would it connect to his Gym's Theme but the fact he's a also Movie Star who works with a certain Psychic Gym Leader and additionally with this Pokemon alone, he would've actually been able to keep both his Pokestar Studios job and Gym Leader Duties easily and this Pokemon is surprisingly enough Jynx. I'm not kidding because of a few reasons: * It both a Ice and Psychic-Type which also references the fact that both Brycen and Sabrina works in Pokestar Studios either by themselves or together when it comes filming Movies both in the B2W2 Games and Manga Adaptations respectively. * It can learn a very important Move in this situation that when it's Transferred from One Generation to the Other, it can also be used outside of Battle and what Move fits that description? Easy. The One and Only Teleport and boy can this One Move be very useful especially with what we've seen when we either as the Player Character use it multiple times around various Games or seen other people do it by themselves/with Pokemon which happened in not only in the Games(plus Some Spinoffs) but also in famously in the Anime Series and Manga Adaptations plus I can definitely see a Story where Sabrina and Brycen meet maybe in Hollywood and eventually strike up a Friendship when they talk about their Regional Origins which Sabrina learns all about Pokestar Studios and the Amazing Movies that they make there eventually deciding on becoming a Actress plus with her many Psychic Abilities that we Pokemon Fans seen over the years, I could definitely believe that she could have a balance between Acting and being a Gym Leader. However, the same could not be said for Brycen in the Games,Manga Adaptations and Anime Series which either have him give up his Movie Star Career at Pokestar Studios or Retire being The Ice-Type Icirrus City Gym Leader. Now here's where I'm going to change things for Brycen for the Better: Instead of letting Brycen choose between his Career and Being a Gym Leader, she gifts him a Third and Better Option through a Jynx from the Kanto Region and thanks to the Transfer System between Generations, it learns Teleport as one of the New Moves it couldn't easily learn beforehand and it's thanks to this his dilemma would be immediately resolved allowing him to keep both his Pokestar Studios Career and His Gym Leader position plus it's something that really should've happened in the first place especially since it was likely that Brycen was the one who brought her into the Acting Scene so why not help out a Fellow Actor/Gym Leader. The solution was not that hard to figure out. It's better to think outside the box. Well what do you think about all of this?
I feel like brawly having an omanyte would be cool. It would add more of a challenge for the players. Since you couldn't just sweep his team with a flying type

The reason why Clemont's in game inventions blow up is because there are part of the magnaton line there which are known for making electronics go haywire.
I would have switched the second Geodude for the Alolan one, considering you took the Anime into consideration and Brock has been to Alola in the anime (And yes... i know he has been to Galar as well... but Alolan Geodude is a Pokemon that came from a Kanto line, so i think its more fitting for him and its a way to avoid doubling up on a pokemon for him at least its avoidable unlike with Surge, since you obviously go for native Pokemon only, which is totally okay). I would do the same for Giovanni, give him Alola Dugtrio instead of Rhyhorn (I doubt it would change much power wise), as a nod to the Ultra games. I would replace one of the Dragonair with Gyarados for Clair, considering she has a Gyarados in the anime. I would give Allister a member of the Duskull line... since their mask is exactly the same, so Allister would relate to Duskull.
I notice that he was keeping the Pokémon to what was available at time of their first appearance, and wasn’t replacing any members, only filling empty slots.

Electabuzz can only be found in the Power Plant in Red and it's remakes. And that place is accessible from Cerulean City. So it would be too far to get it, adding in powerscaling since Surge is the third gym to be challenged. So no Electabuzz for him at that stage.

I think Persian would be better for Giovanni, balance wise, as Mewtwo was broken in Gen 1. Also, Clay doesn't use rock types, he uses ground types, so Gigalith and Remorade wouldn't fit at all.
Clay also isn't a cowboy..he's just someone who enjoys the cowboy aesthetic and stuff; basically he dresses and talks how he THINKS cowboys did, he's a cowboy fanboy..not a real cowboy. So remorade wouldn't really make sense anyways
Watching this video, I realized how bad the level curve in Johto is. The levels of Morty's team in HGSS, the 4th gym, are about the same as Gardenia's team and she is the second in her games.
I say that each of the gym leaders after the 4th at least in kalos should use mega evolution, besides you get introduced to it after you beat korina so at least after ramos, they should get mega evolution, clemont would use mega manetric, valire would use mega mawlie, Olympia would use either mega medicham, or mega alakzam, and wulfric would use his abomasnow now a mega, and as for the elite four, mega ampharos, or garchomp, mega scizor, mega blastoise, and mega houndoom.
I wish for at least one generation game freak would give us themed gyms instead of type based gyms like a sound based gym where all the Pokémon use sound moves or a steam gym where the gym leader uses Pokémon that are water and fire or Pokémon that would be around steam like a industrial Pokémon but my favorite idea is to have another twin double battle gym leader where one uses one type and one uses the other
Gotta disagree on the Finizen for Kofu if you’re giving him the Tatsugiri. I’d have thought Dodonzo would make more sense. Partly for the link between the two and the colour theming of Kofus face fuzz
Also... 1) Gym leaders should show off pokemon from their region. Period. End of story. 2) All pokemon on their roster should be found in the games. You have some leaders that violate this. 3) If at all possible, gym leaders should not have 2 pokemon from the same evolutionary line/duplicate pokemon. 4) Gym leaders, in general, should not use pokemon not of their type. I think this even goes for Paldea. Tera into another type. 5) I would also avoid giving gym leaders pokemon that overlap with another leaders ace. Detracts to much from their uniqueness. You did not do moves/items for this video, but I think gym leaders should have access to egg moves (and some other TMs based on when they are fought, no giving Brock EQ. They are experts and have probably bred their team to be as strong as it can be. Some of my favorites for this video: Whitney, Grant, Valerie, and basically all of the Paldean gym leaders.
I was at first intrigued by this idea, but you decided to keep them at their respective power levels instead of leveling them all up so now I'm not interested in the rest of this video. I only came to see what team you'd give Misty. 😎
Is it just me that finds it weird that tate and liza dont have any of the ralts line. Especially in the remakes where ine could have a gallade and the other a gardevoir to work with the double battle theme

For the gen 1 teams I suggest checking out pokemon yellow. Most gym leaders have completely different teams.

I say that each of the gym leaders after the 4th at least in kalos should use mega evolution, besides you get introduced to it after you beat korina so at least after ramos, they should get mega evolution, clemont would use mega manetric, valire would use mega mawlie, Olympia would use either mega medicham, or mega alakzam, and wulfric would use his abomasnow now a mega, and as for the elite four, mega ampharos, or garchomp, mega scizor, mega blastoise, and mega houndoom.
I wish for at least one generation game freak would give us themed gyms instead of type based gyms like a sound based gym where all the Pokémon use sound moves or a steam gym where the gym leader uses Pokémon that are water and fire or Pokémon that would be around steam like a industrial Pokémon but my favorite idea is to have another twin double battle gym leader where one uses one type and one uses the other

Also...
1) Gym leaders should show off pokemon from their region. Period. End of story.
2) All pokemon on their roster should be found in the games. You have some leaders that violate this.
3) If at all possible, gym leaders should not have 2 pokemon from the same evolutionary line/duplicate pokemon.
4) Gym leaders, in general, should not use pokemon not of their type. I think this even goes for Paldea. Tera into another type.
5) I would also avoid giving gym leaders pokemon that overlap with another leaders ace. Detracts to much from their uniqueness.
You did not do moves/items for this video, but I think gym leaders should have access to egg moves (and some other TMs based on when they are fought, no giving Brock EQ. They are experts and have probably bred their team to be as strong as it can be.
Some of my favorites for this video: Whitney, Grant, Valerie, and basically all of the Paldean gym leaders.
