Silver hated Team Rocket but him becoming a gym leader at the end would be cool but instead of bad pokemon he would use friendship evo’s and his starter and give you the move return to show how much he has grow from the start
If you've ever played the ROM hack Pokemon Prism, Silver gets his own gym with mainly trade and friendship evos (The gym is a prison lol). He actually gives you the move Flash (a TM in that game), the move he got from the sage who told him he needed to treat his Pokemon better
Well technically it’s possible that the 9th gym in Gen 1 was in the cut town south of Celadon city, I think if my research on prototype data is correct Giovanni would have been that leader.
Don't know if you know, so just want to inform you :) There are optional gyms in the anime. For Galar, I was thinking one of the two Stow-On-Side Gym leaders would have sufficed as there technically are 10 gym leaders in Galar if you count the 2 that swap places with one another depending the version. So I would pick one of the 2 gym leaders that arnt being used as the 9th gym leader for Galar and place him or her out on either the Isle of Armor or the Crown Tundra. Or a small area out in the Wild Area for their gym.
Some of the best fan stories i read include gyms for ALL types or the types the REGION localized it’s gives more open world feel and proper reason why some leaders like Misty can take breaks each year for traveling or anything.
dobbs medicham is aura sentitive, because on his platinum, black and white 1 and 2 pokedex says: "It gains the ability to see the aura of its opponents by honing its mind through starvation".
I think it would’ve been better to say for Paldea we’d finally have another rainbow type gym leader like Blue. Since Paldea already has every type covered having a post game rainbow type gym would’ve been really cool especially since it’s only the second time to ever happen in the series and hasn’t happened in like 22 years (not counting remakes).
Tbh I can't see Silver as the equivalent of Giovanni for Jotho. Since his whole Journey basically mentioned, that he doesn't like Team Rocket. And the whole Scene with his Father wouldn't make much sense either. I would rather maybe put Archer into this Gym. Or if you wanna go with a Connection to Giovanni and Silver, Ariana.
The only issue I see with having Silver be a gym leader associated with Team Rocket is the fact that he hates Team Rocket. Yeah, Giovanni is the kid's dad, but Silver despised his dad for leaving and Team Rocket for taking his dad from him. Don't just gloss over the fact that you're basically told in-game that Silver hates Team Rocket.
It would be awesome to have more optional Gyms to battle against in the game. Since it’s have been proven there are more than eight Gyms in the anime to battle against.
I would have made the Paldea gym leader be rock type because every other type has a type specialist (all the titans are covered by the elite four except for rock)
Some fangames like pokemon reborn add 18 gyms, with 1 for each type. While this does stretch out the story, if official pokemon games added optional gyms out of 18 you could pick say 10 to complete, and face the rest in postgame with level scaling, that would be awesome.
I think Eusine could've been a cool Water type Gym Leader for Gen 2, and for Gen 3 I think it would've been nice to have a Ground Gym Leader in Lilycove City (maybe Scott since Lilycove City is just a boat ride away from the Battle Frontier?).
In the anime or manga it’s shown that there’s more than 8 gyms coz there’s a scene where blue/Gary (for the respectable thing) show their badges, which not all of them are recognisable
Gym Concept: Neptune City Gym. Water Gym. Seventh badge. (Mid to Late 50’s with a Lv63 Level cap for self imposed challenges). the gym would be a mix of Crusher Wake’s gym Puzzle and Volkner’s Puzzle, except with a Underwater cave with 3 levels, forcing you to use Dive in order to Progress in addition to solving the puzzle. Pokemon (Theme: Water Starters with Levels = the Gen they are introduced in): Blastoise Lv 51 Primarina Lv58 Quaquavall Lv 59 Empoleon Lv 54 Greninja Lv 56 and Swampert Lv63 TM: Hydro Cannon All with Hidden Abilities, due to being the co-creator of the Connection to the Dream for the Region, and It’ll be more of a challenge. the TM is just a reference to the Move Tutor that gives the Move to a Water Starter.

Also for a Grass type take on the Gym idea. Frenzy Plant TM and the Gym holds the Gaia Badge, and it has you traverse a Jungle that takes the form of a Aztec like Temple where you have to use Cut and Surf (No HM use required) in order to get from Switch to Switch in order to unlock the path, almost Surge Style but more stylized like Erika’s Gen 7 gym and almost similar to Bugsy’s gym in gen 4 in how straight forward the gym is. Wood Hammer, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Synthesis) Serperior Lv55 (Leaf Storm, Dragon Pulse, Hidden Power (Ground), and Frenzy Plant) Meowscara Lv59 (Physical Set. Flower Trick, U-Turn, Knock Off, and Thunder Punch) Venusaur Lv61 (Sleep Powder user with Growth Set up to power up it’s Sludge Bomb/Wave and Giga Drain. Black Sludge)
I really like the ball guy gym idea and the badge fits perfectly. He could be a tutorial of sorts or warm up to gyms. I want to know what extra 2 gym badges that Gary had were. That guy was so cool he had badges that weren't even necessary to enter the league. I'm glad we now have 18 badges (technically) even though 10 are not from gyms it's still cool to have a challenge for each type.
For XY. I love ur gym leader pick! would be cool if they had the gym be the Battle Chateau. Also make it to wear after being defeated he leaves and the battle chateau turns back to normal. It would make sense for the other gym leaders being their to rematch as you could say they were checking in on their fellow gym leader that they hadn't herd from in a while. Even bring him back every so often as he was off training and wants to rematch to see if he is strong enough.
I think these fit better. Gen 3 would benefit from a Ground type as there is a water gym, something to represent Groudon, put it Fallarbor town right by the soot route. Gen 4 A bug type gym, remove Aaron from the Elite and put him as the 3rd/4th gym leader in Solaceon Town. Make the first e4 member a Flying type user. Gen 6 is missing Dark type. Again missing a type that represents one of the legendaries. put in Dendemille Town or Couriway Town, Leader uses a Pangoro. Gen 8 I would make the Pokeball guy's team be Normal type with round pokemon like Wooloo.
Larry seems so bland to me. Makes it feel like he doesnt enjoy being a gym leader or an elite four member. Every other gym leader or elite four member seems to enjoy their roles or status.
This video is awesome and super creative! There should be gym leaders with at least one shin6! Why has there never been a gym leader with a shiny Pokemon!
Technically if we look back at the generation 1 anime Gary shows off that he's beaten 10 gyms so there is definitely more then 8 gyms in each region we just don't see them
I'd say missed oppertunity to put Ms Tyme as rock gym leader for Paldea, as if she never quit! It could be another fun family dynamic considering her being a sister to Ryme!
If I were to create a 9 gym for Kanto it would be located in Pallet Town, the leader would be the protagonist's father or former Kanto champion and the type would be flying
3:17 honestly silver as a gym leader wouldn't make sense in the events of gold silver and crystal because he is already the rival, i think archer should be the gym leader
Unova technically has ten unique gym badges and eleven gym leaders across the generation five games. It would be interesting for if a Black and White remake is made for the player to choose eight of the ten badges to obtain that they need to obtain in order to take on the Pokémon League.
My 9th Gym Leaders, I allowed myself to use Regional forms & later introduced evolutions of Pokemon that are found in the region. Kanto- Leaf/Green(Fairy), Her Team: Wigglytuff, Clefable, Sylveon, Alolan Nintales, Galarian Weezing & Glarian Rapidash. I don't have a reason for Leaf being a gym Leader I just like this idea of her becoming one Johto- Silver(Dark), His Team: Umbreon, Houndoom, Honchkrow, Weavile, Alolan Muk & Tyranitar. Same reasons as Dobbs says Hoenn- Wally(Grass), His Team: Leafeon, Ludicolo, Tropius, Shiftry, Vileplume & Sceptile. Hoenn was made to have a Grass Gym, I couldn't think of another character to be the Gym Leader. Sinnoh- Buck(Poison), His Team: Toxicroak, Crobat, Drapion, Skuntank & Nidoking. He just gives me Gym Leader Vibes. Unova- Emmet(Steel), His Team: Magnezone, Scizor, Aggron, Excadrill & Klinklang. Kalos- Dexio & Sina(Ghost), Their team: Gengar(Mega, Dexio's), Banette(Mega, Sina's), Trevannt(Dexio's), Gourgeist(Sina's), Dusknoir(Dexio's) & Jellicent(Female, Sina's) There's the whole Ghost cabin & girl thing in Kalos. Since their Sycamore's researchers I think they would look into it & they are double battle Gym Leaders. Alola- Wicke(Ice), Her Team: Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Sandslash, Glaceon, Froslass & Walrein. Ice is the only Specialty not used in Alola. Galar- Sonia(Electric), Her Team: Boltund, Electivire, Toxtricity, Alolan Raichu & Dracozolt. Yes she became the Professor of the Region, but she was a trainer & Leon's Rival. Since we only see her have a Yamper, she's Electric. Paldea- Arven(Rock), His Team: Garganacl, Klawf, Glimmora, Drednaw & Lycanroc(Dusk). So I feel like he would do his one Research like his parents & use Rock Types, also Rock isn't used by a Trainer in Paldea.
What about guardevoir and or garlade since ralts it‘s the Emotion Pokémon which for sure it‘s also More linked to the aura itself also absol since it can sense cathastrophical Events which Makes it More sensitive to the Power of the world those 2 would also be a great fit for the lucario kingdom gym also giveing them a better type variety
there was a 9th gym in the anime though it was never shown the badge was, Gary Oak had a badge from said gym. remember he did not receive the badge from Viridian city and still made it to the Pokémon league. scratch that there were at least 3 additional gyms in kanto in the anime as Gary had 10 badges without the one from viridian city
For Kanto and Johto, I think a dark type and fairy type gym would work best. I don't know which one to put in each region. With the 2 extra gyms, all 18 types would have exactly one gym in the entire "Kanjoh area". Literally 2 minutes later edit: I agree that the lake of rage would have made for a good dark type gym, which means putting a fairy type gym in Kanto somewhere...
It’ll be cool if the games had hidden/secret gyms. Some of which would have Pokémon with types that is unique only to that gym. Example: A Pikachu that’s a flying type (not talking about tera). Maybe a gym that is leveled to your level +10. That way the leader will always be stronger then you, level 100 will make theirs 110.
Well Galar did seem to hint that theres always more than 8 gyms. Any other gym types out side the major 8 gyms are designated as minor league gyms. So my guess is that this a thing in all regions. Not just a Galar thing.
Watch the ninth gym be some random omniboosted dragon threatening to destroy the entire region like Ultra Necrozma from USUM or Giratina from Legends Arceus.
I don't know how to get False Swipe TM in original SWSH game, but Ball Guy being 0th Gym Leader should give False Swipe TM instead of Round. It fits "ball used for catching pokemon" so well.
Looking at the first champion in original designs, the first gym leadee (the one before brock, who looks like a kid) would have been a normal type gym leader. Pretty scary, when you consider all normal type moves from the start of the game would have the STAB bonus. Definitely more threatening than brock
I know for a fact that if I was a gym leader, I would be a Ghost type specialist with Hisuian Typhlosion as my main pokemon. Followed by Gengar, Cofagrigus, and Alolan Marowak. My TM would be Nightmare or Shadow Ball. And my Badge would be the Spectre Badge.
Actually in pokemon world it was cannon that they are many gyms in every region the pokemon chairman picks the gym that will be required to enter the pokemon league thats why in paldea geeta wanted to test the gyms if they are perfoming well or not if not she will replace them with other gym in paldea by that this task was given to the player the test is fighting them again for geeta, in the anime the electabuzz and scyther gyms want to be official gyms but the rule is one gym per city i dont remember if both become a gym or only one forgot the ending
None, nurse joy who was a League official rejects both because of their bad attitudes. At the end of the episode the two "gym leaders" will help the people of the city in order for them to finally become official gym leader in the future, they understood their mistakes (sorry if I make English mistakes, I'm from France!)
the only thing this video lacks to make it a 10 plus video is: spread animation segment which you do in the beginning of almost every video. I also thought it was a fun and original video concept so keep up the good work with these types of videos.
I feel like some region should have the electric type gym with a Toxtricity, Raichu, Dracozolt, Boltund, and the ace being a terastal electric Gyrados. This doesn’t make sense cause they are mostly from Galar but I added a terastal which is from Paldea but it doesn’t matter. I added gyrados cause people would get a ground type to fight but then of course gyrados with terastal would be weak to it but it also has a counter to ground cause I didn’t wanna copy Ionoand her levitate mismagius as her counter
the ninth gym leader for Kanto should literally be the Fighting Dojo. it was either (a) already a gym before it lost to the Psychic gym or (b) fought the Psychic gym to see who would be the official gym of Saffron City
Unless I'm hallucinating, didn't they say early in the anime that there are usually more than 8 gyms, but you only need 8 badges to qualify for the league?
I think a Bug type gym would suit Kanto best cause Agatha is a Ghost type specialist and Bruno is a fighting type specialist so that would rule out those types since Gym Leaders can't overlap with Elite 4 members. As for the team it would be Butterfree, Beedrill and Venomoth with Scyther and Pinsir being good replacements for Beedrill and Butterfree
Johto gyms compensate for the missing types in Kanto if you havent notice since they are the only ones that share the same Elite Four and Pokemon League. In fact, Gym Leader Bugsy in Azalea Town uses a Scyther as his final Pokemon when you battle him.
What would your Gym be like if you were a Gym Leader? 👀
Dark type
Dragon or steel
Ghost.
You have to kill 6 pedestrians and then that determines the gym leaders team
Dragon and dark
Ice/Steel
Silver hated Team Rocket but him becoming a gym leader at the end would be cool but instead of bad pokemon he would use friendship evo’s and his starter and give you the move return to show how much he has grow from the start

Or in Pokémon glazed, he’s a leader in evergreen town or smth
OK, I am making my own headcanon teams for all these new extra gym leaders; this is such an awesome concept
I would say that in Kanto you could also just re-establish the Fighting Dojo as a Fighting Type Gym
Well technically it’s possible that the 9th gym in Gen 1 was in the cut town south of Celadon city, I think if my research on prototype data is correct Giovanni would have been that leader.
you can't have two gym in one city unless it's only work if it's version exclusive

So basically Mr Fuji would just be a gen 1 Morty?
there was a 9th gym in the anime though it was never shown the badge was, Gary Oak had a badge from said gym. remember he did not receive the badge from Viridian city and still made it to the Pokémon league. scratch that there were at least 3 additional gyms in kanto in the anime as Gary had 10 badges without the one from viridian city
For Kanto and Johto, I think a dark type and fairy type gym would work best. I don't know which one to put in each region. With the 2 extra gyms, all 18 types would have exactly one gym in the entire "Kanjoh area".
Literally 2 minutes later edit: I agree that the lake of rage would have made for a good dark type gym, which means putting a fairy type gym in Kanto somewhere...
if I was an gym leader, my type would be water. I think im the only
Dendra Gym Badge doesn't look like a boxing glove it looks 'AMOGUS'
It’ll be cool if the games had hidden/secret gyms. Some of which would have Pokémon with types that is unique only to that gym. Example: A Pikachu that’s a flying type (not talking about tera). Maybe a gym that is leveled to your level +10. That way the leader will always be stronger then you, level 100 will make theirs 110.
I always thought there was more gyms then the ones in game. I swear in the anime there was badges from other gyms
Yea like 14 gyms. I once counted and ash and Gary's badges.
Well Galar did seem to hint that theres always more than 8 gyms. Any other gym types out side the major 8 gyms are designated as minor league gyms. So my guess is that this a thing in all regions. Not just a Galar thing.
Crunch was made into a tm in gen 9 so I think in universe it could work.
Always thought Hitmontop was doing Capoeria not break dancing
I would want the Lavender Town gym for myself!
Shigeru already got 10 Badges before facing Sakaki so at least there are 11 gyms in Kanto
But the ball guy, the absolute Chad that he is, doesn't he just want to be the mascot for the galar gym challenge?
Kanto already had a 9th gym. It was a fighting type gym in saffron city.
Looking at the first champion in original designs, the first gym leadee (the one before brock, who looks like a kid) would have been a normal type gym leader. Pretty scary, when you consider all normal type moves from the start of the game would have the STAB bonus.
Definitely more threatening than brock
Ghost literally doesn’t get enough love.
Ball guy was actually just added to masters ex. He has an amogus, I his team would probably be a foongus and Voltorb since he's the first gym
@@lordtordef1681 thx my dude i forgot the ending of that anime
The Johto section is just complete character assassination of Silver, Dobbs, what the fuck were you thinking? 😂
the only thing this video lacks to make it a 10 plus video is: spread animation segment which you do in the beginning of almost every video.
I also thought it was a fun and original video concept so keep up the good work with these types of videos.
He destroyed kio by saying " but.. it's Sabrina, why psychic she would've destroyed him with normal type too " 😂😂
dobbs: dummy tulip
me: and i took that personally she is my favorite gym leader
Cool idea. I always wanted a normal gym in gen 1 back in the day. I know, it sounds boring lol
I hope the Unova remakes let you go to all the gyms from there.
the ninth gym leader for Kanto should literally be the Fighting Dojo. it was either (a) already a gym before it lost to the Psychic gym or (b) fought the Psychic gym to see who would be the official gym of Saffron City
Unless I'm hallucinating, didn't they say early in the anime that there are usually more than 8 gyms, but you only need 8 badges to qualify for the league?
I mean it do that if u consider the dojo master right next door to erica
Wait. Doesn’t kalos already have a fighting gym….?
Yes. But the gym he talked about wasn’t a fighting type gym. It was just run by a fighting guy in a dojo. Technically the theme was dancing pokemon
Technically Agatha is poison type specialist but is referred as ghost type specialist. All of her Pokemon are part poison type.
Johto gyms compensate for the missing types in Kanto if you havent notice since they are the only ones that share the same Elite Four and Pokemon League. In fact, Gym Leader Bugsy in Azalea Town uses a Scyther as his final Pokemon when you battle him.
