Thanks Larry, I'm going to go back and try it again for the 5th time, but this time I'm going to lift up the front which I haven't been doing. Be back in a little while with an update.
I had trouble aligning my grizzly 458Z. I got busy sanding some small parts using the left side of the sander. Now the belt that feeds the stock is off the table and curled over on the right side. Is there anything I can do other than replacing it??? Thank you...
Hi there! Luckily, you found the perfect resource for fixing your dilemma in this video. If you follow its instructions, it should help you out in getting your belt back on track. Unfortunately, if the belt is damaged or stretched excessively from contact, then it needs to be replaced. We'd be happy to assist you in purchasing the correct replacement belt, if that's the case. Just reach out to our Customer Contact team! I hope that helps!
Hey Larry, Good video. At the bottom of the legs, What is the outside measurements? I need to build a cart for it before it arrives. Shipped out on Friday
Hi Chris! Here's the spec sheet for the G0458Z, so you have all the info you'll need for building your cart: cdn0.grizzly.com/specsheets/g0458z_ds.pdf We'd love to see your finished product!
Hi Fernando! For the G0458, the available sandpaper in the accessories section of the product page on Grizzly.com will be compatible with the model. All of them should be available for easy shipping directly to you. I hope that helps!
I know this post was a while ago, but FYI, I ordered a top cover for a G0458Z and put it on my G0458. The hinge holes don't line up, but 2 of the 4 I was able to bolt through existing ones. The old side dust collector port is blocked by the new cover, which is great so you don't have dust flying out the side. They charged me $57 + shipping. If you have a tap & die set, you could drill out new holes to bolt the thing as well, but footprint wise, Definitely worked for me.
Larry really knows how to soup-up the machines to get maximum performance!!
I’m glade to see a video on adjusting the belt. It helped me very much. Thank you.
Glad it helped

Any tips for making the up/down crank stay in one place? Anytime I need to put it at 3 or 9 o'clock it falls down to 6 o'clock.
I just took delivery on my G0458Z and noticed the same thing. Did you ever get a resolution for this issue?
Do you have a video on how to square up the table to get an even thickness across the entire workpiece?
We don't have a video on this yet but thank you for the suggestion! We'll get this on our video list and agree this would be valuable to the end user.
This looks like wood be pretty much same thing for Shop Fox W1854 Open-End Drum Sander, 18"

@@grizzlymachines Thank you very much.
What is the correct model, to buy online, of sandpaper for G0458? I guess it depends on the grain, for example the 200 grain?

The G0458z head covers work in the G0458?
Hi there! No, I'm afraid the G0458Z covers will not fit the G0458. Sorry about that!
@@grizzlymachines I thought about installing the G0458z cap to my G0458 to connect the 4" suction hose directly. No problem! Thank you very much.
