Thanks for feeding the world. Farmers are under appreciated.
absolutely true. if farmers and truckers decided they didnt wish to play any longer. if the truckers decided to park every last rig until they get more respect and if farmers decided to isolate so the stuff they grow and produce only goes to their farm. that would shut not only the country but the world down.
☹️☹️☹️
So true but many a voter who believes that is still voting in anti-farmer policies and allowing Big AG WTO to reign
Pete: Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with your farming fans at the show. It was hot and you could have very easily told everyone no or even cancelled your meetup. I (we) would have waited twice as long to meet you. You were amazingly polite and your personality shines through when you got down on my fostership boy's (protective custody,) level to talk to him. The smile you put on his face was there all weekend. He told everyone and anyone around that Mr. Pete from RUclips talked to us about farming and worms. He even pointed out that he was wearing his red wiggler worm shirt. Even at school yesterday he talked about meeting Mr. Pete, Mr. Pete talking about worms, and he was able to ride in a golf cart. Your giant leap of career faith gave me the gumption to quit my job and take the worms to our current size. Thank you much. We will always watch and smile: Elliott & Pat
You're welcome Elliott & Pat! I love meeting viewers at these shows. And I remember our discussion about worm farming; pretty cool.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm my little buddy is under protective custody for "bad decisions" people close to him in life have made. With my newish schedule of worm farming, my wife and I are able to give him as stable of a living arrangement as possible. When we were first introduced to him, he was quiet and quite honestly, in shock. He & I watch every video that you have ever created and posted. Each video gives him 20 minutes or so to immerse himself in a reality that is not his. He knows all the cows & pigs names. If we are out somewhere and someone get loud or pushy, he looks up at me and says: Don't be a Patty! Your videos affect every viewer in a different way. For one five year old, your videos let him escape his reality and allows him to dream (and smell,) what might come true someday. Thank you.
@@mylifewithearl6948 Dang you, I think I got something in my eye ❤️
❤🎉!Absolutely beautiful
Man that show is massive - 100% golf cart required. thanks for sharing
Funny how times have changed. Having a golf cart is strange. But this show is so big it's necessary
All I can say is "Wow Wow Wow" that is the biggest Tractor show I've ever seen. And ok on the heat. yep being a "New Englander" I can relate to dealing with that kind of heat. we're just not used to it.And New York is attached to New England. so I know how you guys felt in the heat. unbelievable amount and types and styles of equpment. can't wait for the next video thanks Pete. Henry,Gray.have fun but stay safe in that heat. ECF
Thank you pete and family, watching the 🇺🇲flag wave while yall were under it..... made my eyes glaze over !! Proud Americans !!!
Thanks for enduring the heat to show us a great show.
Thanks for taking us along with you and your family to see the show! It is so fun to see so many tractors in one spot. I wonder if anyone has been keeping track of the total number of tractors at this show. I bet next year you will see golf carts with AC😂
Now that's a tractor show Pete! Love seeing all the makes and models!
Being an ole USAF vet, those B-52s need a lot of runway when loaded,. 👍💪🙏
Chanute was a tac base and then engine and firefighter school before it closed. The big hanger went up in the late 30s I believe.
@michaelbrash8843 I was actually stationed with a guy that did his fire fighting school at Chanute
Thanks , always heard of Chanute as a training base. I went thru Biloxi, MS.@@michaelbrash8843
Probably the biggest tractor and implement show in the world!!
Back in the early 2000's Rantoul used to host the World Skydiving Championships or Competition. We at St Louis Flight Service would bring the portable Flight Service trailer to Rantoul to give Pilot Weather Briefings prior to flying activities. I remained at Spirit of St Louis airport, but had some friends make the trip.
That big yellow tractor was one hell of a mean machine indeed! 😱 🚜
I can only imagine the logistics of putting an event like this together. Wow!
Huge is an understatement. I've never seen anything like it. Thanks so much for sharing.
71, I believe the show is only put on every other year.
"He's got an adjustment issue," I lost it 😂
Grey is definitely your Mini-Me Pete!!!! Great kids and enjoy!
It was really neat to get to talk with you for a few minutes. It sure was hot on Thursday! I did end up finding a draw bar for my Farmall m!
Thank you very much for this great video Pete, greetings from the Netherlands 🙋♂️
Henry is taking on man qualities. Big shoulders, strong jaw, etc. Good job Pete and Hillary.
You're at Chanute Air Force Base, brings back memories.
I used to march on that flight line back in the winter of 1982-1983 while attending USAF technical training right after basic training. No amount of winter weather clothing protected you from the cold biting wind
She looks mostly empty now. They closed the air museum a few years back.
I worked down there during that winter. Most folks don't realize what -60 degree wind chill even feels like. 40 mph wind at below zero temps coming across the flat land with no windbreaks was enough for me to move back north where it was warmer.
Fantastic Presentation as usual Pete. Looking Fwd to the next ones!!
Finally!!! The right color tractor on the thumbnail!! 😂❤. Looking forward to this video - Thanks Pete 🇨🇦
Pete, thanks for the tour. Didn't go this time, too hot for me. Quite a long distance for you to visit.
I was just looking at your page to see why I haven’t seen a video from you in a while. Started to worry about you! Glad your back!!
Hey Pete. Great to see you and the family enjoying the Half Century show. It's Huge! Hope you had a great time. Enjoy 👍
Thank You Pete and kids for the tour !
The editing is either way easier or way harder. Hard to tell which. Stay hydrated! The show looks incredible!
Love those steam engines. They just have that sound you can't beat.
Thanks to you and the kids for taking this old grandpa along with you. Very interesting. And to Mom, thanks for letting us all go.
I was stationed at Chanute for tech school Dec. '87 to Apr. '88. Glad to see it being used for something!
One of the hangars is now and indoor motocross track
@@frankboyd7993 I had seen that! The empty one was probably where the air museum was.
Pete, it was great to meet you in person! My father and I are both big fans of your channel. Reminds me of my younger days growing up on our family farm. Great memories. Keep up the great work!
The best soil that I have been able to create is with wood chips and my farm animal waist. Mixed and all my wood chips come from splitting wood . But it has taken years.
WoW! Thanks Pete, that's huge!!
Perfect first video of the show thanks Pete. It's amazing the variety on show, can't wait for the next instalment
Shows like these are amazing with all the history on display. To holdover at n airport like that would be beyond words!
Thanks for sharing it with us!
Glad you and Evan finally got to meet at the show! I've watched his Chanel since you suggested it a year ago! Thanks!
In 1966-67, I was in the miltary. Went to tech school at Chanute AFB for 9 months to learn to operate and maintain flight simulators. Best career move I made.
traffic jam, take me back to Just A Few Acres!
It was great to meet you! You are such a humble and genuine person.
Thank God you were able to get a golf cart !! There's NO way anyone could walk that.
What an amazing show !! Glad you're having fun with the kids. 🚜🚜🚜
My Dad had old Allis Chalmers and Massey Ferguson tractors. Part 1 brought back memories.
Great video again and thanks for doing this 👍 😊
Pete you gotta mini me! Your daughter looks just like you! Good on ya! ✌🇺🇸
Train tractor got my 6 year old very excited!
I just wanted to thank you for including the raising of our flag. Much appreciated Pete.
❤🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks Pete/Daughter and Son, for showing-us guy's from florida the tractor show up north. some cool tractor's..
It is the golf cart capitol of the world We always enjoy it. But having a golf cart is a must
The machines that built American agriculture!
Setting out on back deck, ready for Pete’s video. Yay 😁
got my coffee
the reel mower for the cub tractor was awesome, the ford four wheel drive was actually a Steiger built for ford
Thank you , Pete, for the impressions of the first day at the show..
Thank you for this awesome video.
Greetings from Austria.
Super grateful Pete for sharing such an amazing fair. Totally new for me but I love it. Thank you and your children. Very encouraging to see farming staying alive. We can’t live healthy without real farmers 🙏♥️
Looks like fun! Making memories with your kids!
Pete. I was able to talk to you on Friday afternoon ! It was nice talking to you and your daughter !
Dang i missed ya ! I like your videos 👍🏻
Thanks for taking us to the farm show through your videos
Pete - Your coverage of the flag raising was excellent! Thank you.
Rantoul (Chanute AFB, the base of my early teens...). Dad was stationed there for 3 years from Jan 1 '72 thru Dec 31 '74. Many memories of that wonderful base. Had my 5-speed stingray bike and the base was mine. Lived on the NE corner on the base and rode all over the place. Thanks for the tour!
Housing is rental now. Headed down hill.
was stationed there in 1975@@michaelbrash8843
@@michaelbrash8843 yeah, I know. Drive thru there a few years ago and saw the place and was, dare I say, dismayed at what I saw? Didn't like what I was looking at. Lots of places rotting... Sad to see.
Pete i enjoyed speaking to you at the show. This was my second time to attend. I enjoy watching your day to day life on your farm. Harry Collins Tupelo MS.
Thanks for sharing Pete Glad that a couple of your children came along too
Morning Pete, we were there on fri, sorry we missed you. I agree with you on the need for a golf cart.
Thanks for sharing the video Pete. Of all the ones to miss I couldn't make it. 100 years of the Farmall tractor. Glad y'all were able to make it.
What an awesome experience!
Golf cats sure were necessary.
Glad to see your children enjoying this day with you.
The heat made the day slow, but we’ll worth the adventure.
Thanks for sharing. 🚜
Thanks for taking us along with you three. We were plainning on coming up there and meeting you guys....BUT, the weather was just too hot. Us oldies can't take this heat. Bummer for us!! Maybe someday we'll meet you.
Take Care...................
Old Glory, a sight to behold
Love the vintage farm equipment, it tells of simpler times. Glad you came to the show, sorry about the steam bath, that Illinois is in August. Hope you and your kids had a great time.
All the carts driving to and fro merging and dropping off like a bee hive. A Swarming pattern at interesting activity and just plain mayhem, but fun. It's like a "be in" from the old hippy days. I wish we all could be there without the heat.
I was stationed at that airbase around 50 years ago.
I really hope to make it to this show next year. It was also extremely surprising to recognize someone in the video who was driving a tractor at the show!!! What a small world
Now thats a tractor show.
Thanks for the ride along
Thanks for sharing the video with 2 of your children.l loved this toys tracters.please be careful.God bless.
I’m looking forward to seeing the farmalls from the beginning and each year.
Thanks, Pete! That's what the Ithaca farmers market needs, Gulf carts.😅
Thanks for your effort. Heat isn’t pleasant but at least it isn’t raining.
Thank you!
I dont know one tractor from the other except by color. They are all beautiful. Thank you
So glad you got to meet Evan with Country View Acres! I love watching your channel and the great content you produce from here in norther Illinois!
Thanks pete for taking us around ttat display of rractors on your golf buggy with the family
Pete! Sorry I missed you at Rantoul. I was a vendor and it was hot! You and your kids are troopers to last as long as you did in that heat. Keep on keeping on!!
Nice to see American ingenuity on display.
Lindeman brothers in Yakima WA built these for John Deere from 1935-1947. John Deere was very impressed with the product and bought the company from the Lindemann Brothers.
Looks like you got some sun Pete! Stay hydrated. Thanks for sharing!
Hey Pete, thanks for filming in that heat for all of us. We appreciate it and loved the video!!!!! 🚂💪👍🚂
Just brilliant thanks Pete have a wonderful time .bet the kids are loving it to , ✔️
I wish I was there!! I grew up in Chicago!! N have da best memories of Normal n Southern !!❤❤
Great one
Wow, I had no clue, that show was so BIG. THANKS FOR SHARING 😊
thanks for showing us around! a lot of American pride on display, impressive
Awesome Pete, an air conditioned hotel room was for sure great after that day
A Red Power Roundup, Gathering Of The Orange, and 2 Cylinder Expo all rolled into one.. with just about all ofher makes too!!
Wheeewee that CASE steamer was worth the trip I bet! Like stepping back in time! Very cool, Pete.
Pete, we are so happy for you and your family. You are such a hard working man. You deserve this. So cool that your kids were able to join you. Keep making your videos for us so we can be there with you.
You did so well, especially in the heat. I would have been done in half an hour. Neat to see all of the beautiful tractors.
I find it funny to just a bunch of gold carts swarming to a spot because they saw a bunch of tractors heading in a direction. It’s like bees swarming to flowers
Awesome video
Thanks for dealing with the heat Pete you did better than I would have did good video thank you for your time
Ah, Chanute AFB. I spent nearly 4 years there when I was early in my AF career. That was 45 years ago. My daughter was born there.
