    Hey Ryan, being videographer myself, great job! Lots of editing, lots of footage. I feel your pain, it worth it! 🎉🎉🎉 please don’t give up, it takes time when people noticed it. Keep telling the story about indigenous people, this is more than just an aviation. US citizens don’t realize how hard the life can be.

    Another great video - all in a day's work bush flying in PNG! I really enjoy seeing what happens on the ground and the footage was very well edited with the mixture of camera, drone and helicopter coverage - very effective. A very atmospheric flight back Goroka - you make look so easy Ryan.

    That is the tail section of a B-24 Liberator, upside down with both vertical fins torn off. Interesting find. The rest of the plane could be anywhere within a mile more or less, depending on what altitude it was at when that piece got blown off. Most likely in combat.
    The rear turret is also missing, but you can make out where it was.

    Ryan, thanks for a superb and very varied episode of a busy bush pilot day! Just superb drone and chopper footage around the village. Seeing all the kids is lovely and no doubt, the highlight of their day is seeing all the sweet smelling turbine machinery arrive in their back yard. Great decision making enroute back to Goroka! Cheers from NZL, David.

    Really enjoyed this video! The extra camera angles and footage from the drone and helo and cargo bays really made it awesome! Nice to see the little white dot up close too. Do you know the background on that wreckage? Great job on continuing your narration after your audio went out--very seamless. Did you use a special audio filter or jump in another plane and narrate through your headset while watching the clips you had already edited?

    • @MissionaryBushPilot
      @MissionaryBushPilot  8 месяцев назад +2

      I don't know any details on the wreck unfortunately. I looked, but couldn't find anything. And yes, I edited.it, then did a voice over the footage so that the sound was the same

      Kind of like any formation flying. Discuss strategy/plans with the pilot ahead of time: like determine what side of runway you'll stay on at different phases of operations so the pilot doesn't have to worry about hitting you. Get a transceiver (or at least receiver) so you can hear pilot communicating with you. Caution: wake turbulence.

    Wow, just Wow! I am so excited to have found your channel! Way back in 1990 I had the tremendous experience of flying from PDX to Port Moresby to Lae to Kimbe on West New Britain with NTM on a short term building project. A multi hour ride in the back of an overloaded truck out of Kimbe, and a 20 minute Heli ride to our final destination. 2 cyclones, washed out bridges, rascals, camp guards with spears and bows, children singing, all night pig roasting.....your video brought back so many memories. Subscribed, and will scratch together some Patreon cash. You show some amazing flying skills. When I ride right seat in my Brother-in-law's Kitfox, I like flat ground and clear skies!!

    Respect Ryan for the great work you do in PNG!
    But I just keep asking myself how come these single engined planes are allowed to fly there? If your one engine fails you are going down in unforgiving terrain. No redundancy!
    I am a seafarer doing dynamic positioning work. Everything related to navigation and maneuvering is triple redundant as a requirement by the IMCA. And in the unlikely event that everything fails we are still floating. And if we sink the rescue options are also redundant.
    You must have a lot of confidence in that one engine (and in the maintenance crew)
