If we sign someone like Eze (IF!), would be perfect competition for Maddison. An Eze-like 10 plus a proper 6 are must-buys this summer. Helps offensively and defensively. Also need a winger, a 9, a left-sided CB and 2 full backs. And a 2nd string sweeper keeper. That's 8 quality players we need to be where we want to be.
@@dutchgrass - Agreed. I'm not even sure it's possible to fulfil that quota in one window. I have absolutely no expectation that any of this will be addressed this summer or the next. I'd be on cloud 9 if we managed a 6 and a 10 worth their salt. But I'm allowed to dream...
If we get a marquee signing. Quality no 9. Isak would be amazing. 6 would be fantastic too but we're too wasteful and need goals early to open up teams in low blocks. Once they're opened up we can keep the throttle down.
Sorry for a third comment but just wanted to say: Dan's insights/opinions made a nice addition to the show overall. His mic was noticeably louder than everyone else though. Probably cos he's wearing headset with the mic right near his mouth. Might wanna manage the levels to be more consistent between panellists. Keep up the good work though lads. COYS!
Thanks for flagging Tango! Yea we had a couple of technical issues on the last 2 videos hence the editing is lower quality. Back to normal for the next episode though where we will have smooth and crisp audio/video ☺️ COYS
I really would like to see Romero in the 6. Could also fill-in for Porro as an attacking RB. He likes to go marauding forward anyway. Shots outside the box? Romero. Winning the ball high-up the pitch? Romero. Work rate? Romero. He can help massively with positions where we're lacking.
Just a note to the panel. Quite a few times players have been labelled by their number and each time the number infers something that is historically associative to the panel member i.e is a number 8 a box to box, a deep lying playmaker, or a mezzala, etc?. Same argument for a 10 AMC or SS....what are they? The number doesn't matter, the position doesn't matter. Putting numbers to positions and the type of playing style is antithesis to fluid and the type of football Ange is trying to instil ( from what I understand). Fluid means players adapt to the situation...not positions adapt. The difference in wording is subtle but on field it is night and day.
Imagine if we could just defend set pieces better. If son is so good how is he still at Spurs ? I'd bet two bob that Son gives the ball away more often than any other Spurs player, other than perhaps Richarleson. Facing goal in the final third as good as most, back to the goal not so much.
Great chat lads. Cheers

don't disagree, just don't expect all that to be addressed this summer.

@@LanielDevy no need to be disheartened, I fully expect many to be addressed this summer & all by next.
@@dutchgrass disheartened aint gonna happen. If anything, I'm looking forward to the transfer window.
@@LanielDevy love it, COYS!

He’s terrible back to goal and gets dispossessed too much, but in terms of losing possession in all aspects of play Porro nearly doubles him
