You’re absolutely right, same thinking as me, but in the case of bugs, I wouldn't mind if the game had some glitches, that can be fixed in a few months, as it has happened in almost all battlefields, a great example of what I considered to be one of the best Battlefields if not the best of all, is Battlefield 1, I played the open beta and from the beginning of its release of the full game, at that time it always had failures and bugs that they later fixed very well, everything was balanced, but I never cared because the design and purpose of what they wanted to give to the players so that they could enjoyed it, BF1 was a very good model. The same was asked with Battlefield 5 and the trash of Battlefield 2042 and the only thing they brought was that, garbage, so for the next battlefield I think that in the first place to revive the saga, which for me and for many others we already consider it as dead, so if they want to revive it, they need to bring something surprisingly amazing, very well done and that at least competes, which I doubt very much and I doubt much more that it will even surpass its main competitor which is COD.

yep, they thought it would take much more dev time to remove the scoreboard, ensure recoil bug is still present, make mouse input feel terrible and record cringe specialist voice lines.
They are so far ahead, they can even start to remove and break stuff that worked well in battlefield 2042, you can bet the team are hard at work breaking the plus system and removing portal.

Actually that's incorrect "tremendous live service" means "we don't make money on maps and guns so instead we are gunna give you 1 map instead of 2 and 2 guns instead of 4, and give you +100 more overpriced skins, +50 more over priced gun charms oh and the battle pass will be longer but only include premium items you need to buy extra"

Them having a playable version of the game but not planning for a release before FY 2025 is a good sign, but man am I ever tired of "live service" content. They need to release maps/guns/vehicles/gadgets in expansions and save battlepass for cosmetic stuff EXCLUSIVELY.
Just bin the battle pass completely, it was way better when you could just pay for the stuff you wanted rather than suffer playing a shit game to obtain it through grinding (and still paying for it).
Bring back the BF4 way of doing it with season passes and standalone cosmetics, but at sensible prices, no one in their right mind should be paying £8.99 for 1 gun camo and a charm.....I remember that type of stuff was like £1.99 tops in older games like MW2
Main reason bf is still at least somewhat alive and populated is the lack of alternatives. Cod / mw is a different feel. The realistic stuff like squad is something else. Battle royal is different. Round based line valorant and cs is different. Battle bit and ww3 didn't really make it. Hero shooter like Overwatch are something else. So I'm only playing bf from time to time because there is nothing similar where we could move to instead.

@@axeldenvon yep i think it might come closest to a bf kind of feel and gameplay, with some differences. I'm playing Overwatch and sometimes hell let loose, but it's a pretty different gameplay. I haven't found something that's close to a round of conquest or breakthrough with that kind of gunplay and gameplay between arcade and a little realism.

enlisted is free to play and way better than battlefield in terms of guns, tanks, planes, and maps, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but damn do i love flying realistic planes.
Making a worse Battlefield game than BF2042 is serious statement it will require more effort and resources than making playable a decent battlefield game.

I think what gives me a very small sliver of hope (very small) for battlefield 2025 is that didn't they start working on it during s5 so they are gonna get like 2.5 years to work on it unlike bf2042 where they worked on it for a year than scrapped the original game and only gave them 6 months to work on it and we'll we all know how bf2042 ended up

On the subject of empty or inflated promises: I've been working as an art director in marketing teams for almost 20 years and this hollow PR talk is understandably annoying. BUT: What would be the alternative? Writing to investors and the public that the next Battlefield game “currently plays pretty shitty, even worse than 2042, the new iteration of the Frostbite engine has the same problems as the old one, we're getting desperate...”?
That's how advertising for a product works.

I fucking hope that the live service is like Helldivers 2's live service. I would love for players actions actually impact the equipment and maps that we get. Being able to get specific maps by one side purposely throwing to be able to play in capital cities would be awesome.
