  • Fire in the Sky mission | My first try at Heart of the Swarm Nightmare Difficulty StarCraft 2 Campaign created by Rhyme! I actually didn't like the original HotS campaign much because it was too easy and too Diablo-esque mechanics. I've been told this Nighmare Difficulty mod will change my mind though - can't wait!

    alright info dump time for old soliders: Initial surprise attack is shorter than normal, together with nerfed banelings and kerrigan you can now clear way less stuff. Warfield also actievely tries to retake bases and rebuild production if you let him. gold base now has 1 lesss mineral patch and bases have less ressources overall. to make up for that there is a new base in the center. for the abberation: HP reduced from 275 to 250 and base armor reduced from 2 to 1, damage increased from 20+20vs armored to 30+15 vs armored, also has better upgrade scaling compared to regular hots campaign. abberations are generally slept on in the hots campaign but they are actually better than baseline ultralisks as a frontline unit, especially having higher dps and requiring almost no tech (lair + evo chamber) to get them out. the damage buff in nightmare mode lets them kill pretty much all units with 1 hit less than before. abberations are also aside from the collossus the only unit that can walk over other units making them viable along with other melee units like zerglings and banelings while also not getting stuck behind roaches or hyrdas, it also makes them the only melee unit that can stutterstep through enemy units to increase surface area. for the impaler: the impaler is by design an offensive siege unit, it received amassive damage buffs with bonus damage to structures while their 11 range allows them to siege enemy fortifications from afar. the lurker on the other hand is a defensive splash unit with only 8 range (still 2 more than base campaign) they can't be used effectively to siege enemies but are far more effective for defending key locations instead. next up is going to be the baneling evolution mission and after that it depends on where PiG decides to go next which is either dominion space with 2 no-build missions or skygeirr station with 3 macro missions. anyway good job PiG for clearing this map faster than grant on his first playthrough.

    I think in that particular moment it was more of an attempt to just "prove Warfield" wrong about "Jim seeing her now".
    She wouldn't have done that if he hadn't said anything about it. But because she felt slighted in the moment, she did that to kinda spit on his grave thing like "F you, you don't know me".
