Spike had, when circuit chipped🤦🏻, Only Buffy didn’t take him to admit her love for spike while they were still enemies before had feelings for plus she mistreated him like crap as a thing🙂↔️ only spike forgot already, before got his soul back which asked for til the end (also Angel didn’t ask for while Angelus only got cursed as punishment by gypsies for actions of slaughter) which in his fate til being resurrected from amulet, also spike was souless before, when Buffy still has her love for Angel in the begining before spike arrived only too late which he had dru as when he was a villain🤷🏻♂️
Buffy was obsessively in love with Angel for 4 seasons versus her being depressed and hooking up with Spike a few times only to dump him. He thinks he had her in more ways. 😂😂😂
@@miaamer7718 Buffy was shut off emotionally before and after Joyce passed. It’s one of the reasons Riley walked away. Angel showed up at the grave and Buffy immediately grabbed for him. She sat with him all night talking about her feelings and worries. After she came back from heaven, she left to go meet with Angel. We didn’t see that one of course but it was important to her. He showed up again in the finale and Buffy instinctively kissed him. Spike with a soul was there the entire season 7 and she never attempted to go all in with him. Buffy’s connection to Angel never fades no matter how much time passes for them. She didn’t feel the same for Spike. She cared for him but never loved him in the way he loved her.
@jevonk You are aware that Joss himself stated that she is IN LOVE with spike and that when she told him she loved him in the end she meant it. Even after she came back from seeing Angel in season 6 she is still in her daze seeing him didn’t change any of that. But only in the times where she interacts with Spike does she to really snap out of her daze. Even the guy that co- directed Angel along side Joss said that they’ve moved on and that what they had was a first love and it is where it will remain. And to add to that Joss has confirmed that Spike is the one for Buffy.
P.S Joss has also confirmed that the scenes that Angel was in Buffy in season 7 was in fact fan service for the vocal minority that shipped them. Even afterwards she goes back home to snuggle with Spike, not Angel.

One of my top favorite characters! I honestly never really liked Angel. Kinda bland 😂

Only because he was her first. But, Spike and Buffy’s relationship was ten times more meaningful to her than her relationship with Angel.
