I hope you enjoy this lesson as much as I enjoyed making it. Typo Corrections: the Bb7 is a sub for E7, not a sub for Eb7 - it's mislabeled on the intro chords but explained correctly during the lesson at 4:23 . Second Typo: the very first B major chord, the note labeled b7 is just the root (1) 🤪. Also, Jimi was tuned down a whole step here which means his fingers were two frets higher than as shown, but I kept it like this so people can stay in standard tuning. His strings must have been super slinky like that - usually he tuned down just a half step!!!
    Here are the chapters:
    0:00 - Intro Chords
    0:15 - measures 3 and 4 A7 opening opening riff
    0:24 - measure 5 D7 riff
    0:31 - measure 6 and 7 - D7 to A7 riff
    0:43 - measure 8 A7 riff
    0:46 - measure 8-9 - A7-E7 riff
    0:54 - measure 10 D7 riff
    0:58 - measure 10 to 11 D7 to A7 riff
    1:03 - measure 11 A7 to D7 riff
    1:05 - measure 11 to 12 D7 to A7 riff
    1:09 - measure 12 A7 to E7 Riff
1:13 - intro chords variation to start second round of 12 bars
1:25 - intro from Gary on overview of lesson
1:58 - Gary plays Hendrix’s riffs with his own variations
    2:27 - Gary’s goal for the lesson
2:40 - Gary’s courses preview (soloing for complete beginners, fretLIVE fretboard mastery)
3:06 - Explanation and breakdown of the mishap between Noel and Jimi on starting in the wrong key
3:23 - Intro chords lessons and breakdown
4:23 - Jimi’s use of a TRITONE SUBSTITUTION in the intro chords explained!
6:31 - breakdown of the moment Jimi and Noel clash, and Jimi changes keys!
7:10 - measures 3 and 4 A7 opening riff breakdown and Hendrix’s signature two string bending trick
8:43 - measure 5 D7 riff breakdown, when band kicks in
    11:06 - measure 6 and 7 - D7 to A7 riff breakdown
12:29 - How Jimi holds the pick and angles the pick
13:27 - measure 8 A7 riff breakdown and change in tone
    16:45 - measure 8-9 A7-E7 riff breakdown
    18:00 - Jimi’s unique custom string gauge .10 -.38
    18:44 - return to measure 8-9 A7-E7 lick breakdown
    19:57 - measure 10 D7 riff breakdown
    21:43 - measure 10 to 11 D7 to A7 riff breakdown
    22:31 - measure 11 A7 to D7 riff breakdown
    23:06 - measure 11 to 12 D7 to A7 riff breakdown
    23:41 - measure 12 A7 to E7 riff breakdown
24:14 - Play through of transcription, note for note at full speed, and tips on making it your own!
25:36 - Play through, but slightly changes ideas to help make them part of my own vocabulary!
26:52 - 12 Bar Jam Track! Your Turn to Jam!
28:08 - Thank you to Pow Music Patrons!

😂 then you find out ALL musicians are CHOSEN for you! 😂 there are plenty of great musicians around, but none of them have the bloodlines or will do the worst kind of thing to another human being for the game and glory. This is why so many have drug addiction because they were born into the family, and thus heavily abused or they done that to others, nearly always children. Musical Truth vol 1-3. Read this. Weird Scenes Inside Laurel Canyon. Read this. Nothing is by chance. No more heroes. Pretty good way to start living your life and not idolising others.

These videos are immensely helpful and interesting. I can't imagine how painstaking it is in editing to map and color code the notes being played, but it really does break down something that might appear complex to such a simple and easy to read thing. You earned a subscriber.
